Ok guys, you've proven Sweden still deserves me.
You can now ask me to get back from international retirement and I'll gladly say yes.
Ok guys, you've proven Sweden still deserves me
Ok guys, you've proven Sweden still deserves me.
I really hope he doesn't come back. The strength of the swedish team lies in team-spirit and organization, and he completely ruined that when he played for Sweden. Just look at this obnoxious tweet.
In all seriousness I'd take him but keep him on bench and only field him if the situation is dire 15 minutes before the final whistle to rally the other players.
hes coming back right ?
Doesn't matter, he will still ruin it when he starts nagging like a little bitch at the others in half-time.
Give him his own locker room.
G-guys, you can call me anytime. Please.
I don't think he's good for team morale/locker room. Our new manager isn't a betacuck like our last one, but still... I don't know.
He doesn't deserve to start, if he can be in the squad as a sub, sure.
No Thanks fuck him
He ruins team harmony. He doesnt give a shit about teammates, the NT or Sweden. All he play for is his own ego. His time in the team was a mental terror for the other players. Hes just to selfish.
I really despise him.
Yeah you might be right.I don't think his ego would allow for him to be a sub.
dude fuck the gameplan gimme the ball im zlatan, im gonna walk around up here with their CBs
His ego is what is going to stop him from coming back though. What if he comes back and Sweden completely fails? Wouldn't look very good for his "brand".
Zlatan sending the classic "Oi sumida" to sweden right now
Zlatan is litterally the worst best player.
He IS very talented, but how the fuck does that matter when you have an ego the size of Jupiter, and you are so arrogant that you make the whole team play worse?
It's quite funny with him. I don't think it's his fault that the team played like shit. I just think Hamren was like "fuck it guys, just play the ball to zlatan, he'll do something"
I don't think Ibra would take other people's glory. He wasn't part of the team that qualified.
I just think Hamren was like "fuck it guys, just play the ball to zlatan, he'll do something"
But thats the way he liked it, he hated playing under Lagerbäck who did things more like the current coach
Bring him for banterous purposes
bring him in, then let him sit on the bench the entire tournament
I know but as a coach you either do something for the whole team or not. I'm sure a younger Zlatan would hate that, but beside all the meme shit he does, he has changed to a more mature player.
His attitude has only worsened desu
that kid tears his acl last night
ibra sitting at home with his bionic acls
Its a sign
He was always in conflict under Lagerbäck because Lagerbäck would have none of that shit. He and his two beta orbiters, Mellberg Christian Wilhelmsson, would isolate themselves from the rest of the team when they didn't get what they wanted.
Really? I'm thinking about Blanc, Ancelotti and Mourinho, he had good relationships with all off them. Even Blanc gave him matches off.
He is joking probably. Since he came to United i watched almost all interviews with him and he really seems down to earth and more mature.
Also as i said, it isn't in Zlatan's style to take other people's glory. If he gets a call he might go, but i doubt that he will force it.
he starts nagging
Imagine how retarded you must be to think real Zlatan is like media Zlatan.
It's not the same, there he actually had good teammates to calm his huge ego
Yeah, his public cimp-outs and fights with coaches are just media stunts.
he comes back
we crash out of the group
Don't know if he'd risk the blow to his ego.
real Zlatan is better than media Zlatan
Zlatan comes back
gets 95% of the media's attention, that the rest of the team had worked really hard to deserve
crashes team morale
No thank you
The only ones that liked playing with him was the Isis members
I honestly just want him to come back.
they actually think they have a choice not to recall zlatan after he scores like 20 goals in half a season for United and wins the PL.
You don't know Janne.
He'll get fired for not picking zlatan.
He always makes everything about him and only makes the rest of the team worse, it's not worth it
No he won't. No chance.
He just took us to WC. He won't get fired
You can argue Zlatan was the real manager under Hamén, and that was only good for Zlatans image, the team was the most shit it has ever been.
Now it's better than it has been since like 2006, despite the player material being a bit worse than... ever maybe.
Put Zlatan in this team and it would perform even worse than 2009-2016, as the rest of the players are marginally worse.
We don't want you back.
For once we got an all swedish team.
what did he mean by this?
For once we got an all swedish starting eleven.
He's trying to force himself into the picture, figuratively. His ego is that big.
but why spell it the dutch way? isnt it sverige in swedish?
Z is for Zlatan
The 'Z' is for Zlatan.
He can barely speak Swedish anyway so it could have just been a mistake.
real zlatan randomly kicks his teammates because why the fuck not
but that was probably a media stunt, indeed
his work rate is ridiculous. literally just standing there
i think he'll do more harm than good.
but of course reddit and facebook, etc are all jerking their dicks right now to the thought of le zlatan returning
He's the definition of a meme player so of course reddit will shill for him
lmao that is ridiculous
Sweden plays better without Zlatan
ching chong ling long
He wasn't speaking swedish
This is what happens when you don't protect nipponji's from Italian gypsy pickpockets when they visit Rome.
Sweden isn't meant to have a superstar player. Look at when Sweden won bronze in 1994. No superstars. We are like Iceland but with more people, ego doesn't win you a medal. Good teamwork does.
Maybe he made a haiku about italy's defeat
Is he really that much of a dick on the NT? I've watched a lot of zlatan at club level and he's generally a team player, drops back, assists and an amazing passer for a CF.
Never watched him play for Sweden though.
Where are the Africans? Do they not want to win the WC? They can't come close to teams like France if this is what they have.
He drops way too much back on the NT. I don't get the hate from the swedes on here. I watched him and he was playing fine. But the team lacks a gameplan with him, they just play the ball to him.
is this the american definition of a team player?
dropping back to get more of the ball?
assisting and giving amazing passes?
in football there are a lot of things you can do that benefit the team but isn't seen or remembered by the common fan, and doesn't benefit you directly.
Zlatan does none of that, his value is exactly the goals and assists he make, apart from them, he's a burden to the team, doesn't matter if it's Milan, PSG, Barcelona or Sweden. His lack of work rate and poor success rate in actions will have a negative impact on the team until he creates a goal
To be fair it's not that easy to know how much fault is his and how much Hamrén is the one to blame, since their time in the NT is quite intertwined.
I feel like this team lacks pace. Also, I can't put my finger on it, but I think they are different from other european teams?
yeah the team is better as a unit. Amazing that a blessing like a star player, can be a burden.
We don't need speedy niggers on the wings
With zlatan the team believes they can keep the ball and attack. Without him they sit back and counter because they don't believe in their own skills.
Counter attacking football is cancer.
Swedish forwards a complete garbage though. Any competent forward would've at least scored 1 against italy.
We missed out on 2 penalties, plus Italy never lose home so you don't know what you're talking about
I agree. But Ibra is detrimental to the team anyways.
We should switch out our token negro Thelin out for token dunecoon Ghoddos. He's actually a competent striker, quick, good on the ball. He's doing well in Europa League too
There were 3 clear chances in the 2nd leg.
Yeah but we had a player hurt which killed our offense
Do Swedes even see Zlatan as Swedish?
People will say he should have brought zlatan when they go out in the groups I can tell you that much. Whether he gets fired who knows, I've seen firings over less
No hes just a mercenary
He's not gonna be fired. With this WC qualification he will be manager until contract runs out. Last time Swe were in WC was 2006, it's a really big deal for us.
Yeah. It's a very interesting phenomenon. I think he needs a strong coach to be a good force on a team.
And I don't think the team benefits from him getting about 95% of the attention when he's around. But media is to blame for that.
And this is based on watching how many games with Sweden?
His kids are blond and blue eyed, so I guess it's ok.
Some do, some do not. When debating who is swedish and who isn't his name often pops up. His accent sounds too foreign if you ask me.
Let me tell you about your country: The post
I never understood why his accent was so shit. He grew up in Sweden and sounds like a native jug
that creepy Di Maria look
What did he mean by that?
that's funny because you can hear he is swedish, when he talks in his parents native language
Question is, is Zlatan capable of knowingly combining Zlatan-Sweden to Zweden to also hint our extermination in one go. I don't suppose so. But it raises the question indeed.
He's from malmöee, barely a part of Sweden.
wtf I thought zlatan was idolized in his country
kek, Hamrén failed consistently for seven years and was never fired. Coaching Sweden is a hell of an easy job to keep. Janne need not worry.
He grew up in Rosengård, i don't think he even considered himself a swede until he was an adult
He is, just not on Sup Forums
Didn't Zlat literally say he didn't want to play and that Sweden play better without him?
If I listened to my ego then Sweden would, of course, be a better team with me. But the team has done it really well so far, secured second place in a difficult group [ahead of Holland] and been given this chance to play in the play-offs. The strength of this team is the group
“If I listened to my ego then Sweden would, of course, be a better team with me,” added Ibrahimovic. “But the team has done it really well so far, secured second place in a difficult group [ahead of Holland] and been given this chance to play in the play-offs. The strength of this team is the group.
By the media he is, no doubt.
But by the population it's a lot more mixed.
seems like he checked his ego
So the apology/sucking up tour begins. There is no way he would want to sit out WC. It's absolutely his last chance. He's got like 6-12 months more in him at most
Is that a question?
Would be kind of shitty if you get dropped from the team and can't go to a WC in order for Zlatan to sit on the bench.
He can't win with you right?
If he said the team was poor and shit. you would hate him for it.
If he says the team is doing good, you still hate him
yes, it implies"why wouldnt we"
Because he's not Swedish.
No I don't mind him, he's or at least was a fantastic CF, world class even.
But with the national team it just gets weird. Yes we get better finishing, but also worse defence/teamplay/movement.
born in Sweden
raised in Sweden
Swedish is his native language
shit, someone should tell him
How is he not Swedish?
It's all about team-spirit if you don't have many good players in the team. We need more whites in the team.
Oh, you're those kinds of people.
If someone has done what you believe is wrong over a longer period of time you wouldn't change opinion about that person after the first good thing that person says or does, right?
Building trust takes time and effort.
that i can agree on
how old are you lad?
Swedish is his native language
No it isn't, you can easily tell that when you hear him speak
what is rosengård swedish
See --> Does this mean he doesn't have a native language?
The kind of people who know the difference between ethnicity and nationality?
best looking player ever
He has Swedish citizenship. He is not Swedish.
he was legit bad at it. you know like when you neglect a language for years and years. 20 years later you talk like shit
are you an abo?
He can barely speak swedish?
what is a sociolect
He is Swedish.
He isn't ethnically Swedish.
Literally the viking amerimutts dreams about
A foreign accent
Lel. Didn't think it was that bad.
No. He has an accent. But he has no problems speaking the language.
No, I'm Swedish :^)
Glad you agree that he's not Swedish.
He speaks swedish like an American from the southern states speaking english. Sounds like dogshit but still swedish.
counter-attacking football is cancer
it only caused the greatest league title upset ever
Fuck off you clueless leaf
He speaks swedish like a foreigner, it's not the same
If you use a different language daily it will affect your native accent, nothing strange there
So you were asking if Swedes see him an an ethnic Swede?
mfw Brazil, Spain, Japan in the groupstage draw
Let's hope for Poland, Saudiarabia, Mexico.
Croatia is all >white and has plenty of pace.
Easy win for us
Half of them look like gypsies
Zengin..Durmaz... we are getting the band back together
He is indeed idolized in Bosnia
Oh shit, you're right, those are the clearly Kenyan people, it's where their pace comes from. Thanks lads.
Our players were totally exhausted when those chances came. Defending for 90 minutes against a team of Italy's calibre has some affect on stamina
BOLD PREDICTION: PIRATE'S GETS OTANI... Your thoughts/predictions
Modrić is the least ugly one
He's a Swedish citizen but his ethnicity is bosnian/croatian. Simple as that.
People do love him as a player but our team was way weaker when he was captain and when Hamren was coach. He would always structure his plays around zlatan which was a massive mistake.
Janne might be able to curtail his Ego, especially since he will likely beg to be allowed back onto the team.
I'd love to see him in the WC because he is a reliable scorer, but he has no buisness calling the shots or being the focus of our plays.
Great club player but a subpar NT player
What the fug are you talking about?
We dont even have that much pace aside from perisic and maybe rebic or vlasic.
