What wars/active insurgencies do they have?
Keep in mind peace =! peaceful
Take Mauritania for example
I mean, if slavery's not an issue for you...
because its in our genes. we're raised to view compromise as the worst kind of humiliation; its better to go to war and die than compromise in the slightest
>What wars/active insurgencies do they have?
>he's never heard of the Western Sahara conflict
Tell that to Nevile Chamberlain
those are really low scale and mild stuff compared to an actual war.
also dont think erdoggo will wage war against iraq. he doesnt have the balls. and even if he did it will be very quick.
>Well Turkey and Iran are about to attack Iraq...but also:
>Turkey and Iran attacking a U.S. ally
We WW3 nao
you are a bit naive arent you
...
Really, an American asking this question?
Oil, religion, and colonialism. In no specific order.

turkey wont attack iraq, we ll just sanction their asses with baghdad + iran. some guy very close to erdoggo wrote that turkey wont attack k*rds in iraq. unless its a ruse of course.
What?

War in the Middle East. YAY!
>Iraqi Kurdistan is going to get attacked by Iran, Iraq, and Turkey
Updated
he's not gonna wage war against Iraq, he'll wage war against the KRG. If he did that, Iraq and Iran would support him, even the U.S. might. The only ones who support KRG are israel, and they are just egging them on to drag the middle east into another regional conflict to destroy Iraq even further.
technically this is true
What happens if Israel and Turkey go to war?
Turkey is NATO, but is a cunt
Israel isn't NATO, but a one-sided ally
Israel has to be the aggressor in order for Turkey to be able to trigger Article 5.
you ll support israel. but that wont happen dont worry.
well turkey wont go war against krg as well but turkey will support if baghdad goes war against krg. yesterday baghdad chief of arms was in turkey and said they wont intervene if turkey decides to move in krg lands to our chief of staff. but no one expects our army moving in.
How are we at war?
The ISIS insurgency, but it's still nonsensical to me. If you're "at war," then so is every country in Europe with ISIS attacks.
user....
What seems even more nonsensical is that a country like France who sent the army in various countries isn't considered at war.
Congrats
Who is azerbaijan fighting with
what about Easter Island?
At least Italy, France and Russia are at war out of Europe thats on the map
armoshis
fuck you american rascal fat bitch motherfucker stinky ameripoop. how dare you ask this question,,,haha,, little bastard...,, you have no right motherfucker fuckfuck you american shitskin you are directly implicated silly cuck,, this is all your fault
t. Palestinian "refugee"
syrian*** :DDd
Then they would be red too. Same gows for russia because of the east ukraine insurgency
Turkey has been dealing with an active insurgency in its kurdish territories and has turkish advisors and technical support in northern syria. That's involvement in conflict.
but its pretty low intensity right now, absolutely nothing happens. leafistan has soldiers in syria, you should be colored red with that logic.
The Kurds may get worse if they actually get some kind of independance from Iraq though
Well, yes, that's entirely true.
I'm not saying this map is justified, I'm merely explaining Turkey's inclusion.
No, kurdes from various countries aren't fighting together.
If the Iraqis gain independence, they won't fight for other kurds, nor allow them in the country
i dont really think so but whatever. recent statistics claim k*rds in turkey dont join PKK/YPG anymore.
how recent are these statistics? The more militant kurds are being denied electoral avenues for their politics, and it merely follows from there that one instead heads for the mountains and engage in politics by other means.
2017 government statistics. released may 2nd. they arent really denied politics, current PM binali yıldırım himself is k*rd for example. the ones in the jail are notorious PKK members and everybody that is above 15 year old knows it in Turkey.
As I said, the militant kurds. Not every kurd is itching to run up to the mountains, but ones denied electoral expression (as has occurred with the HDP) certainly would.
I seem to have found articles on the matter. Nonetheless, there's no statement of methodology, no saying how exactly they get these numbers and what they mean. Only PKK numbers are mentioned, not YPG/SDF. It's entirely possible that instead of fighting in Turkey militant kurds wanting an outlet are marching to the Euphrates instead of the mountains.
can read this guy if you want to get a recap of things happening. i quite value his opinions and they are most of the time logical

and no, turkey k*rds kind of had enough of PKK and their war oriented ways according to reports and shit. they dont even join YPG in syria, the numbers are just too low past 2 years (2016 and 2017). apparently YPG draws its members mainly from Europe k*rd diaspora.
armenia and azerbaijan sometimes exchange fire
because of Islam. different sects of islam hate each other with a passion
Populations rarely "have enough" of an insurgency. So long as the original social conditions persist within a given territory, so too does an insurgency. Genocide or infrastructural spending, take your pick, so long as it ain't the status quo.
Tell me, what has Turkey's solution been to regional pacification?
they are building up the cities for example right now due to destruction back in 2014. also turkey always gave whatever it could to the region, like as of right now there is even positive discrimination to k*rds in turkey. idk the exact word.
do you guys even hear about teachers / doctos getting killed by PKK in south-east turkey, in your country? PKK and its terror op is literally the only reason the region is not getting properly developed. because in raelity it has so many potential from touristic places to agriculture. you know the biggest dam in turkey was built there to help agriculture etc. but yeah, we turks kill k*rds on sight, right? its like a national sport.
>do you guys even hear about teachers / doctos getting killed by PKK in south-east turkey, in your country?
Sure we do. Insurgents do what insurgents have always done. That does not mean they can't win.
>literally the only reason the region is not getting properly developed.
Insurgents doing as they have always done. Unless a government can counter such, it cannot win.
You know, charges of positive discrimination from a guy saying k*rds tends to leave one a bit skeptical.
Unless you can demonstrate to me concerted effort into a general program of counter-insurgency, the numbers remain suspect.

forgot armenia and azerbaijan
well the counter-insurgency is very effective lately (because there IS some counter-insurgency after 15 fucking years for gods sake) thats why the participation of k*rds to PKK dropped so dramatically.
I should say there is. But given that it's been 15 years, it's efficacy is questionable, innit?
And why is it very effective lately? What policies have been put in place that were not in place in 2016?
>invades georgia and ukraine
neither is true. georgia decided to chimp out and was defeated.
euobserver.com
about ukraine. russian troops never even left crimea since 1991, they were always there. even the ukrainian government does not deny it. technically russia never invaded ukraine as well
well in 2015 they started anti-terror operations in SE major cities and then onwards. they literally destroyed some parts of the city. before 2015 they werent shooting a single bullet to PKK due to government not allowing. the participation numbers started to drop 2016 and continued in 2017.
HPD leader demirtaş called total rebellion against us but it failed, apparently people didnt want to rebel like that. all PKK fortifications etc. in cities are now destroyed. so our guys kind of cut the connection between cities and PKK. couple of members of HDP are also arrested, demirtaş and some other who were blatantly doing PKK propaganda. a major reason why the participation numbers starting from 2016 dropped dramatically.
is tunisia fighting over something? the last i heard somebody got overthrown and later isis killings at some beach resort
>they literally destroyed some parts of the city
Generally not good counter-insurgency. Unless done in tandem with literal ethnic cleansing, tends to increase rather than decrease recruitment.
>apparently people didnt want to rebel like that
They rarely do. Bit of a tet moment there, innit? Didn't stop North Vietnam, tho.
Buddy arresting HDP members was what I was getting at regarding denial of electoral participation to the militant sections of the kurds. That's a thing that drives recruitment.
Seriously man, what's wrong with the explanation that recruited kurds are instead heading south? the YPG/SDF are on major offensives around the euphrates and are involved in skirmishes with northern rebels, that's where kurdish manpower is needed most.
The biggest conflict in the country is about whether we should eat spaghetti with tomato sauce or with olive oil.
>mexico is at war

in the last 117 years there were only 30 were the US was at peace
