That if we don't allow farmers to work Mexicans for sixteen hours a day at $4/hr picking crops and instead force them to pay the amount that it would take to get an American to do that work under American labor laws, no food will be grown.

The edit points out that this is essentially a defense of exploitation.

Yay for explotation, at least all blacks had works back then.

That people only want Mexican illegals to enter the US in order to exploit them for cheap labour and, therefore, to have cheap produce. It's comparing it to slavery.

Actually Mexico is somehow closer to slavery with a minimum wage of 4 dollars per day.

Democrat here. This is great.

It's pointing out how slavery is a platform of the DNC again

If Mexico is so great, how come so many people are trying to flee it?

I'm confused

Is the artist trying to say slavery is good and Lincoln was wrong?

It's pretty much the platform of this entire country. There is no way exploitation would be much reduced under Republicans. Both are bad.

...

He's saying that the people defending illegal immigrants are wrong, just as the people who defended slavery were wrong.

>football
>not pro wrestling.

What was wrong with slavery? Someone had to pick that cotton.

At the time it wasn't really that bad. It was a common practice in the world and the slaves still led better lives than dying of hunger in the Sahara.

Obviously there are better ways now but historically it's not the worst thing ever.

They were bought as slaves, not enslaved, actually.
