>he doesn't speak japanese

pathetic

>he speaks Japanese
hahahahahahahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

...

webms from the blu ray when?

stay mad. enjoy your no subs.

Subs my dude?

Just use the subs from the cam

Can't wait to watch this movie properly, no screenings in my country and fuck going all the way to Scotland to see at a convention.

is MEGAnon or someone gonna do like a 4k Blu-Ray capture like how TeamDDR/KATZeus does it on extratorrent.cc and shit?

Soon m8.

cam is 90 minutes instead of the full 120 minutes. And it has screwed up location/name subtitles, which our based subAnons are working to fix up (pic is from them)

Why is no one outside of Japan releasing it as a bluray?

subanon, gimme a sitrep

Funimation is lazy

>37 GB

I thought Mega's daily download limit was 5 GB? I've hit it before downloading porn.

they said Saturday night at the earliest, maybe Sunday afternoon

There's a torrent with the same file

Just use megadownloader or megatools

you probably learned japanese so you could watch your girl cartoons and fap to them

But subs are already out..?

That's the edited version

I'm too tired for this. See you guys tomorrow love ya based Meganon

So it sounds like the guys working on the subtitles are syncing it to the WEB-DL. What's the likelihood that the subtitles will sync up properly with the giant blu-ray rip?

more info please?

They're the same length.

you say that, like its a bad thing.

Understatement of the year.

Where's the link to the webrip?

Last time I was this excited for anything was probably right before going to see Jurassic World (having waited a decade and a half does that). Good luck, sub bros.

It's on nyaa.

It was posted in the OP

Be very careful about how you post about this
if they find out he will sell you out no problem to save his ass

hes done it on /toy/ and /m/ before

what are you even talking about

Does anybody have any good videos/articles that explain the parallels to the Fukushima disaster in this or footage from the disaster that matches shots from the movie?

I remember seeing a compilation of footage or a list of videos somebody put together to mirror stuff from the movie but I lost it.

wat

FUCKING JAPS

ENGLISH IS A BETTER LANGUAGE

>start mega download
>ETA: 6 hrs
fuuuuug
I guess it doesnt matter without eng subs though. Did the blu-ray not come with eng subs?

Nope. Because Toho hates us.

Are you suggesting that Toho has some kind of death squad that they'll send after Hiro because we're talking about their stuff?

Should I even bother getting my hopes up at the subanon project? Can they even pull it off? There's been barely any communication from them.

>Godzilla was born out of waste dumped from nuclear reactors off in the shore of Japan
>Japan's reluctance to get foreign help ASAP when they needed it
>Godzilla rampaging through 90% of Tokyo region, the precursor to the Fukushima disaster was the Tohoku earthquake which killed more people than the radioactive fallout

I'm pretty sure there are much more so just wait for an user to come by.

Really enjoyed the movie though. I thought Anno wouldn't be able to do a good job but he exceeded my expectations. I really liked how they tried to be as scientifically accurate as possible and they used that aspect of the film to become the main plot driver. Also, no forced romance subplot really made the movie better.

Believe in them. They can do this.

Because captioning is time consuming and he said he wouldn't have it finished till "this weekend".

Give it to Monday. If you still haven't heard word by Monday night, then you can stop making threads.

>implying you have anything better to do

Have they shown anything so far that indicates that actually can do this?

...

The bit where they go to the disaster sight to see the devestation was obviously a reference. Also I think the PM'd obsession with getting his work uniform on when responding to the disaster is inspired by the behaviour of real life politicians

Toho doesn't fuck around, user.

Shin.Godzilla.2016.1080p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264

>webdl
loling at your life user

There's barely a difference in visual quality. I'm a qualitywhoere and while i'm gonna keep the 36gb BD file, the difference in quality really doesn't really warrent the extra 32 gb

1/2, the BD

2/2, the webrip

not worth bluray at all

Honestly, even on my 60 inch display, the web-dl is good enough to watch. I've never sat there watching an untouched web-dl and thought "ugh I need to wait for the Bluray"

I've actually found that the best bang for the buck are 720p Bluray rips from private tracker internal encoders. Great quality and not very big.

why does the webrip have a few pixels cropped off from every side?

>what is bitrate
How do the action scenes look. Also you need a good display to really see the difference.

We're still going. Have patience famalam.
I've posted some screencaps though.

>mega just started to download shit again after delaying me for 7 hours
>6 minutes later and it's giving me another 7 hour delay

please somebody upload the disc 2 extras to a torrent

How confident are you that you guys can actually do this? I remember last night early on one of the subanons ran into a line in the cam rip that could not be read. Did that get solved?

bump

subs when

Close face shots always look good. Scenes where more is going on/action scenes it's very noticeable, especially in black areas as those are harder to compress.

alernatively, spoonfeed me how I use megadownloader and the other thing and where I should wonload them from to bypass this

Yeah, we sorted that out.
AT WORST, there'll be like 2 lines missing. But we'll probably sort that out, don't worry. Everything is going fine.

Man you guys are the real deal.

I love Godzilla.

Think you can throw us some sort of ballpark % or eta? Just to help quell all the "subs when?" shit.

Wow, how did you figure out that line? I seriously could not get it.

seconding this question

Much love to you folks. You're doing some good goddamn work wherever you may be.

We went with "Fireboats and helicopters are mobilized in Tokyo Bay,"
Still not 100% sure, but it seems likely. I'm contacting some people to get another cam-rip, so fingers crossed.

> godzzila
> subs
Wow... what a big dinno.. rets kill him... no-no rets freeze him ... rets nuke him later

While the beautiful Anonsubs work their magic, could we get some people to work on compressing the Blu-Ray to a smaller size for the sake of convenience in mobile devices? (Laptops and notebooks, not smartphones of course.)

I'm going to bring a high quality cam to the kimi no na wa theater release so we don't have to do struggle with this shit again.

I just finished that monster 36GB torrent but it had no subs.
Am I supposed to download another version that has subs or is there a way for me to just put subs on the version I already downloaded ?
I'm really new to using torrents and I need some help.

>crashing thread for free shit
>not sticking around long enough to read the thread

Ungrateful.

I'm doing that right now. I'm anticipating to getting it to about a 10.4 Mb/s bit rate at 1080p without any loss of quality.

Why not just use the webrip?

Example:

Source

Wait for the srt file (subtitles), it is a small file, so dont worry. You can "insert" it into any version of the film. Just load the subtitles using your video player.

Encode

This thing compresses remarkably well. I'm still tweaking it though. Original bit rate is 37.5 Mb/s, encode will be somewhere between 10 Mb/s - 11 Mb/s.

Thanks, that helps a lot.

Meant for

Backups in varying sizes are always greatly appreciated. Plus, with subs being made, I reckon progress on compressed links would help keep these threads healthy until said subs have been fully written.

...

Moar

source

compressed

How about a fast/high action scene?

ballpark-wise, how large do you think the completed file will be?

source

compressed

s

e

Mind you, going for absolute transparency in scenes like these is just bloat since you can't see the difference at all in action. I'm satisfied with it.

Not compression guy but given the bit rates here I'd guess ~13gb.

Compression guy here. Did the math based on the size of the test encodes, the number of frames total, and the number of test frames, and I think it'll be between 10-11GB total if you include all the audio that comes with the source.

Thanks user

Okay, around half or more of the film is subtitled. The other user is working on the location/titles things.
I'm going to bed now, will keep going tomorrow.
