>Danicles got a charter ride with Premium
apnews.com/86876f5419194a93a7440ba0740cc193

Hope they weren't planning on keeping those TBR cars they bought.

Well fuck I was really hoping she would have to qualify because you know she would fuck up

>can't afford to spend money on aero development or engine development
>but can afford to pay Penske to run two completely unsponsored prototypes with star drivers in IMSA
You are truly IndyCar's greatest ally Honda America. I don't even know how GM is putting up with this shit, I guess it's because HPD are such fuck ups Chevrolet still wins the championship every year somehow.

Only one is running the full season

both acura DPi cars are running the entire season.

Indycar simply isn't that appealing to manufacturers these days. The prestige simply isn't there anymore and there's little translation from indycar to a manufacturer's road cars. Ford has outright said they're not interested in indycar at all for precisely that reason. I'm 100% confident that these FCA/alfa romeo indycar rumors are just bluffs from the italians because they're unhappy with being beaten by the mercs over and over.

based autistic op

>they're unhappy with being beaten by the mercs over and over.
Can't imagine why.

>I was really hoping she would have to qualify
Those backmarker teams with charters can't resist that GoDaddy cash. I wonder how much it cost to buy her a ride.

This will be the only race in her career that she's matched to the shitbox car she deserves.

Anyone have that graphical entry list for the 24 hour race?

>tfw no more "hi to my family at home" after the Daytona 24

spotterguides.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/SG_18_DAY_v1.pdf
This one?

spotterguides.com/portfolio/18_imsa/

should be updated this thursday with the RLL BMW livery and any extra drivers

Qualifying is only 15 minutes for each class?
How do they expect to get clean laps in?

RCR running only 2 cup cars next season

Literally what is this thread

Can you read?

>comfy night racing soon

BASED

>all the well-known names are retiring and being replaced by charisma vacuums
>ratings going down by the minute
>fucking affirmative action
>season realignment that only favors the crappiest tracks

NASCAR is dying, isn't it?

bumpin

Jonesing for my sports car racing fix, let's do this boys!

Who's ready for that Taylor Bros Rivalry ^TM to get started?

Will Joest finally redeem Mazda, or will the nips be their undoing?

Will Scott Pruett say bye to his family at home and Earnhardt himself on the final lap?

So many questions, lads.

Yep

youtube.com/watch?v=UxqJNcoO42k

>How do they expect to get clean laps in?
Quickly.

>NASCAR is dying, isn't it?
Pretty much, but it's not just NASCAR, it's motorsport in general.

The "car culture" that fueled racing here in the states is pretty much gone, and a lot of kids today don't even bother getting a drivers license anymore. I don't think racing will ever completely die, but it may be reduced back to the low budget local and regional series where it got its start, which, honestly, wouldn't really be a bad thing.

>Who's ready for that Taylor Bros Rivalry
I want to see Taylor cuck Albequerge again....just for the lulz.

/our team/

Not gonna watch the 24h of Daytona.
Sorry guys.

Albequerque turned in on him. 100% his own faggot fault.

But yes, I would love to see Ricky do it to him again in the Acura. AXR is cancer.

>Not watching the 24 Hours

Too busy prepping Jamal and babysitting your wife's son?

Racing is haram.

mlyp

Absolutely right.

When travel by horse was replaced with travel by car, car racing replaced horse racing.

Now that travel by car is being replaced by virtual travel by communication, car racing is dying the same slow death.

>tfw daytona starts early morning and can watch 18hours worth but miss the end because I have to go to work

Somebody will upload the race on jootube, so you'll be good.

not the same when it isnt live though.

Will there be a few streams available for the Daytona 24hrs?
I have a stronger desire than normal to catch it due to the off season being particularly dicks.

How competitive are LMP2s and DPis with each other?

imsa.tv with a proxy or the inevitable youtube restreams of that

They're BOP'd to be similar performance.
DPi effectively is LMP2 Works teams.

ROSSI
Thanks.

>also a motogp test on sunday

neat

wrc tomorrow

get the imsa app and stick an earbud in if you can. Watching is better, but Hindy calling the end of the race for your work day soundtrack isn't too bad.

My apologies. What I was getting at is I'll have to go to bed and I'll be waking up for work just as it finishes. So I'll miss the memes unless I go for 24 which I only usually do for lemons.

Thanks anyway yankee

is it IndyCar season yet

#RossiPosse

Nah don't feel like it dbh.

And are you guys ready for another season of Reawinslol?
First world superbike test of 2018, look who's in front.

That blue reminds me of the Gauloises colors

imsa is a joke anyway

wow put lowes on the tech3 2bh

Current Bathurst entry list:

bathurst12hour.com.au/news/2018-b12hr-grid-cars/

>no Maro Engel whining
>no Nismo kamikaze driver Katsumasa Chiyo
>SvG back in a McLaren with based Craig Lowndes

I was hoping Engel would be driving again this year so SvG could put him into the wall for the lulz...

Nascar needs Chase Elliott to win.

The biggest problem nascar has had is their most popular driver (Dale Jr) wasn't even a top 10 driver the last 10 years while their best driver wasn't even the top 5 most popular.

Let's be real though, nascar is a cheaters sport. The best car wins more races than the best driver.

>Dale Jr wasn't even a top 10 driver the last 10 years
Third highest average finish in 2012, tied for second most top 10s in 2013, again third for average finish in 2014, third most top 5s in 2015.
He probably had the highest average finish over all those four years too. You're delusional.

And he won 9 races over 10 years. Kasey Kahne has been better.

He also won 7 of those over two years where Kahne had 1.

>The best car wins more races than the best driver.
Welcome to motorports.

Kahne isn't a top 10 driver.
Those two seasons you listed Dale Jr wasn't even in the top 3 in wins and he finished 8th and 12th in the points both of those years.

The most popular driver was nowhere close to being it's best. To put all of this in perspective, since Dale Jrs rookie year, 15 drivers have won more races.

A Honda almost beat the one fucking Aprilia, I'm in.

And Kyle Busch, who has the personality of a 2x4, wins half the races in all series

>Brad K calling out Brian France
I hope this is just the beginning. Drivers need to call shit like they see it and not be afraid of getting fined.

Harvick didn't directly call France out but he said that NASCAR needs to start changing schedules to create interest instead of forcing drama and doing things fans and teams would like, like "Wild Card" races to tracks not on the calendar every year (He gave the example of running Iowa as a "Wild Card") because they can make a race special like only doing the Charlotte Roval every so often instead of every year.

Kryle's way more entertaining ever since he's really embraced being the "Black Hat" because now people are watching just to see his ass beat and the meltdown afterwards like throwing a punch at Logano or the whole shitfest when he lost Charlotte to Austin Dillon. Blaney knew immediately he was starting shit on purpose when Kryle was talking shit about NASCAR promoting the young drivers but Bubba fell for it immediately.

Anybody that gives a shit about anything other than what happens on the track during a race is a childish fanboi, and pure cancer.

>starcom has the #27 charter
Didn't expect this

fuck nascar

Now, now, Carl Edwards...

Nobody actually likes Kyle Busch.

Fun fact, I wrongfully arrested once by the same cop that let Kyle off with a ticket for going 115mph in a 45mph zone.

Not going to go into details of what happened but my charges were dropped due to misconduct by the officer.

t. kryle

really liking the way Rossi and RHR liveries look on the new aero

Haha, what the fuck?

did you get a little extra with the pat-down service?

Lot's of photos from testing up on Indycar's website, before I post the best ones to my eyes, I have to ask:
Is Zach Veach /ourmidget/?

Carlin has only one of its cars prepped, this is it.

Good pic of RHR's car.
The car is very photogenic at particular angles, others... not so much.

Robert Wicken's #7 SPM car is now prepped.
A shame to see Mikhail go, but he has his gig with the SMP Prototype program.

Carlin

Juan is going to dominate at Daytona. And then he'll go back to playing with toy planes in South America.

is that kimball or chilton?

>Yasuaki “Bob” Suzuki, the owner and director of BMW Team Studie, has confirmed that the team will no longer participate in the Autobacs Super GT Series – but has left the door open for a return to the series by 2020.

>QUITTING SUPER GT TO RACE IN FUCKING BLANCPAIN ASIA

FUCK YOU RATEL REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Chaves is /mymidget/

you mean Miami?

It's because BMW won't give them money to race in Japan but will to race in China

RHR.
Particularly good angle.

Another of the Carlin car.
I know they've both tested.
Might have been Chilton, the #59 is Chilton's car.

Graham Rahal's test livery.
Have one of Sato's RLL car too.

Much better than the fluorescent yellow menards shit, too bad it'll only be at 6 races.

That livery is definitely one of my favorites so far

Zach Veach's Andretti Autosport #26.
The midgetmobile.

Marco Andretti's bare naked Dallara.

Bourdais' car in the nude.

Sato's test car and livery.
Didn't have a good pic.

I would think this was a shitty looking car at the local amateur races let alone IndyCar

Can't win em' all.

What should be expected of the BMW race on Friday?

CTSC? Good things

the what

Another of Rahal.

I like the idea but I'm not sure about the execution
>sticking the number in the most obscured place possible

Yeah, the number locations are mandated by Indycar, that's their blunder.
The numbers on the Road and Street course rear wing is 6 inches, while the Oval Rear wing number is a paltry 3.5 inches.
The number on the nose is 9 inches.

Most of them have it on the top rear corner, not shoved right up against the tire where you can only see it from a 90deg angle
