Honest question: who gives a shit?

the BBC and their sycophantic bullshit every year ruined it

>muh clishe
>muh some goal for Hereford 20 years ago
>muh let's go to the middle of nowhere to cover a conference team vs Ipswich because cup upset lol

>highest attended domestic cup competition in the world by a country mile
>pretty much every club in the country has their highest ever attendance at an fa cup game

Arsenal and liverpool fans

why don't they let Cup winners into the Champions League? I mean making the Cup Winners Cup must've been cool 30 years ago but what's the point of this tournament now?

sounds like a standard presentation you child fucking waffle

All cup winners in Europe qualify for the Europa League.

no one cares about the Europa League

better than the CL and Barca/Madrid Wins Lol

Sevilla win lol

The real fans (locals) that attend games

>plastic bandwagoner yank doesn't like domestic cup that is steeped in history
woah

shit trophy really
only tinpot clubs care

The FA Cup does matter. Nobody can realistically expect to win the Premier League other than Manchester United, Manchester City, or Chelsea. But the FA Cup is something that any of the 5 richest PL clubs has a good chance of winning, and that the 6th-10th richest (Spurs, Everton, West Ham, etc.) can at least dream of winning. The FA Cup is to the PL title as the Europa League is to the Champions League. The fans of the very biggest clubs laugh at it, but for everyone else it means something.

>not believing in the magic of the cup

What does everyone think about the team finishing 4th playing off against the FA Cup winners for the last champions league spot?

it was great, until the formation of the premier league and champions league led to a top-heavy division dominated by the same few teams for three decades, whilst allowing them to spunk so much money on players that even their reserves are capable of winning 6-0 away to a second or third-tier team

now it's mostly a case of wondering if it will be chelsea, arsenal or man united this year

having said that, it's been refreshing to see portsmouth and wigan win it in the last ten years, and man city's win in 2011 for being their first trophy for nearly forty years

the same is pretty much true of the league cup

it's Arsenal's year la

i think you suck dick

As late as the 80s, there was nothing like it. These days, crap.
