Can we make a definitive list of only the best fighting movies. Rules: All non-weaponed fighting styles allowed. Must be somewhat realistic so Blood and Bone or Disputed are not allowed. Bonus points for Boxing and MMA
Also only the best. So don't name all you know but only the kinoest. Preferably no depressing shit a la Rocky 1.
I start: Warrior Never Back Down Rocky 3-4 Kickboxer (Better than Bloodsport)
all the mma ones have been garbage. and how the hell is rocky 1 more depressing than 4? his friend was literally beat to death. in 1 he found his soul mate and lost a close decision to a world champ when everyone considered him a bum before.
Jose Powell
On the Waterfront (1954)
Gabriel Green
Rocky 1 isn't a fighting movie anyway, so it doesn't apply
Julian Mitchell
>kinos >non-weaponed Is everyone on the board 13?
Luke Gutierrez
The Jet Li version of Fist of Legend. Skates the line perfectly between brutal realism and over the top kung fu bullshit nonsense. youtube.com/watch?v=l-SzTpMybo0
Also, Never Back Down is aids.
Lucas Lopez
I remember the love interest in Never Back Down being hot as fuck, and that scene where the little brother is a cockblock and then when he leaves, the girl mounts the fighter guy or something.
Haven't seen it since it came out.
Aaron Scott
It was Amber Heard's breakthrough movie
Gay weakling beta cuck nofun detected
Hudson Lopez
wtf it was Amber Heard?
Luis Gutierrez
Nah you just have shit taste.
Angel Cooper
She had such a perfect Girl Next Door look in that movie. Elon Musk is lucky, so long as she doesn't go mental on him.
Eli Brooks
Yeah Fugg I'm getting old
Sorry you had no friends in high school and overcompensate by being a pretentous hypercritical film cunnysseur
Cameron Gomez
>Elon Musk is lucky, so long as she doesn't go mental on him.
>Elon Musk is lucky, so long as she doesn't go mental on him.
hahahaha
"good luck, bro" is all i can say to that shit
Brayden James
Undisputed 4
Ayden Long
Why do redditors always use the word kino? Kino is such a Reddit word. You immediately know someone is a redditor as soon as they say kino.
Jordan Torres
Warrior was fucking bad cliched hackneyed shit
Jayden Gonzalez
the great white hope is kino
not a troll, it's actually a really good movie
Gavin Moore
Hello newfham
Landon Brown
you said kino. go back to le leddit.
er, i'll join you in a second
Jackson Turner
Warrior was actually great.
>cliched
And? It never set out to reinvent the wheel. And if you saw the end of that film and felt nothing as a man then you are in dire need of test supplements.
Juan Barnes
TODAY YOU WERE FAR AWAY
Jack Rogers
The ending was the most predictable possible thing. Like 15 minutes in it was completely apparent what would happen. I felt for Tom Hardy's whole deal but Joel Edgerton's muh family thing was just like saccharine and melodramatic. There were a couple of good fight scenes but the overall story just dragged it the hell down. If they had removed Edgerton and the entire brothers storyline and the movie had just been Tom Hardy fighting to get the money for his buddy's widow I would have been sold. I also just don't like Joel Edgerton as an actor though so I'll admit I'm pretty biased on this shit.
Parker Wright
Totally spotted the redditor
Asher Evans
>It never set out to reinvent the wheel. This. Im pretty it was made just to put the cliche boxing/sports story to MMA.
Brandon Hernandez
Edgerton was surprisingly good in the film. His performance was grounded and felt somewhat real (given the "Hollywood" treatment of the narrative to begin with) and held its own fine against both Hardy's and Nolte's performances. He wasn't a noticeable weak link at all in the film.
You are just being a stick in the mud right now, laddie.
Henry Collins
I'm just giving my honest opinion in a thread talking about fighting movies. I don't like Edgerton and I didn't like Warrior and I don't think it should be considered the best of anything.
Evan Brooks
>Must be somewhat realistic so Blood and Bone or Disputed are not allowed. lol fuck your bullshit
Adrian Barnes
>and I don't think it should be considered the best of anything.
Remember where you are. "The best" could simply mean the most kino. Not necessarily the most critically laudable.
Isaac Cruz
>"The best" could simply mean the most kino. Not necessarily the most critically laudable.
Matthew Martinez
anderson silva got me into watchin ufc
if they ever make a nigger terminator i hope they choose him and just have him melee all movie
It's fine to give your honest opinion your opinion is just shit. The Koba fight was the only scene ever put to film where you get thrilled for the fight. The music work and directing in this is severely underrated because of flaws in the writing
Bentley Butler
that's the only fight scene in any movie you've ever been thrilled by?
Jason Lewis
Yes
Nolan Johnson
I remember watching him back in the late 2000's at Buffalo Wild Wings, back when you could go there on a major UFC PPV fight night with like 10 of your friends and half the tables would be empty. UFC watching will never again be that comfy.
Grayson Morgan
ok it just bugged me more than anything edgerton got more or less beat to death and then pulled a win out of his ass because of determination and family and shit it was less believable than rocky iv
Angel Allen
Yeah I struggle to think of another fighter with that level of skill. In his prime totally unpredictable, yet completely measured. Shame he flew too close to the sun, got cocky and used old tricks on people who knew what he was up to.
Henry Carter
>pulled a win out of his ass Wat? He tried like 5 throws Koba all blocked. It's not unrealistic that a smaller fighter can beat a bigger one in ground fight. And yes that his determination means he would take a beating without giving up. What's wrong with that?
Isaac Gomez
great noir kino.
Luis Foster
i haven't seen the movie in like 5 years but i pretty distinctly remember thinking that any human being would have to be carted out of the ring if they got beat like he did no matter how much he loved his family anyway whatever i think it's a bad movie you don't i'm not trying to argue about this all night
Xavier Miller

Michael Murphy
Some men are cool with sloppy seconds.
Ayden Harris
kino
Aiden Brown
The beating he took in the first round should have left him unconscious. He gets picked up and slammed into the ground multiple times, then repeatedly punched in the head for another minute. I know it's just a movie, but there's no way he'd be hopping around doing just fine after that.
Ryan Perry
Never Back Down is the best movie ever made
Logan King
Here Comes the Boom inspired me to get a gym pass and get /fit/
