sell me on this film

>tfw they will never release the rest of the series

it's wacky and zany and has a dog-caterpillar.

...

Is the "electrician/part time adventurer" (can't remember his name) a original character or a cameo from some other movie?

>Is the "electrician/part time adventurer" (can't remember his name) a original character or a cameo from some other movie?

House II was really fun, but the whole movie seemed like a pilot for a TV series they never wound up making.

Original. He was an interesting character, so he should be in other movies.

I love both films, but Dead Snow 2 was fucking insane.

House
>Fun horror/comedy from an underrated director (Steve Minor) with lots of practical effects and good acting. Parts of the plot make no sense, but who cares. Shotgun-wielding bat-skeleton inside a mirror!

House II
>Extremely spontaneous and feels like a bunch of vignettes strung together rather than a real movie, but it never gets boring and is loaded with effects of all kinds. Characters are colorful and memorable, like a cartoon. Also, Bill Maher is in it for some reason.

House III/The Horror Show
>Absolutely awful; wasn't even supposed to be a House sequel and got rebranded as such for later releases. It's basically Shocker but not as good (and Shocker wasn't very good to begin with).

House IV
>A direct plot sequel to the first House that nobody wanted. Feels like the storylinking elements were added at the last minute and they feel pointless because the House series is supposed to be an anthology.

The Burbs
Waxwork
Cemetery man
Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat

Wish there were more good horror comedies

Dead Snow 2 is an absolute horror comedy kino
>CPR on a kid scene

horror comedy is the worst genre, my man
they shouldn't even be called horror's

what would you call them then?

shit

I knew you were going to say that... and that isn't even a genre. What would you actually call them, genre wise?

Sleep away camp 2

just comedies
and that's pushing it, as well

Watched Terrorvision a couple nights ago.
Damn thing felt like a fever dream.
Still fun, though.

>tfw when you're a kid in the 80s and go to the video store with all the VHS covers filled with styrofoam along the walls and weird horror movies like this one that you're parents wouldn't let you rent so instead you get The Neverending Story or something

Texas Chainsaw 2 is better than the first one

This is Raimi's best work since Army of Darkness

Starts off as a horror movie, but quickly becomes a Western, kind of like Army of Darkness but with cowboys instead of knights

In part 1, that blonde chick also has a god-tier set of ass and legs.

>horror
>comedies

they have, the series got a release in february.
and criterion? christ, I didn't realise it was that loved.

isn't bull from night court in this

Yeah, Arrow released it but I read there were problems with the discs, with the image being off-centered and edges of the sets and stagehands being visible.

...

dumb frogposter

Club Dread should rank among the best

>Cemetery man

So damn good.
Dellamorte's monologues are the best.

Bill Maher was also in a pretty cool, short-lived comedy show called "Hard Knocks" back in the 80s.

Bull is in the first House film' as is Norm from Cheers. Cliff from Cheers is in the second film.
This guy.

anyone know a good modern horror for me to watch tonight? no jump scares just good ol horror.

slammin salmon is 100 times better
club dread is their worst

Fuck off, you Redddit tier phony faggotroon

The void is a good B grade lovecraftian horror.
The wailing is a really good if you're ok with subtitles.
The autopsy of jane doe is a pretty mystery horror, but there are quite a few jump scares.
The witch is supposedly good, but I didn't think much of it.
The green room is a very good 'hostage' horror film, but a lot of people wouldn't really call it a horror film.
Wyrmwood is a pretty fun combo of zombie films and mad max.
Bone tomahawk is a pretty bizarre and dark western/horror, but some might find the start pretty boring.
Occulus is a very good B ghost film.

Definitely avoid southbound, scouts guide to zombie something and willow creek. All of those are fucking shit.

Cute!

Incest is bad.

...

thanks for all these suggestions!
great contribution

the cover is already bad like amateur or fanmade

...

It's from that David Wong faggot SJW weaboo from Cracked dot com. It's horrible.

Dead Snow 2 is one of THE BEST zomcoms ever.
The first one was good, number 2 was incredible.
Over the top, silly, and fucking funny.
The ONLY thing I didn't like about it was the Americans, but even that's a minor gripe.

THE BEST zomcom in history.
Scrap that, one of the best comedy movies full-stop.

I'm gonna go with My Name Is Bruce.
Never even heard of it till I watched it.
Bruce Campbell plays himself.
He thinks he's filming a new film, but he's not.
It's just straight up silly, but it's Bruce Campbell so that automatically makes it fucking awesome.

More of an adventure movie, but fun nonetheless. Shame he died so we'll never get a sequel. We never would have gotten a sequel anyway.

Halloween (1978)

Just look at Michael here.

it's pretty well known among campbell fans and is pretty much seen as one of his best performances
if you're unfamiliar with his stuff other than evil dead and army of darkness i'd recommend bubba ho-tep, jack of all trades, maniac cop, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. and the man with the screaming brain
with an honorable mention of his performances in Xena

and if you're ok with audio books "how to make love the bruce campbell" way is gold

House I & II are tip top kino. Also, this

it was also directed by bruce campbell

Leprechaun II is the only genuinely good entry in the whole series, yet I've never met a single person who liked it.

It was amazing how better Dead Snow 2 was than the first one.

let me guess, there was a cuck sub-plot in the first movie?

>that Star Wars girl
>that gay character

Yeah no, the first Dead Snow is better.

Agreed.

I think this is funny, well mostly just Billy Zane

I loved the butcher shop scene.

"ding dong you're dead."
I saw this as a kid but no recollection of what it was about. Another older horror that I remember is "the portal" or "the gate". Kids somehow summon these tiny troll clay golem things and they pour out a whole and terrorize the town or something.

is this a jojo reference?

not bad

How come Treat Williams' comedy-horrors are so comfy, bros?

Jojo?
And no that was the tagline to the movie House. Pretty sure it was.

The toilet scene. The semi digested man scene. The leather jacket through the thick of it all. Awesome.

...

Super underrated.

I wonder if they get to make the prequel

A sequel was in the works months ago.

>Dellamorte's monologues are the best.

They sound good in the movie, but reading them makes them sound like something a 13 year old emo posted on them MySpace.

>Death, death, death comes sweeping down, filthy death the leering clown, death on wings, death by surprise, failing evil from worldly eyes, death that spawns as life succumbs, while death and love, two kindred drums, beat the time till judgement day, an actor in a passion play, without beginning, without end, evermore, amen.
