La Guerre du feu
Idk if good but pretty prehistoric.
I have a soft spot for Quest for Fire. Yes, it's pretty dumb. But making Ron Perlman a caveman might have been the finest casting decision of the century.
I liked Clan of the Cave Bear. I can't vouch for it's accuracy or anything though.
Quest for Fire is awesome.
One Million Years BC is pure cavekino
>I liked Clan of the Cave Bear. I can't vouch for it's accuracy or anything though.
It's 100% accurate. I was there when it happened. Took a vid with my phone as proof but unfortunately it was stolen.
Was really looking for something more recent, both are from the 80's
The prologue of the second season of The Leftovers
Conan the Barbarian
Ben-hur
Gladiator
Kingdom of Heaven
Braveheart

I like you, user. We should hang out.
>It was a book
I know, I wrote the book. About the events, as experienced by me, your narrator.
>talking about caveman movies
>looking for something more recent
Are you worried it won't be modern enough?
"oh man, this caveman movie is so dated. Would you look at the size of that guy's phone?"
Ofelas (Pathfinder) (1987) *(sami hunter gatherer troop)
13th warrior *(Neanderthal on Proto Vikings action)
rome series 1&2
Apocalypto ( meso-american hunter gatherer troop)
vikings
Dances with Wolves
user, i guess when you ask about this topic your really asking for human hunter gather troops searching for food etc
Also - Monkey World series
>Paddy is Best Boy
2001
Not one of those is prehistoric.
those are historic, NOT prehistoric
Pretty much this, you will never get more than grunts. My only beef is there should have been a Raquel forced cave man sex scene.
>"prehistoric"
>it means "from olden times"
I'm 99% sure is joking, but might be for-serious.
>apocalypto
>mid 1400s
>prehistoric
>dances with wolves
>presumably mid to late 1700s
>prehistoric

If a thing happens, in a place, and nobody is there to write it down, then is it still a thing that happened?

At least the user understood it happened sometime after the beginning of recorded history. That alone gets you into the top 50% on this board.

Cloud Atlas
But the Maya did write down their history. Their writing dates to at least 200 BC.
I haven't seen it and I wasn't very far off, faggot
>pre-historic
>all 5 have agriculture, metallurgy
Quest For Fire
One Million Years BC (sort of)
Fire And Ice (sort of)
prehistory literally means "before writing" and has nothing to do with what you just said
>Earliest Writing tools 5,300 years ago
Get educated
what has that got to do with agriculture and metallurgy?
>But the Maya did write down their history.
Sorry, maybe I was being too subtle. Allow me to clarify:
THE user WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT "PREHISTORIC" MEANS IS A GODDAMN MORON.
>pre-historic
>all 5 have agriculture, metallurgy
Not to defend that guy, but those things do actually pre-date written history. Agriculture started about 100k years ago, and primitive metallurgy dates from about 5000 BC.
The beginning of recorded history differs a bit depending on who you ask, but writing wasn't invented until like 4000 BC and most of the early examples we tend to think of are from between 3000 BC and 2000 BC.
