Lexx is British "humor" so unless you like British skits a la Monty Python or Fawlty Towers it's unlikely you'll enjoy Lexx.
At any rate it's definitely not what OP asked for.
There just isn't that much OP. Space is too kino for plebs.

It's very meditative and info heavy, however the discussions and ruminations on war and political structure are very well done. There's contrarian opinions floating around here, but for the most part it's a great show. Few shortcomings.

yeah, some of the acting is absolute b-list awful, but that was the shows budget, it wasn't star trek or anything (ds9 reeeeeee)

The Problem in the end was money. It was already clear that it will be cancelled because for the studio a single episode was too expansive. And there the end was hamfisted.

This one right here OP. Flash Gordon is cheesy as hell but the ending is so satisfying. The fun characters really make this movie.
