Good

Great. I haven't even watched most of the movies they referenced. Easily the best movie of the trilogy.

HF > SotD >>> TWE

Yarp.

Best movie of the trilogy.

Still his best film, even though Baby Driver, which I just got back from, was excellent.

Skinner looks like Timothy Dalton

GREAT

Was sceptical to pick it up, turned out to be very comfy buddy cop flick thus depressing to watch alone

nobody died in the final shoot out

Nah
TWE>HF>SotD

The twist in this movie comes when you find out that the main character was played by Simon Pegg the entire time.

Yeah I was really hoping they would blast some old people at the end. Still a great movie though

It was a very smart comedy which I liked. I love how they were building up a legit plot but then it just turned out they wanted best village award.

Gags with good set up and pay off. Even the really dumb, obvious gags were still done in a way to not make them seem retardedly obvious Like the "you've got a mustache" scene. Plenty of foreshadowing that pays off nicely.

The bit where he slides the bike sideways towards the camera during one of his flashbacks gets me every fucking time. Sadly I can't find a gif of it.

Absolute shit and you assholes made me pass for a retard, it was airing on TV I told everyone it's a funny movie and during the whole thing I had to simulate embarassed laughter to not lose face.

Last time I watch anything from inbred island.

>I told everyone it's a funny movie
did you not watch it or are you actually a redditard?

Narp?

...

I watched it, it was unfunny, boring and poorly acted; and it seems to be a pretty reddit-core movie

FASCIST

Seeing the dead human statue is always good for a laugh.

kino

Using reddit as a criticism invalidates your argument.

Sorry. Close the tab.

>the greater good

It's fucking great and maybe one of the best spoof movies ever made.

ha ha ha

...

HAG.

it's in my top 5 and i've never heard anyone on teevee talk bad about it. how the fuck is your taste so bad? did you eat mercury?

extremely well crafted but ultimately very boring

What about that guy with the bear trap on his head?

it should be a bannable offense to call something boring on tv without articulating a reason why

if I ate mercury then you ate shitcurry

read the post I replied to, thanks in advance, don't hesitate to close that tab yourself by the way.

how the fuck would I now why? being bored is not something you decide to do by using reason

If I had to guess though then one of the reasons could have been that he follows a cliched template to a T when writing his screenplays. This can certainly make a film boring even if it's well-crafted. I have the same problem with all capeshit.

spaced > sotd > hf > twe > babyd > scottp

>if you wanna be a big cop in a small town fuck off up the model village

i think that is genuinley one of the best jokes in cinema

Shaun of the Dead was a horrible movie

It's got but it's no Bad Boys II or Point Break

This is an 18+ site, when's your birthday?

fuck a doodle do

>le ebin post ironic british phlegm zombie meme movie

>americans

I'm not

>people who act like americans

22nd of February

22nd of February.

yes that's british people including that red monkey that makes those movies Simon Pegg alright

Best of the bunch

If you enjoyed it check Our West Ladyton Branch, a radio play by Rd Wingfield from the 1960s.

>germans

10/10, this particularly bit had me laughing so hard I was in tears

Second place best comedy I've ever watched only surpassed by Life of Brian.

>The "Hero's Journey" is a cliche

I don't think you understand what "cliche" means

Saw it at the Cinema,
Avoided all trailers for it before hand,
Didn't know anything about it.
FUCKING LOVED IT.
If you weren't familar with his work the second half was a great fucking ride, when the penny drops and it was all just to get the best village aword.

The Detectives being total wankers was fantastic too. Fuck it im watching it again

Which year?

Every year

Every year.

No luck catching them killers then?

OUT.

Sotd was light years better than this

honestly I felt bored at times, also being a britbong the silly country accents don't do anything for me. We've already spent our entire lives poking fun at them so it's rather stale to say the least.

got a few laughs but it was just sub par

Fascist.

>Shaun of the Dead gets more depressing every viewing
>Hot Fuzz remains just as fun
>The World's End was meant to be depressing and uncomfortable

oh shit, wrong board :y

great

Nobody tells me nuthin'

In terms of the "Pegg/Frost vs. hoard of braindead" movies, I'll put this one right behind World's End, but still fantastic

Walked out of the theater when I saw it during my rebellious youth.

Today it's one of my all-time favorites.

You are right on this.

the thing is...

I never understood what people found so funny about it.

very comfy

>it's a quoting british """humour""" thread

the thing is these movies are considered unfunny trash in britain
you, the american, only find them funny because of the zany accents and lingo
spaced/shaun of dead/hot fuzz/worlds end are to britain what big mama's house is to america and viced-versa

Fpbp

Every single line of dialogue is either a joke, or set up for a joke, or set up for a joke WAY later in the movie.

Or a combination of the two. Like the lame 'Aaron A Aaronson' joke paying off at the end, when it turns out there actually is an Aaron A Aaronson.

you, sir, must be british.

I'm American and I don't find any of these movies entertaining. I don't get why people like them.

Hag.

Like Shaun of the dead, the best comedy moments are the little subtle things.

You're so wrong, it hurts.

You're just repeating dumb shit you've read on Sup Forums in the past.

As a British man, I can say without a doubt that the Cornetto films share the same amount of success here in the UK that it does in the States.

You are a liar and a bad one at that

lurk moar newfags

At world's end looked amazing and hilarious in the opening scene, but got more and more depressing with every scene. I never finished it and got just over 2/3 of the way through it before I just couldn't take the negative vibes.

Took you a while to post this pasta autist

It gets a lot more depressing at the end so you did the right wing

I always watch it.
