The end

Yes. Much appreciated.

Lemires usually pretty good. Looking forward to reading this later.

This looks cool? This actually worth reading?

how did she even try to shoplift cigarettes? don't they keep them in a cupboard directly behind the cashier in america?

I'm glad lemire is doing this and the new ogn next year drawn by him
I hope he leaves marvel and gets in his prime again

Looks good so far. Lemire said he's already finished 18 issues.

then why the hell is it a monthly? most people are gonna forget it even exists by the time #3 comes out

an artist can only draw so fast

>david rubin and matt kindt are doing an ongoing at dark horse soon
I hope they can keep up the momentum at dark horse

>a team book by lemire
>and it's good

It's not a superhero comic being written for the big two. Big difference. When editorial is on his back Lemire seems to really struggle or half ass things in order to meet deadlines. See: the majority of his Marvel and DC work

This was really good. I've missed good Lemire.

Thanks for storytime, user. I was confused as fuck until the last three pages, but this seems good enough. I love how Barbalien sounds a mix of Martian Manhuner and John Carter.

You should read Descender for more "good Lemire"

Great storytime OP

bretty gud

There's one page missing, user.

Wonder why Madame Dragonfly wasn't listed by Black Hammer's daughter...

So...

Abraham Slam = Superman
Golden Gail = some kind of Captain Marvel (Shazam) I'm guessing
Barbalien, the Warlord from Mars = a mix of Martian Manhunter (he's even called Mark Markz in his human form, nice homage), John Carter and the sword and sorcery heroes from 70s comics
Black Hammer = Thor? Luke Cage?
Anti-God = Anti-Monitor

He did good in The Valiant too.

I checked again and their was no page missing. For whatever reason the scanner must have mislabeled the images

Abraham Slam has no superpowers he's a pulp hero

Colonel Weird = Adam Strange

Not bad.

Poor dude.

I am very glad for this.

Talky-Walky got passed, too. Maybe it's because he's the Colonel's sidekick.

Saw this on the stand, passed it over, but I'll pick it up tomorrow.

Looks like he has super-strength there. Maybe he's like golden-era Atom?

Thanks for this story time!

Yeah, I realized but forgot to put that one

Thanks for the read. All the hints that Black Hammer was black went right over my head until the very end.

This was a rip not a scan, so if there was a problem it was with the ripper source or possibly the publisher.

bump for other folks

darkhorse

So just a heads to those that where curios about what the OP comment meant: the book was set to have started last year but the artist suffered a cerebral hemorrhage so Lemire decided to postpone the book until the artist got better so that the book could come out uninterrupted on a monthly schedule

This is great, Lemire back to his indy-quality

Also Dean Ormston's art is so nice, I've loved his stuff since Lucifer

this guy ate so much bacon that he turned into bacon....

Bunp

It's also supposed to be a miniseries.

Then has he really written 18 issues like
say if it's just a mini?

>say if it's just a mini?
It was originally solicited as such

bumping for bunps

Finally a good Lemire book.
