>tfw to smart to not know all the twitters.

Pretty much unbeatable right here.

Man, nobody watched this? That's just fucking sad.

Joe Dirt

Literally everything by Jeff Nichols is pure hick kino

Joe dirt is objectively a great comedy. Its aged like the finest wine money can buy, and I still quote it all the fucking time.

Sequel was the exact opposite.

I want to see it next week but Good Time and the Close Encounters re-release takes priority. I feel like this is an "eh, maybe" title for a lot of folks and that's why it bombed

trips of truth

came here to say joe dirt

I liked it a lot. It does a good job of showing that rednecks can be white trash like Joe's parents, but can also be good people with a different way of life like Joe. But most importantly, it was just funny.

Sad to say, but true enough. As someone who's watched it, I thought it was a damn solid movie, even if it was oddly . . . "quiet" at times. When you see it, you'll see what I mean.

Redneck as fuck. Donal Logue and Anthony Michael Hall are god-tier rednecks in this. Legit my favorite all-time movie.

Joe Dirt is like a slap to the face. It makes you realize there are enough people who enjoy this sort of comedy to make a motion picture. It's like Scary Movie, the realization that something so bad can generate income is a more notable experience than the movie itself.

Raising Arizona

ricky bobby

Second movie I've seen this year where John Denver is a critical part of the plot. Made me wonder how Rihanna feels about basically being called soulless garbage in comparison.

This movie carries a heavy vibe of honoring your family and your culture, no matter what that culture might be. There were a couple of scenes that really struck a deep chord with a hillbilly like me.

check'd

I'm looking forward to seeing it. Not a movie I would pay to see in theaters though. I usually only shell out for capeshit or space movies or le epic sci-fi. This looks really good, but looks like a movie I can happily watch at home.

I liked how her dad told her the story that goes along with it.

Killer Joe.

You're not wrong about that. This one's not about spectacle; it's all about story.

>Seth MacFarlane
dropped

Actually surprised a film about hillbillies was portrayed without ham-fisted stereotypes and bashing.

Adam Driver's character is fuckng great in this. People not familiar with the culture might take it to be a caricature, but it's dead-fucking-on.

Oh I agree. I've lived in the South (Georgia, North Carolina) for 15 years and they really nailed the attitude and look of what Southerners are. Even liked Daniel Craig in a non-serious role. He was fun as fuck as that explosives dude.

And I liked that in spite of sounding like a hick, Craig's character is shown to know precisely what the fuck he's doing. He was my second favorite behind Driver. I swear, he reminded me of people I actually know.

Craig should play more American comedic roles. This is the first time I've genuinely enjoyed seeing him in a movie.

you didn't like Layer Cake, or Casino Royale?

Layer Cake is great, but Lucky Logan was great because Craig was smiling and having fun. Lucky Logan was a feel-good heist which made it great.

Craig is great as Bond, but too much stiff upper lip at times.

Its was pretty good imo, anyone else get the feeling that channings character and the sister were banging? She was always at his house late at night

That's important. In many parts of the world people with an accent from the American South sound stupid to others. People from New York often think people with country or southern accents sound like pussies. It's good that they made the characters capable, knowledgeable people even though they "talk funny."

no, it wasn't. It was extremely overlong with a slow start and an extra 20 minutes of nothing after the climax.

oh look who it is

the guy who has yet to be proven wrong.
this was Oceans 12 tier

THIS

I don't really care for the Deep South, but I'm not going to treat them as if they're retards. Country doesn't mean stupid; something a lot of leftist friends love to equate. One of them actively wishes for them to all die off.

Fuck Drumpf and fuck white people.

Look everyone, somebody stayed home from school today.

I wonder how much did they get away with? It has to be at least in the hundreds of thousands. They were pretty smart to not get greedy and just stick with a slice of the pie instead of the whole thing.

I really liked this movie, at first I thought it was bashing red necks but as I got further in I realised this wasn't the case at all. Everyone in this movie feels so genuine and I think that's what makes this movie so endearing/ humourous. I'd liken it to an American The Castle.

it looks like shit

shit movie

use it to your advantage. I'd rather have people underestimate than overestimate me

Well I live in Louisiana so it's not an issue for me.

I do exactly the same thing. My granddad called it "Laying back in the tall grass."

I thought Hell or high water was really good. It definitely had a red neck vibe to It

Yes that movie is excellent. A Perfect World is also very good, but not really redneck kino. Specifically mid-century Texas kino, so I guess most of you fucks would classify that as redneck.

Delet this.
