KFP is honestly a mediocre film series. The only remotely passable thing they did? Lord Shen. Can't stand Po and his Gary Stu bullshit about "What are you going to do about it Mr. Villain? I will just chitty chat chat beat you anyway without breaking a sweat! Chit chat chitty chat chat!"

Will the Furious Five ever not be complete jobbers?

Nope

Crane soloed a gang of wolf fighters who all individually took out Po and the rest of the five

>KFP is honestly a mediocre film series
Stopped reading there

>Gary Stu
I was willing to hear your side of the story and then you decided to use buzzwords that you don't even now what they mean.
This however is a legitimate and the films largest complaint. Furious Five have been highly ignored and/or weakened to make way of Po's development.

The series would do well with tv series (yes I know it had one but I didn't like it much; maybe a new on Netflix since most of the Dreamwork Netflix shows are decent).

How do you all feel about erotic CYOA games?

Is Legends of Awesomeness worth watching? I really like this series' world and characters, and I don't mind lighthearted episodic stories with a villain of the week.

The third one was the worst. It had potential, but the villain lacked motivation and passion, and the conflict with the panda village felt like it was setting up for a resolution that would have been way more interesting than what we got.

please do

I made a list of watchable episodes a year or so back before it ended. Basically any episode that focuses on the five are worth watching.

Kung Fu Panda has some of Dreamworks' best music.

Sauce?

Wish he had been a better villain.

This guy is the Barneyfag of KFP, always appearing to say the same stupid shit.

>Kung Fu Pandas 1 & 2
>released during the summer months when people are actually watching movies
>Audiences anticipated KFP 3
>released in January when nobody would care

Is DreamWorks retarded?

KFP was a sub mediocre flick with a horrible moral at it's center.
I hate everything about it and the message that it will teach to any kid who'd watch it.

He was a fine villain, just underutilized due to poor writing

everytime he was on screen was great just because of his theme

Explain or provide sauce, Google finds nothing.

I'm working on a CYOA story.

> tfw you find out later Po actually fucking killed this guy in cold blood

So, how was the third one, Sup Forumsmrades?

I loved the first two, then the third one came out and people were mostly talking about it focusing a bit too much on the Panda comedy.

Is it a bad movie or is it simply not a great movie (has noticable flaws and all, but is still an enjoyable experience)?

it's the weakest of the franchise but isn't a bad movie

>KFP is honestly a mediocre film series. The only remotely passable thing they did? Lord Shen.

Shen was great and way above remotely passable.

I liked Chen. But I hate when a seemingly competent villain ignores the obvious rules of the Evil overlords list.

He 'sent him to the Spirit Realm'. Not quite the same thing.

How the fuck was that in cold blood? Tai Lung literally wanted to destroy the valley, and everyone in it. That's not even counting the things he did before he was imprisoned.

Explain further.

Nothing really worth explaining. Its a rather short CYOA with two paths for each of the girls on said title picture, Crane is either being a sub or doms.

I love the three of them but i don't understand why so many people here like this guy loves the second one so much. Is it because they want to fuck the bird?

I liked the second one best. 3rd was worst IMO if only because the 2nd was such a step up and the 3rd fell flat.

The contrast between the beautiful scenery and often excellent fights and the infuriating "modernisms", for lack of a better word, brings the whole thing down.

Viper is at perfect dick sucking height for Crane...

I didn't care for it. It was beautiful for the most part, and the music was, as usual, a crowning achivement in itself, but

>The climax absolutely pales in comparison to the second; like the first movie's climactic fight but worse and with less redeeming qualities
>Too much "modern" dialogue, silly awkward quotes and cliches that would make anyone who isn't 10 or younger scoff and shake their head
>Villain hyped up through Worf Effect but never *really* living up to it, especially when a bunch of Pandas beat him by being fat and stupid
>Poor humor all around

>mfw that fucking amazing music when Kai and Oogway fight
>mfw it isn't on the OST
FOR FUCKS SAKE ZIMMER WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING

I searched everywhere for it and listened to half the OST before I realized it wasn't there.

I fucking HATE it when they do that.

>Mfw I'll never have the slow violin version of "Valhalla Awaits" from Fury Road

Visually the most beautiful in the series by far, but overall not as good as the others. The "serious writing" about spirituality and Po's quest of self-discovery is done extremely well, this movie is a perfect ending to Po's character arc. Only problem is that this writing is often split up between many comedy scenes, which aren't as funny as the previous movies. Luckily the movie is paced pretty well, so the moment you get tired of wacky panda shenanigans, more often than not you get a really good character or plot moment right after.

And wiggling into that Tigress

The point when the whole Chi thing manifests into a dragon around him was awesome, but the moment he started in with the "chit chat" shit again it fell so fucking flat.

>The climax absolutely pales in comparison to the second; like the first movie's climactic fight but worse and with less redeeming qualities
I definitely get the complaints about the climax when Po goes super saiyan and wipes the floor with Kai instead of it being an actual fight and I'll always love more grounded kung fu action scenes, but in the context of the movie/plot/character growth I actually really like it. Po has finally fully discovered who he is, not just as a panda or as the dragon warrior, but everything. Everything comes full circle, from becoming a literal dragon warrior to all the nods to yin-yang and the circular motif of chi that's been throughout the entire series;
Well, that, and it's hard not to love that fucking amazing music.

What do people think of this series in China? I'm just curious.

apparently they actually like it

when it came out they opened up a committee asking why some shmucks from America made a cartoon more Chinese than the actual Chinese

I'm not kidding

Because China is now literally a bootlegged version of itself. You can literally obtain better Chinese culture by visiting Chinatown in NYC or San Fransisco.

That's sad.

Hey, they did it themselves. One of the few times you can't really blame the W-

Oh, yeah, the whole 'flood China with opium' thing. Whoops.

I imagine it had something to do with the Great Leap Forward and smashing anything that had to with pre-revolution China in the 60s and 70s.

Funny story, I remember asking my dad about all this and why anyone would take Mao's Little Red Book seriously when it came out, and he shrugged and admitted a couple of his socialist british friends had copies...

First two were great, Tai lung and Shen were great villains. The second one had the best action sequences, the third one was just a bunch of panda shenanigans.
