"I am Bane" arc

Is the whole Batfamily going to be involved in this arc or is it just the Robins?

Well, the solicit said that Bane is targeting Bruce's loved ones. So, I think it just the Robins.

Oh, thank God because I don't want the whole Batfamily to be involved and some fans said that they will be.

I'm really not looking forward to having Finch back on art...

King said that Jason, Dick, Damian and Duke will be involved and he didn't mention anyone else.

Then again he also said that the Bane arc will start in issue 17, but the Feb solicitions said it will start in issue 16. So who what the heck is going and what changes have been made.

Are you ready for Selina's death Sup Forums?

I think Bane will die and Batman will be the one who kills him.

Selina will appear in All Star Batman so I don't think King will kill her.

It's going to be Alfred

Better Finch than Janin.

I don't like Janin but his shit is much prettier than Finch's, and can actually be entertaining to look at.

Finch is the apex of boring art.

Both are shit.

#16 could be a prelude.

It's pretty obvious that Catwoman might die, since the following arc is called "I AM SUICIDE".

But then Batman getting suicidal over Selina's death is kinda odd.

I Am Suicide is the current arc.

Uh user, the current arc is called I AM SUICIDE and the one after is I AM BANE.

Well, my bad then.

>tfw no I AM AYE

I don't think King has the guts to do it.

Bane seems the likely choice unless the ASB arc with Catwoman is a flashback.

ffffffffffffucking Dyke, why the hell should he be here. Let him be in snyder's fucking run. He is not part of the family.

Does Snyder not want to use Bane for ASB? Seems strange he'd mis him out since ASB is all about writing villains he didn't do in his run

Snyder didn't say anything about Bane as far as I know. He is actually planning to do an arc with the joker soon.

>He is not part of the family.

He's one of the boys, now, and the major hotness now.

>Catwoman
>Alfred
>Bane
Did you even read the hints? It's going to be doctor Pavel, obviously.

Why Finsh's art is even considered bad? I'ts generic af, but still good and even great sometimes.
Janin is really good tho.

>He is not part of the family
He has been pushed is as part of Bruce's family since Rebirth started.

It's Alfred, Dick, Jason, Damian and Duke who are considered as Bruce's family now.

Well...better him than Harper, I suppose.

>Pavel
But he isn't a major character?

The duke shit is retarded.
But for now, I can just see him as temp Tim replacement. Soon as tim back duke needs to go.

That said, if duke is price we pay, to have harper continue to not really be a thing anymore i will take it

Yeah, Duke is the new poor kid that Bruce has been trying to help. The new pity case.

Of course, we can't forget Gotham Girl, as well, who has been the sole motivator for everything Bruce has done in this book.

I know that he is considered as part of the family, but I can see why. Some random black dude without any skills or character is now among trained literally mini-Bruces. What the fuck.

Because he's Snyder's OC and Snyder is playing a major role in the Bat office

Snyder considering Harper as failure and only Tynion who still cares about her. So, I think she will stay irrelevant.

>Duke
>Harper
>Batwing
How many SMART and CAN USE COMPUTERS characters Batfamily needs?

Why Snuder having such major role there? Because his run was successful among normies?

Being successful is only shit that matters in offices, user. Why do you think nobody will kick Bendis out of Marlel?

Because his stories sold more than Grant Morrison's stories.

Yep, he's pretty much in control of the Bat line.

>I can just see him as temp Tim replacement
Dunno about this, user. Snyder said that the batfamily (which I assume he means the Robins) will make appearance in ASB soon to include Duke more with them.

Duke isn't going anywhere.

Duke Thomas is the new kid with attitude (Jason Todd 3.0)
Harper Row is the new kid good with tech (Tim Drake 2.0)
Luke Fox is the new charmer who's almost as good as Batman (Dick Grayson 5.0)

Fuck. And they're more PoC, too.
Batman preptimed reserve Robins.

Dick Grayson (Nightwing)
Barbara Gordon (Batgirl)
Jason Todd (Red Hood)
Damian Wayne (Robin)
Cassandra Cain (Orphan)
Stephanie Brown (Spoiler)
Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael)
Kate Kane (Batwoman)
Luke Fox (Batwing)
Harper Row (Bluebird)
Duke Thomas (Lark)
Claire Clover (Gotham Girl)
Basil Karlo (Clayface)

Goddamn! The Bat-Clan is currently bigger than the Justice League!

How do we fix it?

Then there are the auxiliary character:

Alfred Pennyworth
Haruld Allnut MAH BOY is back!
Julia Pennyworth
Maya Ducard (Nobody)
Dinah Lance (Black Canary)
Helena Bertinelli (Huntress)
Lucas Trent (Midnighter)

>Dick Grayson (Nightwing)
>Barbara Gordon (Batgirl)
>Jason Todd (Red Hood)
>Damian Wayne (Robin)
Only these characters are major players in the batfamily while the rest are changeable.

Duke Thomas is a major player right now no matter how much you might not like it.

He barely does anything.

Kill them all and replace with Harley.

Does Batgirl consider as major player anymore? She's barely included in anything nowadays compared to N52.

I think rebirth version is this:
>Dick Grayson (Nightwing)
>Jason Todd (Red Hood)
>Damian Wayne (Robin)
>Duke Thomas (Lark)

>bat sex

Given how hard she's being pushed, I'd include Batwoman on that list as well.

You know, I think Tim fans might have a legitimate reason to worry about Duke.

If whatever they planned for Tim didn't work out, they might officially replace him with Duke.

I am impress that there are not bane? Joker in this thread.

Is bane finally not a meme anymore ?

Tim... is in weird spot. He has nothing going for him, but anything that he might appear sells well.

He's a bigger seller than Damian, believe you or not.

Yeah, I think that they are replacing Barbara with Kate instead.

She have 2 books for herself. Also, she appeared in Nightwing.
I really hope that they will make her Oracle again.

They still don't know what to do with Batwoman. They tried to make her the occult girl, but that failed. Now they're going to try to make her the espionage girl, but this will probably fail as well.

Not that they know what to do with Barbara either.

Poor Tim. Pushed out by some kid who Bruce doesn't even know

>Lark

Damian isn't a big draw, but what book Tim was in that sold well?

Any book.

The previous Teen Titans books, despite how horrible they were, sold more than the current Teen Titans book starring Damian.

The thing about Tim is that he sells well, because i guess there are a lot of hardcore readers that like him, but the problem is that the writers have no fucking idea what to do with him.

So it is a whole conundrum.

Basically...

Writers have tons of ideas to explore with Damian, but for some reason his books don't sell well. Meanwhile Tim sells well, but writers have no idea what to do with him. What stories to tell, which characterization to go, where to lead the character and so on.

My solution? Team-up book starring Damian and Tim.

The new Oracle is whoever the creepy stalker is in her book.

The old TT didn't sell much better than the new one and DC made made a lot of changes with that to make it work and even put Rocafort on the book.

Instead of saying every book how about you give me better examples?

Can you give the sales number comparison?

I think DC giving her a solo book so soon is a big mistake and going to destroy her.

DC is rushing things for some reason. I also think that they publishing Super Sons too soon and it might hurt Jon.

For the pedofags, Super Sons can't come soon enough.

Don't listen to him because neither Tim or Damian are big sellers.

Detective is still doing well and Tim's "death" did not hurt it or even boost the sells.

I like Jon and I also think that SS might be his downfall because he's not ready to have his own book yet.

What does Suicide Squad got anything to do with Jon?
There's crossover of them?

Super Sons.

Honestly Damien's problem is that writers reset his personality back to annoying brat every story arc.He does not have to be Mr.Nice Guy but would it kill the writers to make him slightly more mellow?

A Damien and Tim team up book could be interesting.

>A Damien and Tim team up book could be interesting.

That's pretty much the dynamic of Super Sons. Damian being an asshole like always and Jon being the nice and sweet kid that doesn't take his bullshit like Tim used to do.

Damian's age and him being the fourth Robin are his biggest problems. DC will never allow him to grow up and there's nothing more you can do with him that has been done before.

Well, you can keep introducing him to new friends where he can behave as the biggest asshole all over again until he learns to appreciate and respect them.

Basically repeating his relationship with Dick over and over and over again.

I honestly feel bad for Bane. Batman just lost Tim and now he is going after the Robins? Batman is not only going to break his damn back but probably his legs and arms too.

You dont fuck with a grieving Batman.

Is Duke one of the targets or is he involved just because?

I think he's involved just because.

I did notice that Barbara is disconnected from the rest of the family.

I believe this is exatcly the kind of shit that Snyder and his cronies would come up with.

Please, prove me wrong, King.

Mark Doyle, the current main editor is the one who found Snyder. And he became the main editor in the middle of Snyder's run.

You do the math.

Wasn't the other way around?

Bane?

Tim is the new "Failed Robin" and will probably come back as a brainwashed monster for the family to fight.

Don't think so because Snyder already has a plan to bring one of Batman's former student who became a villain to fight Batman and the family. I think the arc will be called the "The Alley".

No, Doyle was literally the one who started Snyder's career
> Mark Doyle is the one that came to that reading with the book that I was in. He found me, [....]. He brought me into comics.
>batman-news.com/2016/11/09/scott-snyder-on-all-star-growing-up-with-batman-and-a-look-at-the-inner-workings-of-the-bat-team/

I don't know if Bane would take on the whole bat-family.
But if he does pull it off will the Robins die?

No but I mean as in later later, His last line was "My friends will come for me" which is such a set up for "No one came for me" and him being brainwashed to hate them because of it. It would be plausible for Oz to think of it as poetic that he severes the ties he was bringing together again

>the Robins die
Definitely not because each one died at least once and currently carrying ongoing.

Arkham Knight style? That would be too obvious and would destroy Tim even farther.

If executed well with no dialogue at all and only exposition of what turned him into that done in flash backs it could work. Turn Tim into this unfeeling machine who doesn't have a word of dialogue and works only through action it could work. Have it be, in the end, that cassandra be the only one that's able to read his actions accurately.

I'd rather have Duke than another guest appereance from Dick, Damian and Jason where everyone gets their dick sucked and shown how they are better than Bruce for meme reasons like "he is nice!", "he works as a team!" or "he got pas his trauma!"

>Dick, Damian and Jason where everyone gets their dick sucked and shown how they are better than Bruce for meme reasons
When did this ever happened in Batman book?

It's gonna be Ace

He was called Lark in a nightmare during Endgame.
I hope they go for something else like Knightstrike

Batman and Robin Eternal just to name the most recent example

Snyder didn't have the balls to do it dotf and I doubt King will do it in this arc.

>Batman and Robin Eternal
This book was supposed to be for Robin 75 celebration and ended up be about Harper instead. Not to mention that each one of the Robins got their fair share of humiliating moments in it.

What a poor example. Do you have anything better to support your claim?

Harper was just a damsel in distress for most of the story anyway

It's a perfectly fine example considering the same people are still working on the current Batman line

No it's not, because Batman was hardly in the book and it was supposed to be about ROBIN.

Does I AM CIA arc come afterwards?
