Ratings

There's a lot of misinformation and innuendo about the subject, so it's time for Nielsen ratings! Come take a look at the absolute state of the entire television industry

We start with CBS, still the #1 most-watched network in America.

Here's ABC

Our friends at the peacock, NBC

And Fox. Notice how The Simpsons is one of the few shows in existence that has GAINED viewers since last year.

Here's The CW, check out the seasonal drop on Supergirl

Never even heard of these Chicago shows

Just for laughs, here's SyFy

HBO, the only network that's actually growing?

And AMC. Ouch, not even The Walking Dead is keeping people's attention anymore.

Any other networks you guys want to know about?

>that drop in Silicon
I stopped midway season 2 did it really get that bad?

Starz I guess also what about ID channel you know the one with all the police and murder shows

Here's Starz. Incredibly disappointed that everyone on earth isn't watching Ash vs Evil Dead.

I don't have a chart for ID, but it looks like Chris Hansen is still going strong!

Post USA's ratings

I got you senpai. Congrats to Jessica Biel, I guess

>none of the WWE shows listed
It's as scripted as it gets

any news on Salvation? was it cancelled?

>all in red
Looks like we'll be watching let's plays on youtube in the future. Kill me now.

They'd be on top by far, the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw pulled 3.1 million viewers, 2.5 million for Smackdown.

can someone post numbers from lets say 1997

I dont know what the viewership used to be

I hope you're not too attached to it

Good to see all that red

Can some one explain in simple terms what the 18-49 demo is? Is it different for broadcast vs cable vs premium cable? Is it people or households?

Age group. Advertisers pay more for a good 18-49 rating. It matters more than total viewers.

Well, I don't have fancy charts like this, but how about the top 10 shows of 1997?

Seinfeld: 32 million viewers
ER: 30 million viewers
Friends: 25 million viewers
Veronica's Closet: 24 million viewers
Touched By An Angel: 21 million viewers
Frasier: 21 million viewers
Union Square: 20 million viewers
Home Improvement: 20 million viewers
The X-Files: 19 million viewers
The Drew Carey Show: 17 million viewers

By the way, The Simpsons came in 17th place that year with 15 million viewers.

It's a simple percentage. 0.9 demo means approximately 0.9% of all 18 to 49 year olds looking at a television that night are watching that show.

>superior donuts
>renewed
that's legitimately the worst show I've ever seen

>millions of people have just started watching Game of Thrones this year
what the actual fuck

holy hell times really have changed

The only ratings that matters. People love talking about total viewers but it's irrelevant.

I know eight of those shows well but no fucking idea what Union Square or Veronica's Closet were

I wonder if the top 10 shows of right now will be that memorable in 2037

>2017
>believing in ratings

Well there's one media company gaining eyeballs at a meteoric rate

>touched by an uncle

And yet they still lose billions

does anyone really know what time it is

wtf with the focus on chicago

I like competition. Sucks if Netflix will be the only company at the end of this.

Amazon business model, can run up as much debt as you want as long as you keep expanding to catch your previous debt

I really liked Scream Queens though

looks like I was the only one

I bet she's taking out her frustration on Evan right now

It's the new meme now that the Law and Order franchise is finally dying

vaguely remembered comedy is a 17 minute vehicle bookending advertising

>watched by millions for years but completely forgotten

Bazingism will be a religion by then

What are PBS ratings? Are they even counted, as they are commercial free and publicly funded?

fuck me, i actually really like it

Does PBS even have shows or just franchised British shit?

>it's a let's laugh at how bad at the ratings are, which indirectly validates them thread

how clever

>Dark Matter (canceled)

I've only heard of like five of these shows

why so mad

its not that great a show

EXACTLY

Ratings are fake as is this 'expose'

Jesus Christ how can they even produce shows with those views

Fake news

>true detective

wat

you mean they started watching it on HBO because they are further than the books now

But Jodelle...

>1997 is as far away as 2037

Amazon is beathing them in Europe

bingo

OP is trying to sell a 1/2 truth to preserve a full on lie.

>blood drive cancelled
>12 monkeys renewed

Worst timeline confirmed.

Also the business model of the USA

...can move on to better things

I liked the first season.

Season 2 really shat the bed though, especially when they killed Chad Radwell.
