It's really not that big a deal...first of all, the rainbow color has been changed to identify more with Twilight's colors, being the mane character and all they want people to identify with since the upcoming movie
And yeah, the blue could be seen as trying to make the brand seem more unisex than purely girly, but that was the whole point of the "Guardians of Harmony" brand to begin with and there's nothing wrong with that, they know they have a lot of male fans and decided to go for a toyline that takes advantage of that since most of their merchandise us manchildren have no shame in buying, but what about the younger male fans who would be ashamed to buy anything that classifies as a "doll" rather than "action figure"
