Dave Mazzuchelli

Only reason I still bother with Miles is because of Pichelli. Otherwise I skip it.

Stefano Caselli

Kelley Jones

J.H. Williams III

Rick Burchett

Is he still on fucking teen inhumans?
Dear god Marvel is wasteful to absolutely vile degrees.

> J.H Williams the 3rd
> Gabriele Dell'Otto (pic related)
> Lee Bermejo
> Ivan Reis (when inked by Joe Prado)
> Francis Manapul

Bachalo.

This or Frank Quitely desu

Stuart Immonen

His he going to be a ongoing artist for ASM or just for a arc or so?
Because he deserves immeasurably more then Slott.

Uncanny x men was honestly some of his best work

Reis is better when inked by Oclair Albert.

Not that I'm aware of. He got shunted over to Bendis and his IIM (RiRi) run. Literally the only reason I'm picking that dreck up. So they're still being wasteful, just in a different place.

Quitely

Murphy is a close second though

If you don't think Ribic ain't the tightest shit ever, you can get packing and get the fuck out my house now.

Omg that run was so desperately fucking good.

>Marvel Execs: "I got it, we'll put one of our best writers, and one of our best authors on a floundering title so they can turn it around!"
>Marvel Execs: "Fucking brilliant!"
>sets up one of the best fucking arcs ever in mainstream comics, particularly because it is so unexpected and well done
>Marvel Execs: "Okay, things are going good. Why don't we take Hickman off this, have him write three different comics at the same time and give Ribic to Thor?"
>Marvel Execs: "Whose going to write and do the art then?"
>Marvel Execs: "We'll get a guy whose only comic is about a dude who fucks his dog and turns into a crystal at the end, and a carpetbagger of an artist."
>Marvel Execs: "That's even better than the first idea!"

I actually contemplated suicide after seeing that, "You were always smarter" line from Reed towards Sue.

...

...

To be fair I am happy about Ribic moving to GOT because God Butcher/God bomb was holy.
But seriously they couldn't fucking let them finish that last arc? Fuck's sake.

They literally only needed like four issues at most to do it considering how fast they were moving.

I love Ribic, the only thing that bothers me about his art is that sometimes he takes his "Oh" faces too far.

Yeah, that can happen. I noticed it's a more recent trend starting with the Ultimates because (according to him) that's when he started using a tablet. You can actually see quite blatantly where he's just copy-pasted some guys in a few of the battlescenes because he hasn't figure out how to just make tiny changes to them yet. I think that this is just a necessary part of him attempting to increase the speed of his workflow.

...

Alex Ross

His art makes me believe that Super Heroes can exist.

...

...

...

When male Thor gets a ongoing again Ross better fucking stop doing covers for Slott's crap and move to Thor.

You could literally faceswap any of Ross' characters (assuming you keep the same gender) and no one would notice. He relies on freehanding his same two or three models way too much. I respect that he tried to capture the Realism movement of Rockwell's style vicariously in his comics, but Rockwell didn't literally make everyone look the fucking same.

Doesn't he already? The Unworthy Thor?

It's just a 5 issue mini.
Once he gets the ultimate hammer I am hoping they will give him a new firm ongoing.

When the FUCK is Ribic's VS series coming out?
The original preview says it was suppose to be out in the fall.

Eh, his Uncanny stuff looks nice but he peaked 20 years earlier with his Death minis and the first part of his Generation X run. Also his stuff on Carey's X-Men looked better too.

Too many to name but I really like Greg Capullo. I loved Spawn when I was a kid and Greg is pretty much a better Mcfarlane.

Francis Manapul and inked by Brian Buccellato
not inking Manapul but his art

Good taste

For me it kinda depends. Like really great artists can still draw really shitty crap. For example, Phil Noto is sometimes just off when he's not drawing something he cares about. Kevin Wada and Bachalo are like that too.

But in general:
>JHW III
>Gerhardt & Dave Sim
>Bill Sienkiewicz
>J. M. DeMatteis
>Del Mundo
>Mike Dringenberg
>Ben Dewey
>Jeff Stokely
>Juan Diaz Canales
>Moebius
>Kelley Jones
>Eddie Campbell

That's just work in general.

>"Oh, I don't give a fuck about this tedious part of my job? I have zero motivation now."

>>no Brian Bolland
Y'all niggas trippin

Demateis is not an artist but good shoutout regardless.

JH WIlliams III
Frank Quitely
Jae Lee
Fernando Blanco
Duncan Fegredo
Brendan McCarthy
Jon J. Muth
Paul Pope
Bill Sienkiewicz
Riley Rossmo
Farel Dalrymple
Jock
Dustin Nguyen (watercolors)
Jason Shawn Alexander
Tyler Crook
Michel Fiffe
Scott Kolins
Sonny Liew
John Paul Leon
Tommy Lee Edwards
Yanick Paquette
Chris Burnham
Teddy Kristiansen
Scott Hampton
Glynn Dillon

>J. M. DeMatteis
Fuck man, I always confuse him and Jon Muth on the book.

I thought black canary was giving me the finger

seconded

Only when colored by John Higgins otherwise it looks like crap.

Chris Samnee. Just give him fucking any writer but Waid.

Can't think of a single character the way he draws wouldn't fit, or style he wouldn't be able to work with.

You guys make coming back to Sup Forums worthwhile.

>Just give him fucking any writer but Waid.
His next project will most likely be with Waid also. Suck it.

Off the top of my head:
Carlos Ezquerra
Eduardo Risso
Mick McMahon
Guido Crepax
Kevin O'Neil
Solano Lopez
Jordi Bernet
Alberto Breccia
Joe Kubert
Tim Truman
Denys Cowan
Jack Kirby

Is Cooke doing anything now?

Breh.

A textbook example of mediocrity.

user, I have some really bad news for you.

Fuck man I forgot... I've been up for like 24 hours and shit's getting weird.

Matteo Scalera

mignola you fucking plebs

coloring is so fucking important, if they get the wrong colorists, pencillers' art looks like shit. compare JH Williams III' art how it's with all the Batwoman stuff and then go back and compare it to the art in Chase 1.000.000.
Exact same style and composition on Williams' part but the colorist did a horrible job.
don't have comparisons handy right now since I'm at work for another few hours.

In all honesty I think the older pre-computer coloring, especially in the late '80s and early '90s, looks a hell of lot better than modern coloring. Some of the '90s Wonder Woman stuff with people like Matt Hollingsworth looks really nice.

I never implied that old = bad. I just said the colorist in that specific comic made it look horrible. if you have the chance to look it up, take a look and you will probably agree with me. all of that compared to recent work of Williams' colorists.

Bruno Redondo. I like him because I really saw his art getting better as Injustice went on, his art in issue #5 of Year One is completely different as his art nowadays
