Terry is overrated. Only the the batman beyond costume was great about him.

>the villains are actually threatening because they're spliced or chromed up
>who is terry
Old bruce was just the cherry on top

if it was set a it further in the future and replaced him with old man Dick it still would have worked

Terry was a great antithesis to Bruce. He could be naive, hot blooded, and even sometimes a little ruthless, but he had much more empathy the Bruce.

...

>we could have gotten her finally as Terry's Robin in the comics
>nah fuck that, have some even more Tim

It was just an overall solid show.

Old Bruce without Terry would be better than Terry without Old Bruce, but they need each other. Terry was a better counter-point than any of the Robins had been.

In some episodes her tits were larger than her head and it was hilarious.

>Her character will never be seen again

sadface,jpg

A SUPERSTITIOUS AND COWARDLY LOOOOOOT!

I doubt it, Bruce didn't really take up too much of the show so anyone who watched it for Bruce would be spending a lot of time watching people who aren't Bruce.

>Terry never tapped that
Shame

I mean, it had a really strong villain roster

That Terry kept killing and crippling.

>corporate mandate character
>never shows up again in any other Batman related media

Feels good man

Why do you insult best girl?

She's third best girl at best.

based terry

Couldn't even be there for her kid, she got what was coming to get.

i think its funny that terry was at least indirectly involved in the death of at least 5 super villians

and the fantastic 4 super team im sure he killed the flat guy

RIP in peace Nelson's schway car.

I want a BB movie just to see what a big budget movie could do with the sound design with him.

The show did it amazingly well but i just wanna see what happens if you throw like 15 years of improvements and a shit load of money and need to make normies like a villain that uses sound.

LOL, you're kidding, right?

Beyond's villains weren't very good aside from Blight(revamped Phosphorous) and Inque(rule 63 Clayface). Beyond was still a good show and I love it. But it's villains just doesn't compare to the original Batman rogue gallery, in fact the best moments are when they showed up, like Freeze and Joker.

Old man Bruce was amazing, I learned more about aging and the impact it has on people. Batman being old was really something that put things into perspectice for me as a kid.

Also the villians were cool as fuck, Derek Powers was really fucking cool.

Muh Blight,, muh dangers of radioactivity.
And the Inque episode was creepy as fuck.

Poor caretaker.

Forgot pic.

Oh yeah, Fries's episode was sad as fuck.
The show really tackeled some tough shit.

All those dead and dying.

Doesn't Old Man Dick exist in the Batman Beyond comics? Isn't he a Nick Fury sort of spy director?

I can: I hate Bat-man and assocaited franchise shit. I liked beyond in SPITE of old Bruce.

Do you think most of his money went to metamucil?

>Awesome OST
>Fantastic updating of villains
>Great Batman outfit

>Terry was a great antithesis to Bruce.
Terry is gay.

I actually liked that in a way. Look at Terry's success rate compared to Bruce's. Most of Terry's biggest threats never plagued the city when he beat them.

It goes back to when Bruce tried to make Terry feel bad for indirectly making Blight, and his response was basically "He was already an awful person, I don't feel bad at all."

And that is why Terry is best boy.

*cough* Dee-Dee *cough*

YOUR CAR LOOKS LIKE A LEGO

>batman beyond
You mean the show where everyone who opposes terry dies or faces a fate worse that death

Your face is made out of megablocks

> (OP)
>Terry was a great antithesis to Bruce. He could be naive, hot blooded, and even sometimes a little ruthless, but he had much more empathy the Bruce.
>empathy

Terry fucked over his go, fucked over his friends, mutilated or caused the deaths of multiple villains, and destroyed a schwey car, fuck Terry.

Batman Beyond made me like Harley Quinn quite a bit, since it gave us the surprisingly rare instance of a villain actually realizing that being a villain sucks and quitting altogether.

It's a shame Harley Quinn nowadays won't ever revisit that idea and will continue to be a quirky floozie for the Joker forever.

Maybe he did who knows.

>No Mad Stan

This.

Dick really got shafted in this universe.

>cucked
>alone
>never focused on

Why did they hate him so much?

That's what makes it schwey.

I am greatly saddened there has never been an actual Batman Musical.

>it's an americans make an exaggerated parody of anti-government freedom fighters episode
>no more jury duty
come on

There was a superman musical
youtu.be/eNXbdLDZLKM?t=42m18s

>those rare instances where they'd play the old batman theme

He had Dana and Ten, I feel he was doing well enough.

because bruce X babs was the OTP of the writing staff

What do you guys thinknof the new suit. I think its a little to much

Dont know why the image didnt attach. Damn android

>Terry is gay.
Well, no one said that ALL of his character traits were different from Bruce's.

>Mister Freeze in Batman Beyond
"Take a good look, Doctor. I've been this way for the past fifty years, and I haven't aged one day. I have become what many men dream of, an immortal. Yet, there isn't a day, an hour, or a minute that I don't think about death. It obsesses me."

>'Freeze! You've got to get out of there! The whole place is coming down!'
"Believe me... You're the only one who cares."

Fucking hits me in the feels every time.

Presumably, because he values the advancement of his political agenda over quality writing.

Huh. So they're not even pretending they're not ripping off Miguel O'Hara's costume now. I mean that's literally just the Beyond suit with Spidey eyes and little spidery legs all over.

It surprises me Bruce didn't object more.

Jesus Christ, what have they done?

I don't think bruce wanted to object. I think he understood that killing was more efficient, he just couldn't bring himself to it

Batman Beyond is basically what if Spider-Man took place in Batman's future and it's actually great

And your face is made of Stickle Bricks

TAS had an episode where Harley realized Joker is an ass, and another where she tries to live as a civilian but fucks up. Great use of her character before the show changed channels and they needed Harley to be Ivy's fuck buddy.

Bruce was an old and jaded man by that point and probably knew it was best to leave well enough alone

Old Man Bruce was the weakest character in the show. He got his ass handed to him by Inque while in the power armor, his prefrontal cortex has deteriorated so much that Terry is able to solve crimes before he can, not to mention he acts like he's above everyone and he doesn't care that he's alone while still looking at memories of all the potential happy lives he could've had.

Also, the first season is so much better than the second season, when they had to force Maxine Gibson and "moral of the day" episodes into the plot. Batman Beyond got people's attention by being cyberpunk to compliment TAS' film-noir setting. Terry as a character is engaging because he views the role of Batman as a punishment and a mantle of atonement for failing his father, whereas Bruce always wore the mantle as vengeance for his parents' deaths. That difference in attitude alone, beyond how Terry is a sarcastic jackass to oppose Bruce's stoic demeanor, is enough to make the show interesting.

Beyond was a fairly deep show for its time and it's a shame it only lasted three seasons

Terry wasn't responsible for all of them dying or getting fucked up. Lots of it ended up being self inflicted or unintentional. Trust me, if one villain managed to stand out and stay popular, they would have asspulled a way for them to show up again

Inque was like that, for example.

Honestly she probably came closest to killing Terry the most.

The intro to Batman Beyond was fucking GOAT
youtube.com/watch?v=sMXjtvMAFlI

Its a prototype but apparently its going to fuck with terry abit. I really like the comic Atm but i have a soft side for batman beyond

Bruce had aged past caring at that point.

I didn't get how in a place where flying cars are common a normal wheeled one can be considered schway

>He got his ass handed to him by Inque while in the power armor

>quit being Batman because your heart can't take it anymore
>specifically use a power armor suit that puts a huge strain on you heart
C'mon, cut him some slack.

>his prefrontal cortex has deteriorated so much that Terry is able to solve crimes before he can
Bruce can and has solved crimes that Terry has been investigating without even leaving the cave. His body is nearly toast but his mind is still sharp.

>Old Man Bruce was the weakest character in the show
Writing or ability? I think he was well written for the reasons you mentioned, but he was also poor physical shape for good reasons too. He would have gotten more concussions than a football player, and would have been a vegtable by 50

It was pretty much a Spider-Man show, about Spider-Man. Bruce is the only thing that made it slightly not Spider-Man.

Displays of fashion have always been about showing how well off you are. As time goes on, time becomes the greatest luxury of them all. What better fashion statement to show how well off you are than to drive an older model car that's slower but still in good condition? It shows unlike the plebs below you, you can afford to take things slow and in style

>the guys in the background

that eyepatch is pretty great for being so simple. it makes that part of his face look like a menacing hollow socket as opposed to just some cloth

Well, it was supposed to be a darker and bleaker future.

I still think Dick Fury was one of the best things about the Beyond comics.

I miss Beyond 2.0.

Why couldnt rebirth bring that back?

I miss Kyle and Higgins. They had it all perfectly nailed, right down to how to design a Beyond Villain, instead of what DC was doing BEFORE 2.0, which was LITERALLY Catwoman Beyond and Hush Beyond.

although I will admit, Joe Chill's descendant becoming a vigilante was something I thought was interesting. dumb, they didnt need to drag Joe Chill back into this, but it was interesting as a twist.

Old Bruce would have been shit without Terry and vice versa.

If Terry was just doing the naive Batman stuff without Bruce then it'd feel like every other random pass the mantle show. Bruce mentoring him offset that.

They are part and parcel of the reason it was good.

Plus villains that were actually interesting and fun. That's a major part of it.

They keep trying to fix what isn't broken.

Boy do I have good news for you
youtu.be/hmZhMeY5L44

this is best girl but she is definitely second best girl

that is not good news.

that was awful

Oh boy, I finally have a reason to post this.

>all that red

for what purpose

>Old Man Bruce was the weakest character in the show.

Tell that to Shriek.

It's growing on me, but it's not that great

Uh, you're wrong. BB was popular because it basically took Peter Parker, made him a jock, and put him in a Batman suit with old Batman bossing him around. It's very easy to relate to.

...

Beyond wouldn't have worked if he was already dead. Too little emotional connection.

>90 year old with heart problems is physically weaker than a bunch of super humans and young athletes

No way.

this. like 2.0 wasn't perfect, but it was close to it. the art especially was the highlight

no batman beyond i'll fans on Sup Forums?
youtube.com/watch?v=Ax7OkSLp5MA

>that bit where she force-kisses Terry while Bruce listens.
Hnng evil rapey girls are great.

...

It was kino

That's because he did his job right.

Bruce should have been just as brutal.

>Milf forces herself onto a highschool student

Oh baby
