He's a big guy

have they produced anything remotely good after their revenge films era where everyone talked about korean movies? seems like all recs are from that time.

last good kor movies I heard about were THE WAILING and Train to Busan

you should make a thread asking for this. people are tired of posting Memories of Murder

The Terror Live was really good

Film of the year desu

Comrade Kim Goes Flying is pretty fun if you want to see the most in your face cheesy propaganda film.
It's actually insidious how well this film makes you smile. It's just so hopeful and upbeat and it constantly has spiels like "We're the working class, we built society, we can achieve anything!"

The Wailing is fantastic, even though a bit confusing without knowledge of their culture.

The Handmaiden, but that's all I know.

what flick

On.the.Beach.at.Night.Alone.2016.720p.HDRip.H264.AAC-iMBC.mp4

I have no knowledge of korean culture and just watched this movie the other day, it was great but I was very much confused.

Care to explain?

Meme director

> Hot young woman goes around being sad she doesn't have film director cock in her

Fucking pathetic.

Can anyone give me like a couple good korean movies? i watched og old boy & train to busan and enjoyed them. where do you torrent that shit? thanks in advance ;^)

I haven't watched Korean cinema in years. Any recommendations? Ive already watched and enjoyed everything listed on "Top 10 lists" (Memories of Murder, JSA, King and the Clown,Tale of Two Sisters, Spring Summer Fall Winter etc)

I have a thing for dramas, suspense, thrillers etc

mad cuz fag, hong sang soo has been killing it these last few years.

지금은맞고그때는틀리다 was GOAT as well|

maybe step out of that realm and watch Sunny and The good the bad the weird

watch The Wailing

Ive watched "The Good, The Bad...", I'll look into Sunny.

Will do. The plot looks interesting.

I trust this website completely. These must be the best the gooks have made lately

Short version
girl in white is good, japanese guy is a demon and shaman was in on it with an evil guy. It's incredibly simple but the movie presents information in a such a way that it's intentionally confusing, puts you into main character's shoes basically.

Here's a more detailed explanation youtube.com/watch?v=lxjp2YIk798&t=7s

How shit are my tastes and what should I watch next?

Sup Forumsneeds more korean drama/movie threads

honestly there are tons of threads and even essential kor films. these threads are useless

...

Memories of Murder is a fantastic detective/thriller. A lot of people will recommend I Saw the Devil but i thought it was ridicilous and schlocky in a torture-porn kinda way.

Castaway on the Moon for a lighter/romantic side, it's about a guy who tries to kill himself but ends up washed up on a tiny island in the middle of the city that he can't escape from and starts having correspondence with a NEET girl who sees him from her room window.

was there any special reason the Japanese guy was the devil in The Wailing?

Do you suffer from diabetes?

Colonization.

What are the absolute best Korean films?

>Oasis
What a problematic film. It wouldn't even matter if they cast an actual actress with cerebral palsy, the film is 'neurotypical saviour' trash.

Who is saved at the end?

Threadly reminder that Memories of Murder >>> Oldboy

MoM is one of the best movies ever, period

What did Sup Forums think of A Taxi Driver?

The Host?

The Attorney might be Kang-ho Song's best performance

Castaway on the moon, there's plent of good Korean kino

New World is goat korean gangster film

>Sunny
my nigger. my mom recommended this to me a few years back when it came out because it reminded me of her childhood and it was great

The Handmaiden was dull as dishwater
Looked fantastic and cant fault the performances but the whole intense lesbianism erotica fell flat

Look at that waifu! hnggg

Here is a lesser know one that is worth a watch if you are into Korean culture

I like his videos on pornhub.

I don't disagree, but I think my problem is that I expected something more sinister then how it ended up.

same
it built up the creepy sex mad guy then turned into a romance which i cared not a jot about

>720p.HDRip.H264.AAC-iMBC.mp4
this is yify-tier. kys my dude

>my dude
cringe

The Villainess just came out this year. Nothing you probably haven't seen before but still highly entertaining and the first person POV fight scene at the beginning was pretty cool.

No one but it was neurotypical wish fulfillment.

I enjoyed it. Expected a light comedy (which it initially is) but it gets really unexpectedly dark.
