ITT: things in horror movies that annoy and don't scare you

little girls or women who are all bloody, theyre either ghosts, zombies, spirits, or something, it's not scary at all. I think the grudge or the ring started this shit

bonus annoying points for
>none of this is really happening
>the protagonist is actually crazy
>BUT MAYBE NOT at the end

That's actually super hot.

source?

...

some movie on netflix called clinical

>old timey recording of a children's song starts playing

any good? gets shit ratings, but ratings aren't always accurate

ITT: things in horror movies that annoy and don't scare you

little girls or women who are all sluted, theyre either killers, old women with medical contions, wild cunnies, or something, it's not scary at all. I think the Addam's family or the orphan started this shit

bonus annoying points for
>none of this is really happening
>the protagonist is actually crazy
>BUT MAYBE NOT at the end

I like certain parts of the movie, it's better than most of the horror schlock on netflix,

thanks, i'll give it a whirl

old women are actually pretty scary, i guess that's an important point I should have mentioned

...

Ghosts, spirits, demons etc. Really any kind of supernatural horror. Give me aliens or lab monsters or something.

i hate it when little girls in movies are sexually violated or thought of in an inappropriate manner, it's okay when they turn 18 tho

>'spooky' children or spooky nursery rhymes
>monster vision (camera following the victim with some goofy effect)
>loud jump scares
>le creepy smile/grin
>generic looking monsters (weird bald skinny thing)
>mouth agape monsters screaming

>mouth agape monsters screaming

im glad that layer of movies has sort of passed lmao

Also the formulaic haunting/possession story

>move into house
>spooky stuff happens
>Do research and happen to find exactly what they are looking for down to the name of the demon
>more spooky stuff
>call in a priest or some spiritual person to fix things
>spooky climax
>I problem resolved but hint at the end that the evil wasn't totally vanquished
>alternatively everyone dies

Creepy little girls is my favorite horror trope. It's cliche but still makes for the best creepy character, it's boring seeing adult men being possessed.

When the monster is defeated in the end by just confronting it

"Atmosphere" or ambiguity that actually isn't either, but just neglect from the film makers.

name TWO movies that have a creepy man who is possessed where it's boring****

I personally have a hard time getting into serial killer movies, where it's just some dude killing people. One gun shot and the movie is over, but with supernatty stuff, it's not so simple and to me that adds tension and a feeling of no control

>Creepy little girls is my favorite horror trope.

be honest, user, you just want to fuck creepy little girls

When the protags think they are helping the ghost, but they were being manipulated all along. Fucking hate that shit.

i love that angle, it's deliciously ironic

>he dosnt get scared by bloody little girls
edgy
