Holy fuck; I'd totally watch this.

A miniseries about the more messed up characters in Ooo could actually be pretty cool.

Teen Titans TV-MA, ummm...
Samurai Jack TV-Y7, literally like the original

I don't know if I want this

Samurai Jack would be exactly the same. So that's cheating.

South Park would be similar to Clarence then. It'd be a slice of life about stupid kids with a hint of political satire in the background with the wacky adults.

Adventure Time would be the most edgy and brutal thing ever. Could be cool.

>Buddy Thunderstruck
noooo
>HBO Spawn
NOOOOOOOOOO

Dear god no.

>Steven Universe goes TV-MA

Honestly, the show is so rooted in optimism and kumbaya and goodwill to your fellow Gem I'm not sure it would fundamentally be that different, it would require a different creative team.

>Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero!

I know its Sup Forums, but Samurai Jack would be cheating. Honestly, the themes it explores near the end are pretty intense, but there's only a few fanservice moments, no language and the fighting is bloodless so who knows.

Samurai Jack would be minus the penis joke Sup Forums went apeshit over.

Would Robin be in danger from sex with Starfire?

>The last animated show for kids you saw is now TVMA
Pic related with my nephew, I'd imagine it would involve art involving sexual acts or somethinf about BDSM

>The last adult animated show you've watched is now TVY7
Bible Black Not even gonna think about it

>Duck Dodgers
>MA
Yes. Please. I just want to hear profanity in that stupid fucking Marvin/Porky/Dafffy voice.

>FiM TV-MA
I guess I could finally get my dream episode where Twi finds out she accidentally killed a person by a high tide while messing with sun and moon in S4 finale, and copes with it

South Park is TVMA, right? Trey and Matt should try making a TVY7 episode with no one cussing, doing some fucked up shit and just having a normal day. With no character acknowledging something is wrong. I don't think that's been an episode yet.

A mature WoY wouldn't work, it would go against what the series is about. Unless it becomes a fan dark AU where Wander is fucked up but not in the funny and endearing way.

>The last animated show for kids you saw is now TVMA

Threesome happens

You have to go back
>>Sup Forums

Wait what? I was on a flight on Sunday so I didn't check Sup Forums after catching SJ

They literally said penis!

Steven Universe becomes a really emotional dramedy like Bojack.
>Pearl and Rose's relationship is canon sexual
>It's implied Steven is the product of infidelity between Greg and Rose while Rose was still with Pearl
>Rose died during childbirth because of incompatible anatomy. Pearl and Greg are not on speaking terms.
>Amethyst has an actual suicide attempt. It becomes a major plot point for her character.
>Garnet is the only sane one but ends up being the Fixer!Friend and growing to resent a lot of them
>Greg is Louie; obsessed with being a father and attempting to do right by his kid but too hopelessly lost in his own bullshit to actually be a good impression on Steven
>Steven remains much the same which becomes the most heartbreaking part of the entire ordeal
Archer becomes a spy academy show
>Archer and the gang are aged down to 16
>Malory is the dean of the spy academy and Archer's son.
>Lana is the top of her class, has a rivalry with Archer that is also rife with sexual tension. Becomes watered down and exceedingly boring.
>Archer is literally Beast Boy without the green fur an annoying voice
>Ray is never outed until 3 seasons in and it's never addressed again. Hates everyone, wants to be transferred to the Air force academy.
>Pam and Cheryl remain much the same but are now hacking students and Cheryl's sexual tension gets transferred into an addiction to online gaming. Pam races RC cars with the kids from the dojo next door.

>spoiler
Theres just a bunch of hugging

Basically, Scaramouche rode on this guys head. After he walks off, Scaramouch turns to the camera and says "That guy's head looks like a penis." It was the first real use of profanity, and some people are salty since it's basically a "lol benis" joke. There's also a "motherfucker" drop in this episode.

>The last animated show for kids you saw
Samurai Jack season 3
>The last adult animated show you've watched
Samurai Jack season 5

Hmm.... I don't remember what was the last cartoon I watched before Jack

>There's also a "motherfucker" drop in this episode.
Wait what? I don't remember that.

>gravity falls

I don't know.
mabel says "fuck" a lot or something.

>American dad

I guess roger would have to be written out entirely. more focus on steve and his friends.

You have to go back.

It's just archer

Watch out! for those Aku-stics

are there any western animated shows with strong pedophilia tones?
besides south park of course.

Back to the past before Samurai Jack.

How does Y7 Metalocalypse work?

w0t

user is telling lies on the Internet.

I think Da Samoorai says "I was one bad motherfucker" at some point, but maybe he just said "mother". MAYBE he didnt say it at all, but I'm pretty sure he did.

>bob's burgers without the adult humor

so it's even more bland? how is that possible?

Samurai Jack just goes back to the way it was before the new season.

My Little Pony.. well, I don't know if friendship would even still be magic. I can't imagine how the show would work as anything other than TV-Y.

...

>Steven Universe becomes a really emotional dramedy like Bojack.
Yes, plea-- wait, Bojack? You're naming Bojack instead of Orel as an example of an emotional dramadey? Ooookay.

I know but what does it have to do with anything?

>My Little Pony
For some reason, I imagine that redneck horse walking onto her brother fucking some mare and not being swayed by her sister's visit

He didn't say that, however, he did say he was "bad-ass".

>TVY7 Jojo

HORRY SHIEEET

Literally samurai jack season 3 and 5 were the last two cartoons I watched

Eh, close enough.

>TV MA Arthur
Probably just Southpark but everyone's an animal, but a bit more down to Earth and less of the wacky shit, much like the first two seasons.

>TV Y7 King of the Hill
So, we shove the adult situations like Dale's cucking and Hank talking about kicking people's asses with more antics about selling propane to difficult customers, I guess? I'd still watch it, but it'd lose a lot in the translation.

This world is not prepared.

>Steven Universe

More kinky fusion please.

>Monogatari

Shit

>non-Sup Forums trash: Samurai Jack I think?

So no more talking penis jokes. What a shame.

>I'm gonna whoop your hiney!

They kind of have made episodes like that already.

Samurai Jack goes back to being a kids show, and Regular Show becomes Clerks.

Not bad.

Given in the comics they haven't had any problems I'd say no

it started as clerks.

MA to Y7 Rick and Morty
Honestly it would probably be a sci fi SVTFOE instead of fantasy and no romantic tension.

Y7 to MA Milo Murphy's Law
Probably a lot of cursing when things go wrong

Most of these folks are millenials who's first exposure is Bojack and they don't like Orel isn't 100% fedora.

Source?

>Last kids show
Loud House holy shit it'll be sex and wincest everywhere

>last adult show
Rick and Morty I'm having a hard time trying to imagine a kid safe version of Rick I mean Morty probably won't change much

>Sonic Boom
I think we all know what will happen

>American Crime Story
It will be a PBS show explaning the same events but with a softer tone and with animated dramatizations.

I don't buy that a show can't push an idealistic message and be rated TVMA.

I mean it might be harder to make and maybe darker in tone but that doesn't negate and idealistic outlook.

A rated TVMA cartoon show about racing anthropomorphic animals where each episode contains blatant fan service, deadly crashes, vulgar language and other adult themes only to be ruined by its bad animation, a predictable plot, bad voice acting and generic characters. I only watch it for the racing desu

>TVMA Elena of Avalor
Could be cool but could also end up a Game of Thrones rip off.
Political problems probably wouldn't be solved that easily that's for sure.

I was actually thinking how cool it might be to have a PG or TV14 Princess series.
One that had the Disneyesque Princess conventions without parodying them but had a more mature tone.
Something with more tension and harder to solve issues and problems than your usual girly show.

>TV-MA SpongeBob

>TV-Y7 Family Guy

I'm not sure if I'd want to watch either of those.

Why did you watch the latter to begin with?

Rick would just be the crazy uncle instead of a nihilistic alcoholic.

Alone and No Children though, or Clay's rant in the bar

it also gave us the best answer to a knock on the door: Why?

...

>One that had the Disneyesque Princess conventions without parodying them but had a more mature tone.
>Something with more tension and harder to solve issues and problems than your usual girly show.
So like a soap opera or a historical drama?

TVMA MLP

FINALLY

>TV-MA Loud House

Morel Orel style dramedy I guess. Add in some sexual comedy and cursing and shit. If there isn't explicit incest then there will at least be some jokes/discussion about it.

>TV-Y7 Madoka

I don't think the basic plot has to be totally reworked as long as we make some other changes... but we'd have to make a lot of changes. Remove the cursing, change the horrible deaths into fading away in a flash of light, change the forcing people to commit suicide into forcing people to give up their life energy or something, cut the weird floating void nudity, replace Mami and Homura's guns and explosives with generic magical energy blasts. That seems like a lot, and it is, but this is a show that's famous for a scene where a little girl gets her head chomped off. It's still be pretty bleak.

I don't think Rebellion could be adapted and keep the same level of quality, though. The Homura VS Mami fight can't exactly have the same ending.

a Y7 DT would probably be a more parody driven version of TDI

a TV M/17 Gravity Falls. For the first few episodes, nothing too horrific but by the end Bill has gone Hellraiser, Stan and Stan's falling out becomes a dark, bloody affair

There actually was a TV Y7 King of the Hill that aired on Fox Kids in the late 90s. Too bad there isn't a full episode of it floating around anywhere.

>Star Vs
It got really sort of weird and hot when Star confessed to Marco that she gets off to emotional abuse and suffering. And that at the end of Face the Music she ran away to the woods to have the most intense orgasm in her life.

>Rick and Morty
It's Future Worm basically.
That's what Future Worm was it even had the same VA's.

This is a problem. Last kids show I watched was Samurai Jack. Last adult show I watched was Samurai Jack.

WHERE IS MY SOURCE user

>Ever After high is now TVma

Ever After High is Kamen Rider Gaim of Little girls show

Now Ever After High is Garo of girl's shows.

All that can be answered with Bloberta asking 'Why not?' and with Moral being determined to not let other shitty things make him into his parents. Bojack only entertains that before he settles back into status quo and the show rewards him for that..

People say Moral Orel a depressing show but it's probably the most hopeful in breaking out of whatever bullshit people resign themselves to

The scene where pearl tries to murder baby steven isn't nearly as hand waved, some scenes are more gruesome. Sexuality is cranked up to 11. Steven and Connie have already bonked 10x over.

I have no idea how to feel about this.

> TV -MA Cow n Chicken, i'd imagine that red would get even more screentime plus buffalo gals become recurring characters

> TV-Y7 ATHF- it would be similar apart from cutting the gore plus carl's no longer a pervert but merely a grumpy neighbour

I know exactly what it'll be

youtu.be/luvP9AKlXfs

I dunno how this can possibly work

>Gumball reboots as an MA show
>episode where Gumball and Darwin find Internet Hentai and get sucked into the computer
>episode where they join the Crips and run from the 5-0
>episode where Gumball tries to singlehandedly take down ISIS after they destroy his house
>episode where Gumball realizes he has no genitals so he tries to grow some
>boondocks crossover
I'm in for this shit.

>My Life As A Teenage Robot for adults

Robot fetishists would be pleased, that or we'd get some cool violent robot battles and deep questions on "what it means to be human" or something.

>Venture Bros for kids

I'm so happy for children, but they will be grown adults by the time they get season 3.

Using the magic of friend to vaporize thier foes, deeper explored racial tensions between the 3 pone race and all other sapient life (Unicorn master race), actually exploring hell instead of just mentioning it exists, RD is a drunk, Rarity's a slut etc.

>pulling a the problem with power with pre-Glim Glam Twi

Oh yes, Id love that

wait... the D isn't for drug use?

why is there a category for language and a category for dialogue?

When I was a kid, I thought D was for drama, like it's too much drama for some viewers to handle.

That was dumb of me.

>TV Y7-FV
Wakfu

>TV MA
Moral Orel

This would be interesting

>TVY7 Xavier: Renegade Angel
How would this even work?

>We Bare Bears
Oh god, it would be all the shit from /wbb/ put on television.
>Archer
Not sure how well Adam and co. would manage under those restrictions. The characters would have to be even more idiotic and incompetent to make up for all the adult shit they do that hinders their ability to do their jobs, also the guns would all be lasers and no one would get shot.

>Rocko's Modern Life
It would be the same except the adult humor is even less subtle. I feel some of the magic would be lost.

>The Simpsons
Bart would stop saying eat my shorts? No more strangling.

I've always wanted to see a more "adult" FiM. The characters and settings are interesting, but the range of themes and situations they can depict is so restricted.

>Milo Murphy's Law
Murphy's Law is now a Final Destination-like deathtrap complete with blood, gore, and actual death with many of the unnamed background characters.
Milo's backpack is now filled with implements that normally accidentally maim or kill nearby bystanders.
Zack curses up a storm but can never bring himself to say the n-word.
Melissa wants Milo to fuck her even though the condoms keep breaking during use and she's lucky that she hasn't gotten pregnant yet.

Courage was never for kids.

Depends on how it's handled.
Ideally:
>Steven and Connie are somewhat older; maybe even Lars's age
>Can go deeper into topics like relationships (and sexuality), war, etc
>Can raise interesting philosophical questions - the morality of zoomans, fusion in general,
>People actually get hurt and even die; Gems have to respond to that
>Gems can really be alien - barbie doll anatomy can be used (sparingly), they can show them actually hurt humans by accident
>Idea of Gems being "better" than humans is explored more deeply, as well
>So much goddamn fanservice
>Like seriously, Amethyst would be 500% lewder than she is now.
>Combine that with sexuality being something Gems have to learn whrn interacting with humans...
>And don't even get me started on fusions.

>Dialogue vs. language
Here's a very good example.
m.youtube.com/watch?v=jp8YVj94ao8

Avatar the Last Airbender
> Much darker tone
> Aang is motivated into avenging his people's genocide
> Bloodbending is frequently used
> Katara avenges her mother's death
> Aang actually kills Ozai in the end instead of a lion turtle ex macina

Archer
> It's basically Kim Possible but they work full time

Archer becomes a lot shittier.

I dunno where Korra falls on the "for kids" vs "for adults" spectrum, since it's kind of in the middle. A more adult Korra would have been neat, a more kiddie Korra couldn't have handled the themes even as well as it did in its own poor way.

Batman the Brave and the Bold for adults just loses all of its charm.

Of course it was. Children like creepy monsters and fear more than we give them credit for. I vividly remember a time I was forced to live with my grandparents because we were having our house reformed and every afternoon I'd watch Courage and love every minute of it.

>A mature WoY wouldn't work, it would go against what the series is about. Unless it becomes a fan dark AU where Wander is fucked up but not in the funny and endearing way.
I think you could make a TVAM show about friendship and having an optimistic and energetic main character trying to solve problems. There'd be more blood, the action sequences would be harsher, Dominator would be one hell of a lot dangerous and there'd be a lot more of adult humor. In the right hands you could make it work, specially if you make the world around Wander much more mature while Wander stays childlike.

One of the bounty hunters at the bar did call Jack "a tough S.O.B" if that's any consolation.
