cant agree harder.
though there would be no reason to have repeated appearances by scrooge mcmouse and his fucking adorable daughter, and ratigan could only be used so many times without being overused

It'd be hard to outdo Ratigan, but the show would lend itself well to a mystery-of-the-week style format with a new criminal every week and some huge case taking like 3 episodes for the season finale.

also weekly waifus

alright you got me
but am i the only one for whom the miss kitty mouse does nothing? that's like, what grandpas think is sexy

we all know who the real mouse waifu is

yeah, Olivia.
... in a few more weeks. she looks about 4 weeks old to me.
that bar wench you posted looks over 1 year old. that's way past breeding age

It'd be nice to see an Irene Adler adaptation that isn't a fucking love interest for once, she might work as a reoccurring antagonist on an episodic basis.

As based as Vicent Price was, Moriarty as a character concept was kind of just an overrated plot device, and even Ratigan's plan wasn't all that memorable. He's certainly not impossible to outdo, you just need a good writer who can craft a serviceable Big Bad for a mystery-driven narrative, that might not be getting carried by a larger-than-life performance.

>Not wanting the loli wanting to become a great detective.
user you fucked up.

Well the premise of True Detective season 3 is still unknown now.

Huh, I guess she might
and fair enough he's a genius inventor so he might actually continue to be useful

I would say Big Hero Six, but that's already in the works. Is Bionicle Sup Forums, if so, then that.

...

Out of all older Disney movies and their characters they've revamped for TV in the 90s, why the Hell wasn't this as well?

It doesn't need to follow Bernard and Bianca, since they got married, but whole new assemble of characters doing rescues around the world. Maybe even crossover with the Rescue Rangers.

I could see that, also crossing with the Rescue Rangers would be a nice special two part episode.

Ok, when I was a kid and how human Basil and mouse Basil were both going to meet their versions of Sherlock. Well, I just assumed that they were sort of mirroring each other's actions and while the mice were on that case, well a case for the humans was happening and followed things along beat for beat.

You are now picturing Sherlock Holmes in a fistfight against a jacked up Vincent Price.

Well Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers is the closest to a GMD show.

actually rescue rangers WAS going to be a rescuers tv show, but it got changed in preproduction.
i still headcanon that Chip and/or Dale are ex-RAS

>Ok, when I was a kid and how human Basil and mouse Basil were both going to meet their versions of Sherlock.

They couldn't pull off a decent mystery in 80 minutes, what makes you think they could have done it in 22 minutes once a week?

...

I remember during the opening and end, or maybe I am manufacturing memories, that The Great Mouse Detective lived right underneath the house of Sherlock Holmes. I also remember Watson going to meet Sherlock at the same time Basil was going to meet Mouse Detective, whose name slips my mind at the moment.

yeah they lived below sherlock holmes' house, that's just how it is in the basil of baker street books, although disney had to play their cards a little closer to their chest because of dumbass US copyright law (star trek ran into something similar, the reason Moriarty had to spend so long in the holodeck's memory before being freed)
so what you were trying to say is 'watson was meeting sherlock at the same time their mouse counterparts did the same". i get you. you just jumbled the names a bit.

Hey, bait.jpg poster.

There was no mystery, the villain was known from the very beginning.

...

The mystery was why did Ratigan kidnap Scrooge McMouse to begin with

Aw, ya made a good point dere user, I ehh I can't debate that.. Ya fooled me pretty good..

Oh, just one more thing...

What was the deal with putting this in a kid's movie?

I mean, what though.

How about a direct Moriarty counterpart? I know Ratigan was a little bit of that, but I'd love to see a more toned down sort of mouse character.

Stuff like this was okay for kids in the 80s. Storywise...atmosphere I guess? It helps sell the seedy pub setting.

Surprised they never did anything with Bolt. I mean fuck, that in-universe TV show was better then the actual movie.

Yes. That one mouse girl at the end.

2 E Z

none of us found it sexy. it was hopelessly outdated in style.

i'd like to see a Mycroft or Sigerson

god dammit modern standards, let us have fun

When I was young (and dumb) I thought that was the stripper from the club, who got a liking to Dawson.

damn she was sexy.

seriously.
like two more weeks, and it's time to put a litter in her

>cartoon animals are DEFINITELY 100% biologically accurate
You are of the worst kind of autists.

wait i forget, are autistic people the ones who don't get it when people joke, or...

That would have been ADORABLE.

If they did a full series, do you think she would have married him eventually?

That's a big girl

For you

If I was the writer, yes.

Isn't this getting a tv series though?

the announcements keep getting delayed, the joke is that it doesnt have a series since it might be cancelled

>reminder Treasure Planet was all set to have a TV series
>reminder the movie's poor box office performance killed it
>reminder 2D theatrical animation is dead

Same with Atlantis. Alas, what could have been.

i wouldnt have bothered to watch it, until I heard about the gargoyles crossover.

im not talking about the tv series that was using the sequel as its canon, lore and setting

im talking about at tv series using this movie as the base instead

youtube.com/watch?v=rYuFHLezUyo

what in god's name do you mean?
and it wasn't based on the sequel, it was based on the third one.. i think. or the fourth. if not the fourth, then the fourth one was based on the tv series. which was pretty nice in its own way

what the fuck is this and why have i never heard of it before
it appears to be Lupin III but dogs

I kinda wish that Felix the Cat: The Movie had been successful enough to spawn a new TV series if only to see how deranged it would have been.

Sherlock Hound and Miyazaki worked on part of the series; it temporarily shut down production and he moved on to other things.

The entire series is on Youtube but is out of order for some weird reason.

You just know that there would have been a Tarzan crossover.

they were planning a series of films where the 5 of them travel south america looking for treasure but the film underperformed in the box office and the followup movies were scrapped

i dont know what kind of shit youve been watching but theres literally only 3 films, the first, the second, and the christmas special
the tv cartoon came after the second film, and christmas special uses the canon from the tv cartoon

Meeeh sorry user. I was hooked pretty good by her as a kid. Probably my earliest "I feel funny" character. Thank goodness I didn't turn furry from it

Aaaah stop reminding me of these crimes! Why can't we have nice things?

Hell, Atlantis was the first movie I ever saw in theaters

Inb4 in a sequel that would've turned out to be Mouse Irene running a huge ruse.

I wish that sequel existed.
