I just cant seem to find any good horror movies. Maybe im just too picky, but all i want from a horror movie is to spook me to the cores. I want to not be able to sleep at night because i am mentally scarred after. Does anyone know of such movies?
What are the scariest horror movies ever ? Regardless of genre, year made etc.
The Boy is a recent horror movie and probably one of the best ever made.
Dead Silence is also a goodie.

Woman in Black 1989

this bitch lookin fishface fuck never should've been casted for anything
>BWAUGH
Dominic Bell
Spoorloos
Xavier Gutierrez
I hate to say it but horror games are scarier
Leo Foster
You're just scared of puppets. That's a unique type of fear and may not apply to everyone
David Bennett
>I want to not be able to sleep at night because i am mentally scarred after Then you will need to regress into a child.
Jason Perez
This is true to some extent, i was playing outlast and holy shit, tbats exactly the feeling i mean. I was too scared to progress at some parts in the game, and exactly that feeling made the games masterpieces.
Still would be nice if there were movies too
Kayden James
Will give The Boy a look, thanks
Juan Powell
Horror movies won't scare you past the age of 12. That being said, good horror movies are Halloween, The Thing, The Exorcist, The Shining, Jaws, Evil Dead, The Omen, American Werewolf in london, Alien, Poltergeist, The Descent, Ringu, IT, Let the Right One In, Nightmare on Elm Street, Lake Mungo, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Blackcoat's Daughter, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Fright Night, The Grudge, Shutter, Sauna, Dog Soldiers, Trick R Treat, Pet Sematary, Haute Tension, Martyrs, The VVitch.
Leo Thomas
Ju-On Rec
are my favorites. Other than that i prefer true psychological thrillers more. They scare the shit out of me and make me feel so bad and uncomfortable no Horror movie can match that.
Nolan Young
Another recent good one
Dominic Ross
If this doesn’t disturb you, you are probably mentally ill
Oliver Flores
I guess you are right, i remember the days when I was a kid and haloween made me unable to sleep. I was dreaming about that damn house all day. And even though i was scared like a baby back then, looking back i really enjoyed that adrenaline kick i used to get then.
Colton James
Brilliant film, probably classed as a thriller though
Nathaniel Myers
perhaps i can interest u in some hard terror flicks
Kevin Perry
The Grifter fucked me up for life
Austin Davis
how can someone who usually browse Sup Forums find that or any other film disturbing? I just don't understand, you go on /gif/ and every single thing there that isn't porn is scarier than any fiction you could see
David Morris
>Horror movies won't scare you past the age of 12
That's probably because you're not immersed enough. Make sure all lights are closed, use a picrelated, and maybe smoke some weed nigga
That being said, one the few movies I had to stop watching was Ju-on (original jap movie, the Grudge is the american remake) because I was too scared
Brayden White
I rewatched The Exorcist recently and I still find it very spoopy. Having interesting characters you care about like Karras also helps.
Mason Sanders
Wish I never saw it. Why the fuck did you have to bring that up you fuck.
Daniel Sullivan
Martys isn't scary imo. It's just a movie about a girl that keeps getting attacked/sliced up
Samuel Turner
It’s not the gore aspect of martyrs that is scary. Even then, gore in films is often worse than real life
Angel Baker
>picrelated
Charles Edwards
pic not related.
Cameron Hall
I know this is a meme. But I unironically watched a video on YouTube, (the name involved witches?), which involved sporadic found footage shit and it fucked me up for a while
Levi Bell
I'll give you a hidden gem, watch the innkeepers.
Julian Lopez
>I just cant seem to find any good horror movies I got you buddy, go watch horrible reviews for excellent horror and disturbing movie recommendations youtube.com/user/lbhorrorReview
Julian Perez
It depends, i live alone and everytime i watch a horror movie i do it in the dark and usually late at night but i hear what you're saying. I don't know, i've watched so many horror movies that getting scared isn't really possible anymore, but i can appreciate if a mvoie is a good movie. And you're right, i meant to say Ju-On on my previous post but typed The Grudge instead, although the Grudge isn't terrible, like say, The Ring 2.
Henry Walker
>It’s not the gore aspect of martyrs that is scary. Is the unanswered question? >gore in films is often worse than real life yeah sometimes, because they get away with things that you couldn't see in real life, like the girl getting perfectly skinned alive
Carson Kelly
The Grifter is old fake shit. 2009 ~ old.
Some 12 year old on Sup Forums earlier made it and said in his biography that he made it up.
Have you played Alien Isolation? That shit was pretty terrifying, the Alien adapts to your strategies so you don't always have the crutch of throwing something to lure it away. And you can't be sure if this time will be the time it figures out what you're doing. The Working Joes are pretty spooky too.
