Why didn’t the rebels pay off Han Solo’s debt to Jabba?

Why didn’t the rebels pay off Han Solo’s debt to Jabba?

Why didn’t Han Solo pay off Jabba with the reward money he got from them after rescuing the princess?

That's...actually a good question.

He splurged one more time on drugs and hookers to get it out of his system before becoming respectable. It's in the EU.

Greedo addresses this when he points out that it's too late for payment. Jabba was personally insulted by getting stiffed, so Han's bounty was just as much about recouping his losses as making Han pay for that outrage. It's not like he needed the money; it was personal

>Why didn’t the rebels pay off Han Solo’s debt to Jabba?

Han wasn't part of the rebellion after Ep 4 just a rando smuggler

>Why didn’t Han Solo pay off Jabba with the reward money he got from them after rescuing the princess?

There is definitely an EU explanation for this shit but I dont remember I think he just gambled it away

>Why didn’t the rebels pay off Han Solo’s debt to Jabba?
The Rebellion was a organization dedicated to overthrowing the Empire. It was not a payment service for smugglers who dump their shipment at the first sign of an Imperial cruiser.

>Why didn’t Han Solo pay off Jabba with the reward money he got from them after rescuing the princess?
He was about to do that but then Hoth happened.

Bc a Lannister always pays his debts.

Badass stone cold hustler Han Solo doesn't.

Except that George thought it was a good idea to re-insert this scene. youtube.com/watch?v=ss0M_EUNbdA

That's where he was going at the beginning of Empire Strikes Back but then he got distracted by the Empire attacking the rebels

Except Han was going to pay him? He said so in the beginning of Episode V for why he was trying to leave and at the beginning of VI when trying to bargain with Jabba that he was on his way but then the Empire attacked Hoth.

>Han wasn't part of the rebellion after Ep 4 just a rando smuggler

He worked with the rebels for a few years between IV and V, that being another reason for his delay in paying Jabba.

>jabba sends bounty hunters to mos eisley
>also goes himself for some reason

The special edition scenes make no sense, it might as well be EU

Holy shit that looks so bad.

It’s because he only took 248 space bucks for lunch, gas and tolls

Han didn't give a fuck about Jabba until he ran into another bounty hunter just before the events of TESB. They say this in the movie. It's why he plans on leaving before the Imperial attack. Then the events of the film happen and he gets frozen in carbonite.

>He was about to do that but then Hoth happened.

The battle of Hoth happened THREE YEARS after A New Hope

The whole film on Bluray looks bad. Everyone has a slight blurry aura around them because Lucas originally filmed the Tatooine scenes with a soft focus but sharpened it up digitally. It gives all the people a weird motion blur.

Because he's a scoundrel. You think when i get an infusion of money I immediately put it all into my debt? Fuck no!

If you watch ESB, Han was about to leave to pay when the Empire found their base. Leia and Han had a whole argument about Han leaving. She called him a scruffy looking nerf-herder.

Empire strikes back is three years after a New hope though

That means he waited three years, and did nothing

ESB takes place theee years after a New hope

Why didn’t he do it in the three years in between?

Because he didn't give a shit until they ran into another bounty hunter. This is said in the movie.

Takes a long time to travel around the galaxy user and Han is a busy man

That’s retarded, he ran into Greedo in ANH and that didn’t make him change his mind? Dude almost shot him

Because he was busy nerf herding. Duh, that's why she said that.

He didn't have the money when Greed came, user. And then after he got the money, like I already said, he got wrapped in up in the Rebellion and never had a reason to until he ran into another bounty hunter. He had basically became respectable, but then had a moment where his seedy past came back to haunt him so now he is going to leave and take care of it.

>Why didn’t the rebels pay off Han Solo’s debt to Jabba?
Why should that be their responsibility?

They were busy in the time between. The Rebellion moved, and Han has a literal cargo ship. He is basically a professional mover.

>Why didn’t the rebels pay off Han Solo’s debt to Jabba?

Because he's not black and they're not the United States government.

Good thing Solo: A Soy Wars Story won't have any of that

>Except Han was going to pay him?
Why do you people keep putting question marks at the end of these type of correcting-statements?

Proof he didn't really want a giant lizard in the beginning. This is why this scene doesn't belong
