Are we all in agreement that this is the worst episode of Black Mirror thus far?

Not even bottom 5

One of the top 3 of this shitty season.

Where the OI WOT IF posters @@@@?!

Wot if your daughter was a tablet?

Madness, innit

how could you possibly think that

Because Black Mirror has some truly dogshit episodes and this isn't one of them.
I can't even think of anything wrong with it that stands out

it felt like the only "classic" black mirror episode of the season

>USS Callister
ok but too contrived

>crocodile
boring and the future tech offered no reflection on humanity's relationship with technology

>hang the DJ
this one had a good twist

>metalhead
same problem as crocodile

>black museum
also very contrived, and i didn't like how they are trying to establish that all episodes are happening within the same universe. this is one of the things that makes black mirror great - every episode can start with a clean slate with no restrictions, and now apparently they are trying to stop that

>>hang the DJ
>this one had a good twist

Idk I think none of them do anymore because the viewer expects that now. They literally said "hurr durr what if we're in a simulation" so it wasn't really surprising.

Liked Crocodile, Arkangel and Black Museum the most I think.

WOT IF MEMES POSTED YOU CRIKEY INNIT

The twist wasn't the thing that made Hang the DJ good, it was the only episode with a coherent plot and likeable characters.
And Black Museum was by far the worst episode of Black Mirror yet

i definitely expected a twist of some sort but what the twist was caught me off guard. plus i thought it was kind of cute and it was nice to have a happy ending once in a while for a show that specializes in being bleak and miserable

no it was good, I agree with this user

>Liked Crocodile, Arkangel and Black Museum the most I think.
That's a pretty stupid bait.

I admit it was nice to watch but don't think I'm gonna rewatch it ever again unline the others.

What makes Black Museum the worst? The story of the masochistic doctor was top tier and written by Penn Jilette if I read the credits correctly

>We're just gonna inject this microchip directly into your child's brain. it's completely irreversable. this is a good idea

And your favourite this season was?
>inb4 Metalhead

>knowing where your infants are and stopping your teenagers from getting into drugs is a bad thing

WOW

>What makes Black Museum the worst?
It was literally Goosebumps + some of the most retarded SJWism tacked on.

Metalhead was good because the goodie wins.

It was negro revenge porn nothing more.

Hang the DJ. Not a favourite, it was just much much less shit than everything else.

Jesus Christ do you have to watch everything through your Sup Forums coloured lense? Just leave the goggles at home for once, the nigger stuff was literally a fraction of the episode. But I guess the racemixing in "monkey needs a hug" was a thorn in your eye too.

The doctor was the only decent part but that was barely 1/3 of the episode.

The second act was about the person living in someones brain, which is already a retarded concept. The idea of a show about the dangers of technology requires the technology to make sense. Nobody in the real world would ever consider letting another person live inside their brain so there is no message to the episode.

The third act was what made it so terrible, it was just bullshit revenge porn. The entire premise was identical to White Bear only they made a point of making the guy innocent so any ethical/moral questions raised go immediately out the window.

>Sup Forums been discussing metalhead, callister and arkangel for weeks
>nobody ever talks about hang the dj
I thought it was cute

everything is so predictable
in the middle of the episode i already knew what was going to happen at the end, except that i didn't expect that to be the literal end
i was thinking like "yeah, she will find out what the mother did and run away but then what?"
and just ended there

I liked the general athmosphere of the ep, the narrator's sleaziness, the hot dessert backdrop and all that. It's one of the comfiest eps imo.

>p-p-Sup Forums

i think what i like about black mirror is its ability to examine society's relationship with technology. we normally think that we are driving it but in a lot of ways it is becoming more and more apparent that there is definitely some amount of it driving us. the pain doctor subplot, as well as the execution masochism didn't seem to offer any of that.

pain doctor was a neat story but there's not a whole lot to unpack there because the technology is so absurd that it's unlike anything we as viewers can relate to, and there are no reflections on its impact on society as a whole. it doesn't surprise me it was made into a mini-story

execution masochism also had completely out-of-this-world technology that offers no social commentary and the entire plot felt like it was deliberately leading up to a massive vindication about being anti-racist. i hate Sup Forums and their retarded ilk, and if that doctor were a real person i would agree that he is a despicable piece of human trash that deserved everything he got. it's just that the story itself wasn't that interesting.

the only redeeming part of this episode was the part about the woman being put in her boyfriend's brain, because it was essentially a commentary of the trials and tribulations of a serious relationship, and how familiarity even among your most cherished loved ones breeds contempt.

>le cartoon evil white man tortures black man for pleasure
>literally talks about 'fake news'
>black man wrongly incarcerated
>badass hacker black girl saves the day
>tortures white man for revenge

You're right there's nothing political about this

this episode had kind of a flimsy premise when they had to force in the edgiest fucker ever into the girl's life to turn her into a dumb slut. not like that kind of thing couldn't happen without the technology.

>episode literally culminates in a scenario about evil white racists paying to torture a virtual nigger
>hur dur you're pol
Are you just trying to derail the thread or genuinely retarded?

>over-the-top helicopter parenting stops your child from developing into a mature adult

the point of the episode is that all the bad shit that befalls her is her mom's fault for avoiding teaching her daughter how to fend for herself and if you do no recognize that i guarantee you will ruin any children you have

No its not it doesn't show that at all you make that up right now.

> evil white racist
The narrator wasn't a racist, just an opportunist. He would've done the same if the prisoner had been white.

>replying to lowest effort prepubescent babby bait

i bet your parents also helicopter parented you, it would explain why you don't notice the damage

But the prisoner wasn't white, he was black.
These weren't events that actually happened, it's fictional. Some writer sat down and decided to make the prisoner black.
Do you honestly believe there were no political motivations behind it?

His motivation literally changes nothing, brainlet. It's still banal interracial revenge porn.

I didn't like that we didn't really see the extent of "abnormal" the daughter was/should've been in the end. She literally lived the first, what, 10 years of her life without being able to even see negative emotion on other people's faces?

She seemed a tiny bit off and emotionally unresponsive but dunno I think that would've made for a more interesting story, highlighting that. But I guess it was about the mother after all so no room.

>reddit spacing

Seems your mom spent too much time with her black boyfriend.

>aww poor me i just wanna be able to jerk off while watching a nigger get electrocuted, and now a fictional tv show is implying that *I* might be a bad guy! im so persecuted! im gonna go watch some lauren southern videos

>le cartoon evil white man tortures black man for pleasure
Some of the most sadistic people on earth are white. Should he have been black?
>literally talks about 'fake news'
I hear someone say 'fake news' every single day, and most of the time that person is white.
>black man wrongly incarcerated
Thousands of people are falsely incarcerated every year. Again, should he have been white? Would that have satisfied your autism?
>badass hacker black girl saves the day
Her dad was black, so it makes sense that she was. Also the show is all about technology, so her being a hacker seems appropriate. Is it that she was black AND a hacker that triggers you?
>tortures white man for revenge
I would torture anyone who did that to my father, regardless of race.

So no, I don't see this as an "attack on white people" or however you are contextualizing it in your mind. And I agree with user, It's time to take the goggles off, sweetie.

Arkangel wasn't too bad. The premise is utterly ridiculous, but otherwise it's watchable. Certainly not worse than Metalhead or Croc.

Why argue with "the ebil white racist" then?

Seeing an innocent black man on death row is more common so it was the obvious choice.
So yes I know it wasn't a coincidence the prisoner was black, it just doesn't matter to the story. Just like it didn't matter that the girl in Crocodile was a pajeeta.

>reddit spacing meme
>proceeds to do the same spacing
You cheeky bastard

i agree that the episode had wasted potential. IMO more bad things should have happened to the daughter caused by her ignorance of danger. it was still the best episode of the season for reasons in

> the shit that befalls her

The episode literally wasn't about that, it's all about the mother. She was never in danger or anything, what you're saying doesn't pertain to the content of the episode (though it ofc is a logical conclusion)

i think this is because the episode is aimed at parents. it's meant to be a wake up call that you can't obsessively monitor your kids development, and doing so will probably screw them up way more than getting spooked by a scary dog or seeing a violent movie

That's not reddit spacing.

This is.

ive been posting the same way since people were unironically posting "epic win", "reddit spacing" is invented by redditors, for redditors

you would know that, right, my fellow redditor? ;)

>it just doesn't matter to the story
Of course it matters. Leave the genderfluid race-free utopia in your mind and join the rest of us in real world. Taken without race considerations it's shitty revenge porn nobody cares about. Make it a black/white thing and this episode is on every progressive twitter for a month. It's not bad because it has racial component, it's bad because it's the only thing it has.

It doesn't matter it is wrong so sort it out buddy, got it?

Reddit spacing is putting unnecessary spaces everywhere. You criticized someone for doing exactly what you did in the post where you were criticizing them. I thought you were shitposting but now I see you're just retarded.

No reddit spacing is leaving a gap between the line of the post you are replying to.

>it's a "reddit calls reddit reddit" episode

>t. reddit

It's leaving a gap between after replies and after quotes. Either way it's a meme because people have always replied this way on here before Reddit was a thing. The latter makes more sense though because you have to put space after quotes on Reddit to mark the line as not part of the quote.

Close but nope. The first episode of S1 is total shit. At least Arkangel was directed well (by Jodie Foster of all people)

No it's not it's leaving a gap after the post you are replying to retard.

I've been here since 2009. Reddit spacing is not a thing. Go back where you came from

>reddit expert

No I am a reddit posting expert though

>If I keep repeating the same thing maybe people will think I'm right
You stupid nigger I've explained to you how you're wrong now swallow the load and fuck off

>>t. reddit
ok reddit

Yes, even SJW hate it because it miss represented their precious abortion pills.

But still it could just be a multi use pill but idk

You are doing exactly that though you don't get it, ask the rest of the thread what fucking reddit posting is its not what you say it is

...

>It's leaving a gap between after replies and after quotes. Either way it's a meme because people have always replied this way on here before Reddit was a thing. The latter makes more sense though because you have to put space after quotes on Reddit to mark the line as not part of the quote.

Shouldn't you be hovering above your kids, single momstie?

Crocodile and Metalhead were much worst.

>wot if digital avatars were sentient: the series

it's time to smother this series with a pillow already

everyone using the r word in here is a fat nigger

>mother is so controlling that she immediately starts using the arkangel program as soon as her daughter becomes suspicious
>daughter over-reacts and kills her mother because the mother scared off her druggy boyfriend

It wasn't believable at all. At worst you'd just have a mother-daughter argument about why the mother is using an outlawed system to spy on her. Murder? Give me a break.

>r word
shut up, cuck

>cuck
shut up, r word

Are we all in agreement that this is the worst thread of Black Mirror thus far?

Best this season
