Sneed and Chuck: It Takes 3 to Tango

step one: remove everything

imdb is a popularity contest rigged by Nolan Fans. Ever wondered why Shawshank is on top? Nolan Fans tried to upvote TDK and ruined the rating.

Films I propose be removed:
>Schindler's List - Jew shit
>The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King - bad ending(s)
>Fight Club - Reddit garbage
>Goodfellas - more like shitfellas
>The Matrix - Overrated tranny propaganda
>City of God - Literally what?
>Life is Beautiful - Huh?

This, those flicks fucking suck.

Remove all of those other then Goodfellas and LotR trilogy

>City of God - Literally what?
>Life is Beautiful - Huh?

remove literally all of it besides Fellowship and GFI.

Thankfully, a fucktard like you doesn't make the big decisions. Your taste is shit.

Add Raging Bull and 8 1/2.
Remove judenshit and Soy Wars.

Sup Forums number one and the only one is
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
it's the only movie that had true influence on this board

Proposed additions:
>Mousehunt (1997)
>Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)
>Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
>The Shining (1980)
>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
>Die Hard (1988)

You leave Goodfellas right where it is, user

shit taste

1 br2049
2 - 10 star wars (reverse chronologically)
11 - 25 mcu films (without IM2 & 3)

>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
If you are going to add Kaufmankino at least go full retarded and choose Synecdoque instead.
Also the other movies fucking suck.

#1 should be Avatar the number 1 movie of all-time that changed cinema forever

Add Avatar and Taxi Driver, remove Inception

>We'll use IMDB's as a base
Literaly and unironically kill yourself

shawshank is a fine choice for #1 and i wouldn't argue it. i don't think i'd argue godfather 1 or 2 either. swap dark knight for rises because baneposting is objectively the best thing this board has ever done. 12 angry men, haven't seen, torrenting now to get an opinion. schindler's is fine, it's both pro- and anti-pol, so it deserves a spot. pulp fiction isn't really better than the sum of its parts, kill bill is better but i don't think any of tarantino should be here. best LOTR imo is the extended cut of 2 towers, has by far the most emotional resonance, swap rotk with that (which substituted cgi for emotion too often). GBU is just a great movie, no complains. fight club is forgettable. no arguments with fellowship. forrest gump has a degree of both simplicity and heart that really makes it succeed, i have no issues with it there. ESB i think is slightly inferior to ANH merely by the virtue that ANH did it first, and ANH change the genre like few others. inception is entertaining but not even nolan's best (that goes to the prestige, which i would put on this list). TT already mentioned. haven't seen cuckoos nest. goodfellas is entertaining but i dont know if its great. same for the matrix. haven't seen seven samurai. same comment as before for ESB. city of god is great kino, love that pick. same for seven. silence of the lambs is interesting because so much of the appeal is lector, but he's only on screen for 20 minutes, it feels like wasted opportunity rather than greatness. wonderful life is....eh, nostalgic, i guess. life is beautiful is really moving, like that pick.

suggested substitutes: lawrence of arabia, alien, the thin red line, amadeus, the fountain, the big lebowski, raiders of the lost ark, dr. no, la confidential, layer cake, snatch, grand budapest hotel, babel, pan's labrynth, 3:10 to yuma, and spaceballs

12 Angry Men is must watch

Polanski should be;
>Rosemary's Baby
>& Chinatown
instead of Schindler's list

Tokyo Story should be on there as well
& Psycho
& Texas Chainsaw Massacre
& if there's going to be any action/ adventure blockbusters it should be Mad Max 2

>haven't seen 12 angry men
>one flew over the cuckoos nest
>seven samurai

user... step it the fuck

I agree with Psycho and Rosemary's Baby. Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Mad Max 2 aren't that good

Fury Road is better than Road Warrior, dont be a contrarian

IMO, Texas Chainsaw Massacre is THE definitive/best horror film, if you discount The Shining & Rosemary's Baby as psychological thrillers.

Mad Max 1 is the contrarian position (that i'm actually inclined towards). Road Warrior is the objectively correct position held by everyone that had seen Mad Max films before Fury Road. Fury Road is the newfag position. Thunderdome is the meme position.

Mad Max= Mel Gibson. He's 100x more interesting in 1 & 2, than anyone in Fury Road.

Fury Road is a flick. One of the best flicks ever, but a flick nonetheless.

BR2049 is quintessential reddit neocinebuff fare, and it's a laughingstock to have it on the list instead of BR, which is not even a lock on any top 25 list.

FR is a glorified stunt demo with stupid, cliched characters and basically nothing but stunts. Cameron does stunts in the context of an actual movie with decent characters (sometimes), so there should be Cameron films, not video game-tier stunt fests.

TDKR must be 1st, no matter what, swap with avatar
to add
>Revange of the Sith - almost all the time it's brought/memed
>American Psycho, for dubs
>No Country for Old Men, anton threads
needs some mel gibson movies

Return of the king should not be on there at all, the scenes with the ghost army and legolas are too goofy.
Remove forest gump as well, jenny is a whore and it discusts me.
Instead of goodfellas i prefer A bronx tale.
I suggest adding Last of the mohicans and Goonies
Remove Avatar or ill kill you

empire strikes back and pulp fiction is shitty reddit core. move american psycho up and avatar, shawshank, and raiders down/out of the list

Every star wars ranking I've seen on here has put esb first

Agree on RotK, Forest Gump, and Avatar. Goonies didn't age well, though

>avatar, shawshank, and raiders down/out of the list
i agree with this but
>empire strikes back
Is still great whether reddit likes it or not dude
I still say avatar sucks ass and goodfellas is overrated. A bronx tale is far better

>Goonies didn't age well, though
Maybe i love it cause its such a boyhood classic but i still love it. That and stand by me.

bronx tale is ass. only the first 20 minutes are decent. stop trying to be a contrarian faggot

Remove Blade Reddit 2049
Add The Road Warrior

seriously, how many people here have seen 1957 12 Angry Men? That list is terrible, this might be an impossible task.

Seriously drop dead

I want anyone in this thread who hasnt seen it to watch this and realize how much of a faggot that guy is.
youtube.com/watch?v=TPxwBHoxHI8
A Bronx tale is amazing

I would say more than 60% of the board has seen that movie you child

>empire strikes back and pulp fiction is shitty reddit core
Star Wars has gotten more discussion on here in the last 5 years than any franchise ever. Like it or not, It is quintissential Sup Forums-core. Would you prefer nu-wars on the list? Because it has to be one of them.

>glaring ommissions
Ozu (Tokyo Story)
Ingmar Bergman (The Virgin Spring)
Herzog (Fitzcarraldo)
Woody Allen (Annie Hall)
Wes Anderson (Grand Budapest)
Lost in Translation
Miyazaki (Mononoke)
Polanski (Rosemary's Baby & Chinatown)

Bullshit. I'm older than you and I've seen it but no fucking way 60% has seen it, faggot.

A Bronx Tale is just the movie version of that picture of De Niro and his black kids with afros

>Wes Anderson (Grand Budapest)
this is good but not top 20 friend
Its still a fantastic movie though and far better than goodfellas.

fucking newfags fuck off

add:
Vertigo
Citizen Kane
81/2

remove:
Lord of the rings (all of them)
Star Wars

You seriously overestimate Sup Forums, it's probably more like 10% of people that have seen it. You'd end up with a list worse than reddit or imdb if you had to put films Sup Forums had seen though.

"no"
Fellowship is amazing and only an edge lord would say otherwise. same goes for ep 4 and 5

lol complaining about reddit is really quite rich

1. The Dark Knight Rises
2. The Cuckold
3. Avatar
4. Her
5. Womb
6. Leon the Professional
7. Lars and the Real Girl
8. Blade Runner 2049

Terrible list. There aren’t even 25 good movies.
Blade Runner 2049 is the only objectively good film ever made.

This has to be fake. Pulp fiction and fight club at the top jesus christ.

Sup Forums is an awful place surely this is not a surprise to you

embarrassing

It's from a 2011 strawpoll. This thread is at least having a discussion about it instead of letting all the fags vote anonymously

>There aren’t even 25 good movies
this

Move Pulp Fiction and The Grand Budapest Soytel down.

>Die Hard
should be on the list
>The Fountain
pretentious shit
>The Big Lebowski
normiecore
>3:10 to Yuma
pretty good, but not top 25
>Lost in Translation
shit
>Vertigo
should be on the list
>Citizen Kane
not really Sup Forumscore

Actual list, based on what I see here, not what I like
Order is bit random

1. TDKR (plane scene)
2. Avatar (countdown)
3. LotR 1/2/3 pcik any
4. Revange of the Sheev
5. No Country for Old Man
6. There Will Be Blood

16. Spiderman (riamiposting)
17. Die Hard 3 (nigger sign)

19. Mousehunt?
20. Tom Cruise movies. he's worshipped here
Can't think of more. Continue

>It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
>Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

Those can go

i literally said the first 20 minutes is the only decent part, which is what you posted a clip from. after the kid grows up the movie is fucking garbage.

This is fucking stupid and the actual end result list would end up being 25 films no one's ever heard of 15 of them won't even be in English and everyone will jerk off about how much amazing taste they have over the unwashed masses.

>decent
Its better than just decent and its still great after hes grown up dude

This is just sad.

Where is Return of the Jedi?

why the fuck isnt drive in there

>Avatar (countdown)
literally one guy
>Spider-Man
maybe Spider-Man 2
>Drive
should be on there
>Die Hard 3
my personal favorite, but die hard 1 is probably more of a classic
>The Thing
definitely should be on there

Not everyone in this board is an absolute leddit-tier embryo like you.

Problem Child 2

where's Tom Cruise?
there is at least 1 thread related to any of his movies every week. mostl common are eyes wide shut and vanilla sky, but rest is up too

I vote Vanilla Sky. EWS is just meme of the week because it's on Netflix this month

>13. IIIIIIIIIIIIIII1891091718191611€€€€&-@ (Sandler, 2016)

Why don't you make a poal poll?
It's easier, faster and it's harder to commit proxy faggotry on it.

polls are bad, people re-vote it
last time in 2017 movie woting 1 guy push Spiderman Homecoming into top by voting it 30 times

This isn't a democracy it's a discussion with multiple passes on crafting the perfect Sup Forums list. If you want Reddit trash then check out this

the first spider man should be on there, there are at least five
>nice costume did your husband make that for you
and
>tell the cops he was puerto rican
threads each day, and those scenes are both from spider man 1, not 2

Everybody likes 2 more than 1, though. That's the same reason I think Die Hard 1 should be on there and not Die Hard 3 even though 3 has more shitposts about it

Apacalypto
Vanilla Sky is a pile of shit, baby boomer wet dream shitfest. terrible fucking movie.

well then put them both on there fucker

remove Shawhank Redemption, add Apocalypse Now
remove Inception, add Blade Runner
Remove Life is Beautiful, add Vertigo

Coming up with a list in the first place is about as rebbit as you can get, but keep feeling smug.

apocalypto isnt that common there
more often i see that 1 war movie mel made, forgot title
eyes wide shut comes up since months
>"password"
threads
how about "Fifth Element"

This list is fucking garbage

>1 war movie mel made
Hacksaw Ridge?

How would you change it then, faggot

ye this, seen lot of threads about it
