Hellfire m8
Hellfire says hi.
Friends on the Other Side is a clear second though.
Be prepared man
This. I like it better than Hellfire.
I kinda wish there were more gospel-style villain songs.
Hellfire or bust.
>Black friend complains that the black person disney movie wasn't well received
>Note that they got the best villain song in any of the disney films
>They agree, but note that the rest of the movie was retarded
Princess and the Frog was pretty fucking lackluster, honestly. And what the fuck was with the stupid fly? Am I supposed to mourn the death of an incredibly annoying character?
When will Disney do a Hunchback live action and cast Peter Capaldi as Frollo?
I have a real weakness for "I Won't Say I'm in Love", but ironically enough, in the Spanish dub.
I grew up with it, and when comparing it to the original I still like it better.

I liked Poor Unfortunate Souls more.
Personally my fave was Savages, the proper offensive version, not the edited version for pansies
I'm tossing an underrated one into the ring.

Contextually it's perfect, and capitalizes on the moment everything goes wrong.
Facilier was wasted in it. He only had a few scenes, and they were undercut by a very by-the-numbers movie.
Also based Keith David.
>Forgetting about the real best Disney villain song
fpbp
All good but none of the have the power and quite frankly the balls that hellfire had. exept maybe poor unfortunate souls god damn what a voice
Shiny is good but needs the movie scene to sell it. Friends on the other side is just plain good.
Hellfire is cool but I agree with this man right here.
God the visuals in this movie were fucking phenomenal.
The musical version is better in my opinion though, it just feels stronger, both his voice and the instrumentals

Its a fun and oddly arousing song but it doesnt even break top 10
Holy shit is that Mandy Patinkin?
I'm just annoyed that the two main humans (who are both pretty hot) were frogs for almost the entire movie. I mean I'm not fond of humans turning into animals (for 90% of the movie) in general, but frogs in particular are really uninteresting (unless drawn realistically).
But yeah I was more interested in/cared more about the human characters.
Not to say that animal characters aren't as interesting; it was just the ones in TPATF were very dull.

Quick list your top 5 favorite villain songs of all time.
1. Oggy Boogie song
2. Friends on the other side
3. Be prepared
4. Shiny
5. Poor unfortunate Souls

Are you illiterate user
I guess I am
>shiny

Maybe they aren't eligible for an objective "best" tier, but I've always had a soft spot for Ratigan's songs. They easily drive home the emphasis on the "villain" part better than any others in the category by far, and not to mention Vincent Price could make a phone book sound eerily captivating.

1. Hellfire
2. Friends on the other side
3. Poor unfortunate souls
4. Be prepared
5. BIG AND LOUD
>Implying the huns weren't the real heroes fighting a decadent dynasty and liberating little girls and their dollies along the way
Both are amazing because they're dynamic and actually want to tell a story. By the end of them you get a clear idea of the evil maniacs you're dealing with.
They edited it?
They changed some words iirc
>liberating the soul from their decaying vessels, and free from all mortal chain and command
Huh maybe they are
Christ. How bad was the butchery?
Hellfire
Poor Unfortunate Souls
Friends on the Other Side
Everything else...

I want to fuck Keith David's voice.
Not too bad, but pretty noticeable since the song repeats words a lot.
Yeah it's been poisoned by the live action movie and Gaston being the second worst song in it.
Oh, it's great. But by design it can't really stand on its own.
Too bad Jafar had to wait until the sequel for a proper song.
What, the word savages? If the song that has "Here's what you get when races are diverse" and drumming up straight murder was toned down, I'm wondering what the hell was in the unbutchered version.
1. Hellfire
2. Friends on the Other Side
3. Still Alive
4. Mother Knows Best
5. Cell Block Tango
Not best but pretty good. Mostly because of Keith David.
You edgy faggots. That song sucks.
This is the only real answer
>Still Alive
>Cell Block Tango
>Disney Villain Song
Don't get me wrong, they're still good.
1. Hellfire
2. Be Prepared
3. Friends On The Other Side
4. Poor Unfortunate Souls
5. Savages
6. Oogie Boogie Song
7. Shiny
8. Gaston Tavern Song
Then again I am going by like the overall "consistency" of the song, having you drilled into your head about the villain's agenda.
Also,
>Cell Block Tango
That's not Disney nigger
>Here's what you get when races are diverse
Original line was "Their whole disgusting race is like a curse."
>Dirty shrieking devils!
Original line was "Dirty redskin devils."
B8
>not the superior loli version

1. Be Prepared
2. Hellfire
3. Cutting Edge
4. Oogie Boogie Song
5. Gaston

Aww shit, shoulda read the damn thread.
Amended list:
1. Hellfire
2. Friends on the Other Side
3. Mother Knows Best
4. Be Prepared
5. Poor Unfortunate Souls
This is how I feel about Poor Unfortunate Souls. Sherie Rene Scott is fucking magic.
Why would you make your racist character less racist?
It isn't like he's supposed "supposed" to be right.

I'm more bothered by the changed version, of at least first line. Because we've seen segregation and discrimination, and demonstrations against that discrimination being met with the lyrics in the changed version. I can get why the original seems bad, but with historical hindsight, the changed version seems worse.
I think people were just bothered by "redskin" specifically since it's considered an epithet. The first line did show up in the most recent anniversary soundtrack version.
But in a way that's why it's great, and encapsulates why Jafar is a good villain. It took a really great, loud, heroic song meant to build Aladdin up and make him look good, and twisted it into a humiliating display that showed Jafar's triumph.
Story wise it hits a perfect note, not to mention it's catchy.
>Snuff Out the Light
I liked the final version of ENG that we got, but this song makes me wonder what could have been.

"You're Only Second Rate" and "My Lullaby" from the straight-to-video sequels to Aladdin and Lullaby wouldn't make my top five list, but they're pretty good songs that no one remembers.
My top five would be
1. Poor Unfortunate Souls
2. Gaston
3. Friends on the other side
4. Hellfire
5. Be Prepared
Friends on the Other Side might be higher on the list if I hadn't heard it ten billion times when the movie came out. Hellfire is so different from other Disney villain songs I have trouble ranking it.
This Maleficent looks way too silly.
I get why they didn't want a racial slur in a Disney movie (and why the "they cut off your ears if they don't like your face" from Arabian Nights got changed), but I kind of don't like the villain explicitly being against racial diversity in those exact words. Seems a little on the nose.
>Original line was "Their whole disgusting race is like a curse."
I remember this.
>Original line was "Dirty redskin devils."
Not sure if I remember that.

>2 My lullaby.
>3 Hellfire.

>Be Prepared
>FoTS
>Poor Unfortunate Souls
That's just how it is anons. It's a power gap for anything else, yes - even Shiny.
Holy shit he has finger extensions.
>5. BIG AND LOUD
That wasn't Disney that was Warner Bros.
Eartha Kitt was criminally sexy, even when she was old her voice was fucking dark magic
You are right. Good thing was responding to >Quick list your top 5 favorite villain songs of all time
and not the OP or I sure would look foolish!
my fifth favorite disney is "In the dark of the night"
Actual best song coming through though:
thats not disney either
And so you are right. And now indeed i do look foolish
its alright
Dark of the Night I feel has really good vocals but the sheer goofiness of the visuals kinda ruins any menace Rasputin has. More stuff like the green devils coming from the phylactery and less dancing bugs probably would have been cool.

I know it's not cool to say anything positive about Frozen, but Disney actually made a love song into a stealth villain song. I fucking love that.
Lyrically it's trash.
