Justin and Dan are comedic geniuses to have created such a fresh and memorable character like Rick, whose beloved antics are a cut above the rest. Where Genndy failed, Justin and Dan will succeed in saving western animation.

Have you people ever actually taken classes on writing? Famous authors have written terrible shit and they're still remembered for their greater works because those greater works stood on their own. Whining and shit about a completely unrelated piece of writing done earlier in ones career does not mean that person is incapable of improving or just straight up writing something better.
I'd recommend going to Archive and downloading William Burroughs class lecture on Creative Reading and Creative Writing.
