No, he's doing what Thor should be able to do in most Marvel related media but people are too uncreative to use this fact and God it pisses me off

90% of the time Thor is just a dude with a hammer when he's the God of Thunder, mjolnir is just his weapon, he doesn't need it to control the elements.

Someone post the moment when he summons the storm.

He's become Super Asgardian Blue

he should get a super twitch so it doesn't look too cringy

Super Ass Guardian.

looks like he needs some eye drops

>Someone post the moment when he summons the storm.
This one?

>a guy literally immune to electricty with total control of storms on a cosmic level who can arm wrestle planets out of their orbit
>vs. some chick with lightning powers

who the fuck approved of this

The guy who realized that Thor would never hurt his 12x Granddaughter. The weather witches are his bastard children.

But Thor is holding back like 24h a day and she still can summon the wind.

Storm has total control of storms on a cosmic level as well. They're well-matched in that regard.

She's also a candidate for Sorceress Supreme for...some reason.

Would you say that MCU Thor has the same power level as DCEU gods or higher?

Remembering that SS vilains died to a normal bomb and guns, while Ares died to a lighting.

>She's also a candidate for Sorceress Supreme for...some reason.
Storm has ties to African mysticism

The lower image really emphasizes how close together Chris' eye are.

One of her ancestors was a Sorceress Supreme but Storm herself never learned magic. She shouldn't have been included.

God, I'm such a sucker for glowing eyes.
THANK YOU MISTER WAITITI FOR REMEMBERING WHAT THOR IS GOD OF.

>She's also a candidate for Sorceress Supreme for...some reason.
she has an incredibly high magic talent and affinity. I think one story suggested she was amplifying her mutant powers with magic?

She just never learned magic seriously.
Or more generally ever trained her powers seriously.
She should be able to go full Weather Report at this point!

What's the over/under on this sequence being underwhelming as shit? Because the "character showing their true power" scenes have been pretty underwhelming recently.

over 9000 upboats

not enough lightning. I hope they fix that.

eh...too much and it end up looking bad. Look at BvS and WW, the final fights were a mess

big trouble in little Asgard?

If only Fox and Marvel would learn to play nice. It would be hilarious if Thor did open a portal to summon Storm from the X-men films.

He's just booting up. The lighting will only go wild once he unleashes it.

This looks really good.
That said, I've been reading Lee/Kirby Thor, and he hardly ever uses lightning. I just got to the introduction of Ego and I can't remember the last time it happened. Although he does use wind a lot.

I can't blame them for playing it up on the big screen. I mean, lightning is really cool.

sitting out and watching thunderstorms is one of my favorite things to do. I have a lot fantastic memories centered around thunerstorms

AND THIS
IS TO GO
EVEN FURTHER BEYOND

VALHALLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

There's a middle ground between the little tiny sparks on Thor in the trailer, and the Electric Boogaloo Extravaganza that was the Doomsday fight.

Thor is finally embracing his title of Thunder Superman after abandoning the title of Thunder Hulk.

When Storm is capable of using her weather powers on a planet without an atmosphere, we will talk. Until then, Storm is vastly inferior to Thor in terms of weather manipulation.

Thor could probably depower Storm entirely if he felt like it. He's Gaia's son after all

Its honestly annoying how they make it seem like Thor's entire ability to fly is dependent on Mjolnir when he could had been flying Storm/Red Tornado style.

uh, but that's how he is in the comics. It's why he has the cosmic goats that fly him around right now

There have been occasions that Thor had achieve flight without Mjolnir but it is a rare occurrences. Too many writers think Thor's ability to manipulate the weather is tied to Mjolnir. Too many think he can't fly when he should be capable of doing so because of his weather manipulating powers.

Thor, being myth, it's ok for his powers to fluctuate a bit. He can summon lightning without his hammer but fly? well maybe slowly by making the wind carry him, but he would never be able to fly like he can with Mjolnir.

Although people have forgotten most of Mjolnir's powers these days, he could teleport, negate magic, redirect magic, transform magic. Now it's just a strong hammer, and I find that dissapointing

Generally Thor's flight ability is tied to Mjolnir. IIRC in the original comics he had to "throw" Mjolnir to fly. The MCU is only trying to be accurate to the orginals.

Why did he cut his hair?

I like the idea of him being able to do everything without Mjollnir, except he SUCKS at God Powers and takes him a lot of concentration and time to use his powers without Mjollnir.

I thought in the first movie Odin took his powers away and tied them to the hammer, and a similar situation is also the reason why Beta Ray Bill and Whor can have the same powers.

>negate/redirect/transform magic
Any energy really

Don't forget that he also used it to travel through time and to different dimensions.

no

He has the same haircut as the Hulk so I'm assuming his captors did it.

How about the times she controlled solar wind and other space phenomena? I mean you wouldn't talk shit like this if you actually read the comics.... right, user?

MCU Thor looks stronger than DCEU Wondy.

I get being against Marvel's modern diversity push but are people really getting so overzealous they'll shit on minority characters with more than 30 years of established history?

Yes

I don't have it but Thor kissed Storm in Contest of Champions 2 and literally took her breath away

It's either his mummy power, his daddy power, or a combo of both.

Incidentally previs footage shows him doing this while fighting Hulk.

Oshtur likes her, apparently.

I am hoping we get to see Wanda go full Chaos Magic in IW or A4, with red to match Thor's blue.

Hemsworth is such a shitty "actor" he didn't want to wear the wig. Now he neither looks nor acts like Thor. Such dedication to his work and career.

fuck off, Hemsworth is a decent actor and the reason he cut his hair is for being in a gladiator battle, just like hulk

That's the in-universe reason. The real reason is that he can't be assed to be uncomfortable for a few hours a day, even if he's getting paid millions.

source or gtfo. He had long hair for 4 movies, he didn't cut it for no reason
