>Mom, Dad I'm going out with Asami now
>That's great sweetie, but just remember some people can be assholes about this kind of thing
>UH WOW, FUCK YOU TOO, BIGOT!
Nice that they kept her as schizo as ever.

shit

Korrasami has to be the most minimalist yuri ship I've ever seen.

Why is it so popular again?

As we all know the best way to generate interest in a topic is to feign internet outrage and/or insult the original fans of said topic by completely changing all the characteristics and mannerisms of the characters

I owned this for weeks? I know Sup Forums shared it last week anyway.

she later admitted she acted like a shit

Because yurifags are the most obnoxious faggots that have ever touch a computer and they took over a shrinking fanbase.

Literally only because lesbians

It has nothing else going for it and Korra has to go wildly out of character to make it work

Any user wanna give me a run down of what's happened?

Protip - it doesn't actually count unless you say sorry to the person.

Because both parties are different kinds of hot.

It makes me sad. As much as I enjoy the hotness, it's appeal is ruined by their lack of interesting traits.

>your thoughts
I think the several 400+ threads full of crying autists is answer enough, don't you?

More like Turd Wars

Korra is gay now, Kya is gay, Avatar Kyoshi is retroactively gay, Firelord Sozin hated gays cuz he's the bad guy and they're on their way to meet Sokka's husband

Also Korra's decision to open spirit portals has pissed off the humans and the spirits and a war is brewing or something but who cares gay gay gay gay gay

why dont you try that without the retarded shit and salt

Not enough lesbo/10

lets let her meet up with her parents again first

wheredoyouthinkyouare.jpg
if the never ending reeing over female writers hasnt stopped yet why didnt you think this would

>Sokka's husband
what

ok so korra and asami kissed and then said when they first realized they liked the other that way, when she was in the chair for korra, and during the three years for asami. they came out to korra's parents and they were happy but told her maybe to keep it to herself because that their culture and korra got offended and they left.

at the rc portal they met the airbenders and a guy who said he owned the land and wanted to make an amusement park in the spirit world. bolin and mako arrest a guy from a new gang whose leader can chi block

kya recognizes korra and asami are a thing and tells them that the water tribe keeps in to family and friends only, kyoshi was bi and really coudnt do much either, and sozin was a homophobe in adition to genocider

the chi blocker dude attacks the portal on orders of the dude who owns the property and the krew stops him but he gets mutated by a pissed off spirit and korra and asami come out to their friends by korra kissing a downed asami. the mutated dude wants revenge
the end

>Sokka's husband
Why am I even surprised at this point?

did you fall for that holy shit

listen if we didn't get triggered by literally nothing we wouldn't be any better than tumblr

Thanks anons

Reminder if you TRULY hate the korra series then ignore its existence and if you must get involved then spread the piracy

Sokka gay? This must be bait

Because yurifags were shipping it for 4 seasons and got what they wanted. This hardly happens so of course they would overrate the crap out of it.

> their way to meet Sokka's husband

I can't tell if this is a joke or not.

If it isn't, Sokka is now Iceman.

haven't even seen tumblr make noises about this. lok is dead.

That's so much wrong i don't even know where to start..

Are.. are we supposed to believe the guy who is trying to make an amausement park in HIS OWN LAND is the villain here?

>Kyoshi
>loved by men and women
>"gay"

the word you're looking for is Bisexual

I don't usually keep my finger on the pulse of fandom drivel, but five minutes in reddit suggests there's no pulse to be had.

>Look up reviews
>5/5s everywhere
>Not a single poor review

not sure what to make of this.

It's a joke.

The comic wasn't even that bad. Mediocre, but not even as bad as some of the Last Airbender comics.

Quality doesn't matter. As long as it portrays gays in a positive light, that automatically makes it wonderful.

At least that's what you have to say in a review if you want to keep your job.

The show was highly rated too, if you recall. Despite the fact that low ratings inspired Nick to cut the show's budget and dump it online. It's almost like journalists and tumblr don't actually consume the media they praise online so vehemently.

Screw Korra, I want to find out more about the Varrick family.

>Varrick: "EVERYONE! DO THE THING!"
>Cue waterbending mechsuit and embarrassed Zhu Li.

>she later admitted she acted like a shit
So the same as always?
Korra is being a bitch
She apologizes for being a bitch
She continues to being a bitch next

>She apologizes for being a bitch
Since when does she actually apologize?

in the show, often, usually to Tenzin or Mako

Kya being gay was a bit hamfisted, but I'm gonna let it pass.
Kyoshi being bi, sort of makes sense, since she was Korra in a past life - the Avatar spirit being both male and female makes sense that it would be bisexual.

Korra was a massive cunt to her dad, who's a bit old world and was just looking out for her.
Didn't like Asami suddenly becoming a damsel in distress for Korra; she always kicked arse on the show, even against benders.

Characters seem to act very similar to how they did on the show, art style matches really well.

The main plot makes sense, and will be pretty interesting - the whole spirit world vs human world fiasco, and now a half human/half spirit freak controls a major corporation, and will be coming after the Avatar.

I genuinely enjoyed it, my only issue is that they're really trying to cram a LOAD of content into three issues, so all the panels seem rushed.
It would be much better if this was say, a five issue series, and the Spirit World vacation/Meet The Parents took up the entirety of the first comic.

I wouldn't give it a 4/5, but high 3's would be an accurate rating.

>the Avatar spirit being both male and female makes sense that it would be bisexual.
you, like many others, misunderstand the kind of reincarnation that exist in avatar. They are not literally the same people as before, they merely share a connection, that's all. Korra was never Aang who was never Kiyoshi etc.

>They are not literally the same people as before, they merely share a connection, that's all. Korra was never Aang who was never Kiyoshi etc.
But traits and subconscious knowledge pass on.
It's based on the Buddhist idea of reincarnation, where personality traits and preferences pass through your various incarnations.

the rest of it was right though desu.

Korra is hilarious. Her random sperg moments would be gold if they didn't so often affect the plot.

That's the thing, it is if anything inspired by buddhist reincarnation, but it's not actually reincarnation. They have no traits or subconscious knowledge at all. Aang knew NOTHING about kiyoshi, even after trying all kinds of methods to make him remember. Her spirit had to literally possess him to get the knowledge aboard. And that's just it, her spirit. If aang had been her, the spirit would be Aangs, i.e. he couldn't even talk to his previous lifes. But he can, because they are different people. The fact that some are into men and some are into women and some are bi is just further proof.

Only two gays.

I actually kinda hope that the comics give some downtime where Korra can be her normal, maladjusted self without any major threat going around.

>Korra did you do the dishes?
>I thought it was your turn Asami
>Korra we made a chart
>THE CHART IS STUPID
>The chart was your idea
>YOU KNOW MY IDEAS ARE STUPID
>Korra please

I don't care about your soap boxes.
Just give me hot lesbians.

I like how her first impulse is to rule through fear and intimidation even though she supposedly matured over seasons 3 and 4. You would also think after what happened in season 2 she would be more reluctant to use the avatar state for petty things. Given her track record people will stop caring about the avatar state soon and just call her bluff.

The destruction in Republic City crippled the leadership of all the triads, and now a new guy who uses hookswords like Jet and chi-blocking has been making big plays and taking over and uniting a lot of the usually feuding crime families. Basically he's just minding his own business and consolidating power, but Korra gets into conflict with some businessman who wants to misuse the new spirit portal for profit, and the businessman basically hires out the new hooksword guy to use his muscle and push all the squatters and folks on spiritual pilgrimages off the land. Long story short, the spirits get mad that Korra brought trouble near the portal and fuck the hooksword guy up, he gets possessed and disfigured like what happens to people in the Wan origin story.

Hooksword guy appears to be a little unhinged and believes Korra as the avatar must have command over the spirits and that she sicked them on him, so now he's hellbent on revenge against the Avatar. He seizes the businessman (who didn't warn Hooksword guy that he'd made enemies with Korra) and takes control of his company and all his resources under the threat of his life. He's probably going to use those resources + the united triads to fuck Korra and gang up in the next one.

You didn't even storytime? Come on man.

I know you're joking about Sokkas husband but Mike is such a pussy bitch he can't even have penis on penis. Lesbians are commonplace and worthless if you're trying to virtue signal (which mike is doing).

This.

Your comment has made me decide to not read it. Thanks for letting us know no growth actually occurs and we're back to status quo, but with lesbian relationships.

She had to scare them away quickly because the spirits around the portal were getting antsy, and the dudes were threatening the Air nomads that were meditating there.

It's the same kind of thing Wan and Aang did to prevent conflicts, fly up in the sky and be like "ENOUGH"

Hmm, that's different then. I'll bookmark it.

>Lesbians are commonplace and worthless if you're trying to virtue signal
The term is Gay-lite

don't misunderstand him though, she still is the same retard as always, except this time it's mostly treated as something positive. She did a speech to some annoying crowd in that comic, and in reality and in the cartoon the people would have boo'd her, but this time? They clapped. Also in any previous instance, her opening the spirit portal would have made the people call shit on her, and yet it is only Reiko the man who gets shit on(and is portrayed even more of an asshole than before) and she is praised for it. Heck, even some spirits like her now, now THAT is really completely differenet from the original

...

Is this already storytimed?

If no, pic should be for OP.

...

...

Coran from VLD is a better Varrick than Varrick will ever be. We should've had that from the start.

...

Kyoshi is bisexual, Tonraq is somewhat sensitive to Whorra's newly found relationship, Sozin is a flaming homophobe, airbenders are gay asf, Rohan turned back into a baby, and Korrasalami is shit.

Also everyone in the comic is apparently VERY supportive of them, saying they're perfect and made for eachother.

Allura has a way better personality than Korra.
That would actually be a decent relationship, probably.

...

Also I'm going to laugh at Mike when he inevitably tries to make Korra the top in the relationship, when it goes against her characterization and the wishes of the fandom.

yurifag and korrasmai-fag here, it was cringe

Korra ruins everything

Nothing special so far but I'm kinda into it.

...

That retarded logic again...

"we have keep the portals open because spirits and humans MUST learn to live together".

Just why?

>one of the villains is le evil capitalist tycoon who wants to turn spirit portals and people's houses and turn them into an amusement park
I love when the story treats him as evil for walking out on a deal with Asami's dad years ago, even though Asami's dad was a crazed terrorist and arms dealer during that time.

They do this for any comic that promotes homosexuals and minorities, regardless of the quality. I'm not even White, and I would probably be called the equivalent of an Uncle Tom of my respective race if I reviewed most of the Marvel comics akin to Youtuber Diversity & Comics.

Bisexuals in fiction are just gays under a different label because if you write a bisexual character into a straight relationship, then you break the "show, don't tell" rule.

Lol avatar is pretty much dead to me. They butchered so much when it was laid out in stone for them to do well. Fuck sake.

It's an allegory for immigration.

Except Korra was able to do it.

So Raiko is Trump? Zhu li is Hillary? The portals are the wall?

Yeah, I kinda got that feeling too.

>Korra has to go wildly out of character to make it work

How so? She's acting the same as ever.

>the Avatar spirit being both male and female makes sense that it would be bisexual.

it's a good thing that it was Katara and not Sokka that Aang saw when he first woke up.

It overall pretty bad, the art is off, the story is weird with being both pro and against it's own virtue signalling and the sub plot is boring. Non of that will matter to reviewers though since it features a gay pairing, which is also handled like shit with Korra specificly being inconsistent and all over the place. Either she is super passive and "calm" or she is back to her book 2 self. And Asami is as interesting as ever.

Knowing bryke it wouldn't be that surprising.

>the Avatar spirit being both male and female makes sense that it would be bisexual.

So it also makes sense that they'd be more likely than anyone to laugh at a joke.
m.youtube.com/watch?v=aLkQfmUEyvk

She wasn't bisexual for the first 3 seasons. And she ended up in a gay relationship.

Not towards Asami.

So Avatar is actually redpilled as fuck because the Spirits have no interest in learning to work with humanity and actively ruin everything?

Don't know about that, Korra is convinced it's for a better world, and apparently all the citizens of RC agree with her. And i would be very surprised if she isn't going to be right about the portal when the comic ends.

I still can't believe it took a comic for Korra to finally come back to the city and fix the fucking magic vine problem SHE caused. It feels like the world is objectively in a worse place than it was at the beginning strictly because of Korra's actions.

She hasn't done anything to fix that problem though. And she is refusing to close the portal even when the spirits tell her to do it.
