Remember the time when comedy/parody movies is done right?
Remember the time when comedy/parody movies is done right?
i remember as a kid thinking lots of the jokes had deeper, hidden meanings. then i grew up and realize it was cheap gags but funny nonetheless
>lots of the jokes had deeper, hidden meanings.
also that's the reason why police squad got cancelled back then
Still one of the funniest movies of all time.
Walk Hard was the last good satire
It's a shame it did those episodes were pure gold
It's ok we got black dynamite 2 inbound my dudes
27y old here, I fucking love Leslie Nelson and all these old parody comedy movies
Every joke in this movie is obvious, telegraphed, and cliche. It doesn't do a single original thing
>Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?
Never really liked these. Can't really get into it when the jokes are based on people being downright moronic at their jobs, just too much suspension of disbelief needed.
Based John C. Reilly
Have you ever been to a turkish prison?
Surely, you can't be serious?
*kinos your path*
i am so sick of that fucking joke
You ever…seen a grown man naked?
I never understood what people saw in Airplane. It's ok at best.
Well, the whole Chick with dick part was kinda out of nowhere.
Timing. And jokes/puns so bad that they come back around to being good again.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
haven't seen this movie in ages tho
Some of the jokes drag on for far to long, like the line with people waiting to beat up one of the passangers.
I would say it goes on too long to become unfunny, then even longer enough to become funny again.
...
>Cigarette?
>Yes, I know.
>that scene where they’re in the jungle and he shakes the black tribesman’s hand
>insert cut of two white hands shaking
>he then hands them a basketball and they’re already amazing at it
It’s just so absurd that it’s funny.
Now, now, I'm sure that we can handle this disagreement maturely, just like the responsible adults that we are. Isn't that right, Mr PoopyPants?
I'm literally watching that episode rn.
>40 seconds in
fucking kek
Hugely overrated. The Naked Gun is superior.
>old white lady speaking ebonics
When was the last time we saw a mainstream comedy film making fun of black people/culture? Tropic Thunder?
They also touched upon abortion:
youtube.com
Officer booker and officer takeraway
it had tiddies and nips for a split second
The internet killed the spoof/parody genre im afraid.
Is there a list yet of TVs god tier comedy?
Naked gun
Airplane
Top secret
What else?
He was gone too soon..
I also enjoyed Wrongfully Accused, that fucking car.
top notch
>It doesn't do a single original thing.
What are you talking about, it invented a lot of this humour.
The Abbot and Costello gag
I love it
>I call her... Lynda
Hot Shots! And the part deux
>Who are you and how did you get in here?
>I'm a locksmith... and I'm a locksmith
His timing was always so perfect
