can confirm, this is a good version. the philosophy doesn't get lost in the translation. if you have access to a criterion collection blu ray however, go for it.

It's not superior quality over Criterion's release, but Criterion opted for making the intro and outro scenes really yellow for some reason.
If it's unclear, the version in the OP is not Criterion's version.

The new transfer from Criterion (2017) comes from the 2K transfer that Mosfilm did, the same transfer uploaded to their yt channel
Previous versions from Criterion (and many other distributors) are inferior
