Watched from the beginning yesterday and today, first season's monster was pretty basic but well executed. In season two I felt that they kicked up the horror a notch and was genuinely unsettling. Even though the monster was already identified in the first season already the second season managed to retain the feeling of threatening unknowability.
Both seasons are pretty slow to start though.

My favorite actor in the show, most believable nerd/outcast in that group. The scene at the dance with him is so brutally honest it made me respect the show twice as much as I had.
They tied up pretty much all the dangling ends from the first season, so eh? Here's hoping for a big timeskip if there is indeed a third season.
