A fan must have sucked a mean dick to make it canon.

It's from the games

When?

The Sonic fast food restaurant is known for making their food quickly and their iconic food I'd their chili dog. DIC made this Sonic's "thing" in the old cartoons as a reference and joke to that, and somehow it seeped into the comics and now, even the games.

It was actually in the early American Sonic bible that SatAM, AoStH and the comics pulled from. Some cheeky fucker at SoA likely put it in as a joke and the adaptations drew attention to it.

It was in the instruction manual of StH I believe. Old fag here. Knuckles liked grapes in SaK.

I already masturbated today fuck

I think it came from SEGA of America when they were trying to create lore. Other ideas included Sonic living in Nebraska, and his father dying of toxic waste.

They probably though it seemed like the kind of thing a "cool" kid would eat.
Presenting Sonic as the cooler alternative to Mario was the whole point, right?

Looks like a chinamen

>tfw Sonic made me try a chilli dog when I was a kid
>tfw chilli dogs are fucking fantastic
Thanks Sanic

I'm more amused by the fact that Sonic X picked up that trait.

>Sonic demonstrates how to eat a Chili dog in Southeast Asia

Every animal mascot needed a thing/food to obess over.

I'm pretty sure Sonic has done more for the popularity of chili dogs than Popeye has for spinach..

I'm hungry for a chili dog right now because of this thread.

ugh mushrooms

Mushrooms are great, beans are gross.
We don't have to agree on chilli.

what?

what?

A hog must love a dog.

But why a chilli dog? Hogs don't like the cold
Why not a hot dog?

Not liking mushrooms is a food pleb filter.

I always assumed it was because it came out not far behind the original TMNT series, and given the time, they figured giving him a food gimmick was a good idea.

>than Popeye has for spinach

Spinach's popularity is because of a typo. Look it up.

What's it like to still have a 12 year old's palate?

How old are you, babby?
