Obscure UK comedy kino. These threads are always full of the same programmes like The Thick of It, Blackadder, Peep Show, Only Fools and Horses etc. Instead of those obvious ones post some hidden gems that are overlooked.

15 Storeys High is a good candidate from the early 2000's, really good absurd slightly depressing comedy with Sean Lock. It also has Benedict Wong way before he became famous.

How is the new series? Heard they brought it back but that often tends to be a mistake.

watchable, better than some of the other newer one's, but I think we all know red dwarf is past its prime

Black Books was terrific, it's a shame it never renewed.

What about Spaced? I’m surprised no one brings up this show. It’s one of my favorites and all the episodes can be found on YouTube. Simon Pegg and some chick are the main protagonists.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about

Yes, I can hear you Clem Fandango

I love BB but there were some really weak episodes in there. It's still a comfy show though and I watch some episodes from time to time with a bottle of wine and cigarettes

Is Black Books obscure?

>no Doddy thread
Come on lads

This Morning With Richard Not Judy

Big Train.

The Day Today

A vast improvement on anything the BBC made after s6.

Early Doors

Features a young James McAvoy too

Brass Eye, you stupid faggots.

Darkplace

Brass Eye is not obscure. Its the one Chris Morris thing that everyone knows.

Still game

I thought that was pretty well known. Great series either way.

Underrated

Fuck yes. Also Look Around You.

Scottish shows are all obscure in the sense that nobody can understand what people are saying.

Correct answer, threads over.

Shooting Stars was a real gem. Very cusy memories of watching it with my slightly pished up dad on a Friday before he headed to the pub and I’d stick on the PlayStation or scify channel

christ I miss this show
great blend of comedy and horror
cancelled just as it was getting popular too

turns out Buckfast isn't actually that disgusting as drinks aimed exclusively at alcoholics go.
Better than special brew at least

I miss Mark Lamar. Whatever happened to him?

How about Phoenix Nights

>it's a shame it never renewed.
No it's not, leave it as it is

Spaced is pretty well-known and I've seen it posted on Sup Forums plenty of times. It's easily a 10/10 but it doesn't get much love on Sup Forums, a lot of people say it's awful and relies on referencing nerd culture, so they treat it like Big Bang Theory. Those idiots were probably born after the the change of the millennium and are too young to remember the impact Spaced had back in 1999 and the fact that it was one of the first sitcoms to do what it did.

I watched the new episode yesterday and it's amazing how they've managed to maintain quality for so long. It was one of the best episodes yet in my view

Taskmaster

Shame it looks like it's never coming back, but at least Vic and Bob are coming back with another series of Big Night Out

Snuffbox.

Boys from the blackstuff

I'm re-watching that on YouTube. 20 fucking years.

Also, love Snuff Box

>I love BB but there were some really weak episodes in there. It's still a comfy show though
I find this with every Graham Linehan comedy, same as Father Ted and The IT Crowd. All of them have great episodes and very poor episodes yet they're all incredibly comfy to watch.

>Ideal
Came here to post this, vastly underrated

At least it got 7 seasons

Exactly, that's huge by UK standards. Only series that spring to mind that got more than 7 series are Peep Show and Not Going Out

>The Worst Week of My Life was kino and I never see it posted here

I really loved Nighty Night.
