So he trained them on how to do the kick much better and they both went on to get KOs with the very kicks he assisted them with yet he didn't teach them? At the very least he was an influence on their success with the kick.
Seagal is playing up his part, and they're downplaying his part so the truth is somewhere in there. Yeah of course they knew how to kick, and front kicks weren't successful until after Seagal worked with them on it and improved their technique.
