Burn your Jedi bible, it's worthless

What did he mean by this?
>The person presented as wisest in the universe is a total nihilist.

As much as I hated the Last Jedi, this bit was actually good. The jedi code and jedi "teachings" have led to disaters again and again, by producing sterile, lifeless, shiftless jedi. It's telling that Luke - the best jedi ever - didn't need the code. He had basic human decency, and it was enough.

No dude, and this was what was so fucking dumb about Luke's speech, and the whole concept of the movie, because he should know, and it is even argued over and over through the series, that the force *naturally seeks to balance itself*.
As Jedi grow and power and become dominant, the dark side grows more seductive and Sith grow more powerful. Rylo Ken grows in power, the force gives hyperpowers to random girl Rey with no training. It doesn't negate human agency, but if Rey died then the force would just give even more super powers to someone else to balance out Kylo.
There was nothing the Jedi could have done to stop a Vader from arising eventually, with or without the code. Their code wasn't defective or anything, that's just how the force works its balance.
Anyone powerfuly working the light is gonna get challanged by a darky, and vice versa.

Actually it was message for Fanboys. "Hey, give up! Your time is over, now love this!"

Ben's teachings to Luke enabled him to bring his father back, redeem the Jedi, and rid the universe of the ultimate evil. But no let's hit the reset button on all that shit and make a poorly-thought out movie about learning from your mistakes by having Luke make them all over again. The Jedi were idiots and their religion should end.

But Rey has the books anyway lol LOL

>Ben's teachings to Luke enabled him to bring his father back, redeem the Jedi, and rid the universe of the ultimate evil.
Uh, no they didn't? The jedi were all like - you must kill Vader, Luke, your father is already dead. And don't go to save your friends, you must complete your training.

Luke did the good he did because he was a good man, who forged his own path, not because of some teachings. When he throws away his lightsaber on Death Star, he proves everyone - Ben, Vader, Yoda and the Emperor - wrong.

Wrong.

And then he tries to murder his nephew who did nothing wrong

I still think it was Yoda and Kenobi's plan all along.

"I'm written by a Jewess that despises Christianity"

Kylo was already seduced by snoke

>people think space budha was endorsing the jedi bible.
the state of star shitters.

Which means what exactly? Can't turn him back when he hasn't done anything wrong yet?

You watched the wrong movie brainlet. The actual state of this board is just sad.

You must purge the undesirables, both sides of the force understand this.

>"it's called 'subversion' you brainlets"

He wasn't advocating burning the books. He was advocating Luke letting go of them (and the temple). It was what Luke needed to here to move on; meanwhile, Yoda knew the books were safe with Rey. Luke was using standing around watching books as an excuse to accomplish nothing else. Yoda thought they all needed to take on the active threat. It's actually somewhat counter to Rose's mid-rape moralism about just saving things instead of fighting.

The brainlets who didn't get this part are the worst because we actually got information conveyed visually, but because people watched a camrip and missed Rey having the books entirely, they're basically advocating that future Star Wars movie need to make everything much more verbally explicit.

>their code wasnt defective

yea ok there 40year old star wars geek

the jedi
>took on a 8 year old slaveboy
>left his mother behind
>never let him see her
>never bothered to even just buy/take/trade for her freedom
>she gets MURDERED and the most powerful jedi pupil of all time goes batshit because of it
>doesnt let the same pupil get pussy so he has to sneak and causes the same thing that happened to his mother to happen to his wife

>nothing wrong with their code

I hate you jedi ass kissers...they basically forced Anakin to turn

Yoda summons force lighting as a ghost. Why didn't he just do that in return of the Jedi?

Didn't Disney threw him under the bus
