Hippo most likely, Rhinos aren't actually particularly aggressive whereas hippos are extremely volatile. Also Rhinos don't generally fight other males to mate, so wouldn't be as experienced as a Hippo.

Cap didn't even register on his radar as a real threat. He was just going to do the ol' grab and toss. Throughout both trailers he gives off an air of "I don't hate you, but you will never be able to win" disdain.
Cap resists him with all his strength, but c'mon guys... how much of your total strength can you exert bending your pinky and index finger? This would be like if a mouse held you back... Thanos is shocked/intrigued, but barely doing much.

For some reason I don't know why, people were impressed with this part of the trailer. But why? And how powerful is Thanos? Is he stronger than the Hulk?

He's up there, canon is he should be a bit weaker than Hulk, but he's wicked smaht so he constantly juices himself up with various cosmic forces. He also has tech savvy and more varied powers than Hulk.
Baseline Thanos is a big threat, but basically a competent foe, basically one where the Avengers where (if they team up properly) they will win. Souped up Thanos? If you let him do what he wants and tinker around with cosmic forces, he becomes literal God. In the movie at that point he has two stones in his gauntlet.

To be fair that was 2 on 1 and the Rhino also had his horn cut off (guessing ivory poaching or something), his demeanour plus lack of horn probably led him to back up against the water which gave the outnumbering hippos a big advantage

Ivory poachers kill the Rhino when they take their horns, so gamekeeps with dart a rhino and take the horn down as low as they can to prevent poachers from targeting them.
