Looking back at it now, though it was disappointing as a season and arc finale, the last episode was probably the best of the stupid Haven battle episodes. It only had one offensively bad part (cutting away from HEM vs RWB) and most of the other scenes were pretty good. Just needed a fucking fight

Hell, even if Maya is a much better animating program than Poser (which it is), multiple characters/scenes in V3 have been better than pretty much everything in 4/5.

We'll get a couple episodes of setup in Mistral before they get on a plane, get shot down by some Watts robot, and have to travel on foot the rest of the vplume. Tyrian and some new uber Grimm will be the villains. We'll pray for good character interaction and fights but instead we'll get heavy-handed exposition given by Oz, Jaune/Yang will voice their concern but be shown to be complete idiots for doubting Oz, and that'll be it.

Yang has only done one single pun since show started. She did it in volume 1 when she said she starts her semester with a "yang". Ever since then everyone thinks she loves puns and always does them in fanart and fanfics.
As long as Adam is alive, they, Ilia and Sun will always have death flags on them.

I doubt Adam could do anything at this point, after the writers made him go full retard.
It won't be dead for a long time but it's clear that the show will always be between bad and mediocre thanks to the writers, directors, limited budget, and spreading their efforts on multiple projects.

I think this has been the least "into" a volume I've been since the beginning. Almost nothing interesting happened the entire time and if something did happen, it was offscreen.
I honestly thought it was a solid 7 or 8 out of ten, so that's just like your opinion man.

I hope Raven didn’t just teleport to Tai only to run away instantly. I hope they have some scenes together next volume. Though it might leave things disjointed again, so they may wait until 7.
I dunno. I feel like volume 5 gave us shit tons to talk about and look forward to, it just dropped the ball on nearly all of it. Hazel and Raven were ruined once we learned their backstory/motivation, Jaune's semblance and Weiss' recovery was treated like a footnote instead of a big deal, Ruby still isn't doing anything, no clue what the relic even does, etc. The best part was Cinder losing, Weiss' Queen Lancer summon (even if it got oneshot in the finale), Adam getting exposed for the autistic retard he is (even though he got away scot-free), and Yang's development, even if it was a bit hamhanded in chapter 13.
I really liked volume 4, though I'm a huge RNJR fag and I liked Yang's plotline. I agree that it didn't really make you excited to watch the next episode though.
I want to know the timeline of Raven leaving her family and how much Tai knows. Maybe he doesn't even want her to come back, he only tried to make her sound good to Yang because she's her mom and didn't want to ruin it for her.

I find Vol 1 really cosy. Just stories about school, almost everyone having a crush on someone, the dorky character getting bullied and other low-stakes stuff like that. Not to mention, old Rube voice as opposed to the perma-chibi voice she now has, and she was an actual protagonist who actually did and said things. Vol 1 was corny as fuck, don't get me wrong, the animation was at its worst, as was the acting, but still, once every half a year or so I do find myself going back to it. The last song is maximum cosy, too.
