Sounds like a cool guy

i love taika

This isn't Sup Forums fuck off.

Everyone torrents shit these days. Even my mom downloads music albums off piratebay.

I don't see how this is news.

>the director of the greatest cape movie ever is in danger
>not Sup Forums

>in danger
he just made a funny remark probably and even if he did, he can make a prison documentary for the month he's on there.
everyone will love the kiwi

Well he is the director but you got everything else wrong

Unless he sexually assaulted someone, no one cares.

Didn't Dan Slott once complain about piracy and then someone pulled out Slott's demonoid account or something?

They have the internet in New Zealand? How does that work, are the routers sheep?

But he would have access to the master reel for his personal demo already. Why the fuck would he ever need to download shit?

>if it has a super hero in it it's Sup Forums
>thor is best cape movie
How are you so wrong?

>greatest cape movie ever
Is not even on MCU top 5

>leechers ever being sued

/ourguy/

>torrenting music
There are other ways to download music that have a lower risk of being caught, user.

No way, source?

That sounds like a hassle.

Copyright laws need to be updated. The standards invented in the era of the printing press shouldn't apply to the digital era.

We shouldn't get rid of copyright laws entirely, but instead institute laws that recognize the realities of the modern age. Things like the DMCA are as effective as Prohibition.

he had like 10 gbs of movies/tv shows including amputee porn

Sure but lets those laws apply to every other aspect of life before the printing press tho. Full overhaul or fuck off

>it’s extremely unlikely that Waititi’s pirate confession will come to much.
Who the fuck cares?

web.archive.org/web/20071011083528/http://comicsworthreading.com/2007/03/21/does-asking-downloaders-nicely-to-stop-work/
He comments in that thread, and defends pirating Torchwood because it wasn't available legally to buy at the time.

How can you illegally take something that's partly yours?

It belongs to the publisher, not him

Lloyd Kaufman gives zero shits about piracy, he'll be fine.

We are not here to discuss if he is a cool guy or not.

>purchasing anti-white propaganda.
lol

Yeah I noticed that too

How the hell does Asgard have enough people to not already be racially homogenous?

why did they make wakanda all black but asgard mixed and for everybody? "asgard isn't a place it's a people" really makes one ponder

>if it has a super hero in it it's Sup Forums
Actually, yeah.

IMPEACH RIGHT NOW

a place in the middle of african has africans but the magical space place has all kinds of people

Because Wakanda being racist is important to the lore, Asgard being all white isn't

Immigration between the more human-like realms. You think Hogun is the only one from Vanaheim?

Wakanda is hidden in Africa while Asgard is in space and seems to be the capital of the Nine Realms. So no one outside is getting into Wakande (even other Africans) while people from all over the universe will be coming to Asgard.

>calling it anti-white propoganda when whites are still the majority even in the screenshot

>dimwits

The OP literally says "DEFEND THIS". Saying he's a cool guy sounds like a defense to me.

>the director
Uh huh.
>of the greatest cape movie ever
NOPE
>is in danger
Still no
>>not Sup Forums
Definitely not.

You think the people that complain about this constantly know what Vanaheim is?

>the greatest cape movie ever
You did this for (you)'s and it totally worked, bravo.

Asgard isn't real. The only reason people think it should be white is because it's based on nordic myth, and they didn't even know black people existed when they wrote the fucking thing. It'd be different if this movie was set in Reykjavik rather than in fucking space.

Does anyone actually give a shit about piracy? I'm pretty sure there isn't a person alive right now with a working internet who hasn't pirated shit.

We mooch off Australia's internet; they haven't changed their wi-fi password in years

First off you got James Gunn's name wrong

second off his best cape movie was Super

Taika is the man.

Luke cage was diverse as fuck why do people always bring up the isolationists?

And they, the majority of the extras, can be white by the same logic. What's your real issue with this?

Same reason they had white extras during the Hulk Buster fight in South Africa and Sokovia was practically all white.

One of the reasons that I'm glad that the US' laws are intentionally slow is because I get to watch free shit on the internet. Once all the old people are replaced and laws are finally updated, I'll have to turn to the darkweb to avoid paying $10 for a movie ticket.

Pretty much everyone pirates and most creators should take the Lieber approach: appreciate that people enjoy your work and encourage them to then buy it legally to support the creators too.

Kim Dotcom, probably (not in a negative sense, of course).

(...and yes, I'm using him as an example because that's the only thing off my mental "piracy" and "New Zealand" Venn diagram.)

This is what I do but it's also because in truth the US doesn't really care about my money, since the amount of people who might contribute to their sales in my country amounts to nothing compared to the sales in the US. This is the sort of discussion that falls apart when people insist on buying floppies to support series despite trades being the actual export product for the rest of the world.

But that's a discussion for another place and time~

>We shouldn't get rid of copyright laws entirely, but instead institute laws that recognize the realities of the modern age.
true. The length needs to be set back to 20 years before it's public property. Zoning needs to be completely abolished. it needs to be legal to do anything to stuff you buy (like ripping and transferring data to a new device). DRM needs to be illegal.

There are other concerns too, but that would be a good start. People pirate largely because the pirated version is superior to the purchased version. Do the above and piracy will drop like a brick

It's clearly Sup Forums
And you're clearly retarded.

They have internet in New Zealand?

>The length needs to be set back to 20 years before it's public property
Yep.
Fuck disney. Hopefuly they won't be allowed to extend it again.

I didn't think the director would need to pirate his own movie.

What people here are ignoring is that the reason why he had to is because, like in most cases, these movies aren't ready made in a digital format that allows for transport, which is what would be used in a casual environment (a press release, home showing, etc). He's not going to show up at an interview with material from his own movie with RAW video or a film reel. And in an industry overly concerned with piracy and leaks, it's highly unlikely that a press copy would be easily available without a fuck ton of red tape. It's why screeners are usually incomplete, watermarked or low quality, not to mention regulated as hell to prevent early release (which still happens no matter what).

>risk of being caught
Fucking americans, man.

There is Internet even in Madagascar now, unless avast triggers an alarm on Peru.

didn't realize this was online
thanks for the info!
