Nobody gives a hoot. First season was boring as fuck and went five episodes too long.

Based Marvel does it again

>the disfunctional lesbian is now in an interracial relationship
Powerful.

*Picks you up by the back of your coat's collar and throws you a couple of feet at a wall*

No one cares. How far can a hype train get with one load of burned coal? Turns out not very.

I watched one episode of the first one and stopped. Should I give it a chance?

Havent watched the trailer. Is David Tennant back? What about Luke Cage, or are we going to ignore the other Netflix series now too?

Watch it for the villain. It goes on for about three or four episodes too long, but it's never (reeaaally) boring. It was more exciting to watch back in 2015 because Luke Cage made his debut in this too.

>It's an actual detective mystery
You get a second chance, Jessica Jones.

>Watch it for the villain
This meme again.

Yes, Tennant is back

A Shame Luke cages show goes down hill after a few episodes and undoes important character development lawl the wife was evil the hole time so now Jessica has no reason to feel bad

And that sucks because Luke cage is my favorite out of the defenders

I don't want to say that I hate Luke Cage as a character in these shows, but... fuck, dude.
He isn't cool, you know? He's preachy and sanctimonious. He and Danny were alright together in Defenders I guess but I really hope he loosens up soon.
Also the second Cottonmouth dies the whole season starts sucking hard.

>, but it's never (reeaaally) boring

yes it is

Fuck this, just drop it. David Tennent as Purple Man is just a retarded Manchild who for some reason becomes obsessed with our drunken coalburning libtard lead.

>dude I’m crude lmao
>dude alcohol lmao
>dude rape analogies lmao
Can’t wait

>He isn't cool, you know? He's preachy and sanctimonious

I 100% agree with this. This not any Luke Cage I know. This is some weird corny version because Marvel is only allowing Jessica Jones to be the "bad boy" of the group and they were afraid of depicting him like the comics

>He and Danny were alright together in Defenders

No they werent. It felt forced. We have a Luke and Dann who are nothing like their comic counterparts attempting to interact. It felt hollow.

Jessica Jones was the worst thing to happen to Luke Cage

I'm ready for fucking Kilgrave, because everyone else is garbage.

I'm not gonna waste my time with this one.

THIS.

Oh god, I forgot about all the race politics shit they forced on them. Never mind they sucked. But it's against my basic programming to not be excited for a Heroes for Hire tv series, which is what Luke Cage season 2 is shaping up to be. They finally have a chance to react to criticism so I'm actually almost hopeful.

Im not and dont expect them to deliver. Mike Colter was a terrible choice for Luke (he has stated he doesnt want to do action scenes, and cant act) and the entire H4H roster has been ruined. Danny is some whiny, ineffectual martial artist, Misty looks like someone's mom and Colleen is with Danny instead of Misty. It's cancer

>Misty looks like someone's mom
It's weird how you listed that with the bad things.

>(reeaaally)
This is a subtle yet powerful cringe.

Sure.

Yeah, because I'm so hyped for "rape analogies: the Netflix series". I don't care about 1st world white woman nonsense

yeah I did because I want a Misty that looks like Misty from the comics. Someone who is younger and looks athletic.

Yaya Dacosta is literally perfect. Or some other black chick with her build would be better than Simone Missick

>a year younger

Remember how fun Luke Cage used to be? The Netflix shows turned him from an urban black Wolverine to a corny, preachy, BORING character

There's ways to modernize a character without having to remove everything that makes them unique

>Do you know Captain America?
Tell me again about how these aren't set in the MCU?

Jessica Jones is the worst thing to happen to Luke in a long time

some people age better than others. Yaya Dacosta looks like she can stand alongside Jessica Henwick and be a peer. Missick looks like a fucking soccer mom

...

Its funny you say that, because if they'd made Cage a violent Mr. T archetype, Sup Forums would have gone, "lel, look at the stereotype they're trotting out, Blaxploitation in 2017, soooo progressive lol". The world Luke Cage lives in is too hard and morally bankrupt for him to also be hard and morally bankrupt. He's one of the few honest men in a world with far too many shades of black, and everyone calls him out for it. It's not like the show isn't aware Luke comes across as a little bit of goody two shoes, but its an important contrast that had to be made. Otherwise you'd have wound up with a Man of Steel situation, where both the hero and his antagonist are both so morally compromised you can't really see yourself rooting for either one.

They are and they aren't. Marvel Studios still isn't sure what exactly to do with Netflix Marvel. Personally I'd just like final absolute confirmation, and thats it. Don't need Chris Evans showing up, or for Ruffalo to make a cameo. I just need Feige to say, "yeah, they both take place in the same world", and thats it

They haven't been mentioned anywhere at all in the movies?
Tony Stark wants help with catching, so he turns to some teenager instead of like, Jessica Jones, who is very very strong and who became WELL-KNOWN IN NYC after the whole thing with Kilgrave.

>They haven't been mentioned anywhere at all in the movies?
And nothing from TIH has been mentioned in the movies either.
> Tony Stark wants help with catching, so he turns to some teenager
Spider-man outclasses JJ by a huge margin, and she'd say no anyway.

>wants helpt with catching Team Cap*

Ruffalo mentions trying to shoot himself and Hulk spitting the bullet out.

Oops the post seconds-countdown got away from me

>And nothing from TIH has been mentioned in the movies either.
Bruce in Avengers mentioned that he broke Harlem, as in TIH

>Spider-man outclasses JJ by a huge margin, and she'd say no anyway.
He doesn't know that?

>Don't need Chris Evans showing up, or for Ruffalo to make a cameo. I just need Feige to say, "yeah, they both take place in the same world", and thats it
The whole appeal of these things taking place in the same universe is the potential for a crossover. There's no other reason. Feige "JUST SAYING" it would mean nothing, to me.

That wasn't in the movie though.

Okay, what about them carrying over the same actor for Ross in Civil War?

Thing is, a kid swinging around in a bright homemade costume stopping SUV's with his bare hands is much more likely to be noticed by a guy like Stark, as opposed to a depressed alcoholic who running a small P.I. firm who intentionally almost never uses her abilities in public.

Daredevil would have been the more likely choice, but lets face it; if you were going up against Mr. Icurlhelicopterswithonehand, you'd want Spiderman on your side. Can you imagine how fucking traumatized Daredevil would have been at the airport battle?

Then Agents of SHIELD must be canon, too.

I'm not saying TIH isn't canon - it absolutely is. I'm just saying that so are Netflix, AoS, and Agent Carter.

Poor guy wouldn't have even gotten to see how big Scott got :(

see Luke had plenty of light moments in his original comics too. Plus like pic related, it's easy to do a modern, calmer take on the character without making him look like a complete stereotype.

>The world Luke Cage lives in is too hard and morally bankrupt for him to also be hard and morally bankrupt.

The original few issues of Cage's comics were pretty dark in terms of atmosphere and setting and characters. Why is dark street level okay for Daredevil but not Luke Cage?

>It's not like the show isn't aware Luke comes across as a little bit of goody two shoes, but its an important contrast that had to be made. Otherwise you'd have wound up with a Man of Steel situation, where both the hero and his antagonist are both so morally compromised you can't really see yourself rooting for either one.

Except that it made for a boring fucking show and essentially turned Cage into a corny black Superman? Essentially the opposite of his character in the comics?

Cage was framed for a crime he didnt commit. How they handled that in the books (with Styker planting drugs in his apartment and klling his wife wouldve made for better tv than fucking stealing a car and debating about MJ vs Prince for fucks sake)

>five episodes too long

This is true for every single one of the Netflix Marvel shows.

>why am I detecting radical changes in mass around the battlefield?
>Was that an explosion?
>Holy shit someones shooting arrows at me!
>Oh great, I got seperated from everyone else and now Captain America is going to fucking rape me
>I wanna go home

I think the more important thing to see here is that this is the first time that one of them has gotten an actual proper name drop and not just "the big green guy" or "the guy with the hammer"

Right, that was my point. It's getting harder and harder for people to scream non-canon.

Then again, they'll keep doing it until, and probably even after, Charlie Cox shows up in IW2 and shoves his blind Irish dick into Thanos's mouth.

Aren't all dicks blind?

Baneposting doesn't seem to be going away why would non-canon shitposting stop?

>his dick doesn't have eyes
Holy shit what's wrong with you?

>pick the ugliest darkest black woman they can find
Why is this a thing?
Then they play up the "she so pretty" angle when the bitch obviously isn't.

>Yaya Dacosta looks like she can stand alongside Jessica Henwick and be a peer.
using a photo from 8 years ago certainly helps

Will Patsy go crazy and die this season or are they saving that for her inevitable spinoff?

I agree, less eps and maybe bump them to 80mins instead of 60, 6 eps and a 7th ep 2 hour finale ep.

>Mike Colter was a terrible choice for Luke (he has stated he doesnt want to do action scenes, and cant act)

What a dipshit, why would you take the role if you don't want to do action scenes... is he under the impression he's some serious dramatic actor?
Look at his fuckin imdb page, wtf is he thinking?

Don't worry once the MCU decides to do a movie about them they can start all over again.

These shows are going to die once Disney pulls out of Netflix anyway.

...

The very first pornographic film I was exposed to did contain dick tentacles with eyes. I was twelve years old back then.

So is my niggas Nuke and Hellcat making appearances.

Cap has become so insanely powerful he could probably take down the Defenders by himself.

At the Mike looks the part. Why'd they cast Jones as Danny? He neither looks the part or knows martial arts.

God I just want Iron Fist to be good.

At least they got Misty having giant tits right.

hopefully. I want to see Danny done right

she still looks the same now

I have no idea. Also why is Daredevil more fit than Iron Fist? It makes NO sense whatsoever

The Netflix Marvel line is one big monkey's paw. The first JJ season sucked big time. This one looks about as interesting as drying paint to me.

Tennant's a good actor, but Kilgrave completely loses his momentum as a villain once he's captured. The show's writing is insanely inconsistent, sprinkled with really stupid lines that the show pretends are clever.

>Jessica Jones with minimal amounts of Purple Man
Oof. Hard pass.
