Mr. Greg was a mistake.

>you're a bad person if you don't give hand outs to people to whom you are not beholden
There are a lot of legitimate criticisms to level towards this fart of a series, but this is not one of them.

>becomes a millionaire through bullshit reasons
perfectly valid reason for a cartoon
>doesn’t buy himself a home
he likes his van
>doesn’t invest in a foundation or charity to help others
i'm sure if someone approached him for that specific reason, or becomes aware of one, he'd give them a ton of his money
>doesn’t help his friends with their money problems
they don't have money problems
>hurr durr, money isn’t everything!
not for him, he's just as happy as he was before he got money

charity is scam

On the contrary; it’s one of the many things wrong with SU.

t. Trump

Oh man that looks so shitty. Why is SU such eye cancer?

back royalties are bullshit?
does beach city have multimillion dollar homes? I think he likes being near Steven to move away just to have a big empty house
do we really want another "townie" time episode where we show the inevitable money problems and returning to the status quo because everyone wants their "share"
what friends?
money isn't everything...

Why do people keep making threads about this episode? How dense can someone be in order to get mad at a cartoon character not wanting to live a life of luxury?

>Implying it's more than one person.

There literally isn't a single well-off person who doesn't contribute at least some money to charity for tax write-off purposes

>A man is content with his lot in life even if he doesn't have much money.
>Suddenly gets a bunch of money due to the fact that he created a very good song that he wrote and preformed, and as such is entitled to some of the earnings based off those facts.
>Is surprised not much changes with his life since he's already content with what he has and what he's doing.
>Doesn't give a mouse a cookie
>People think this is a bad thing

it's not everyday I get to see somebody post an image I made while actually saying something I agree with. thank you user

You know Rockafeller the richest man in history spent his time helping the poor. The only roch people who don't help the unfortunate are those who inherited it like cunts.

>>doesn’t buy himself a home
>>doesn’t invest in a foundation or charity to help others
>>doesn’t help his friends with their money problems
This is why lotto winners lose it all in like 3 weeks.

Jesus was right!

He was a man happy with where he was. I wish to some day be as content with myself as greg.

just buy a bigger needle

Because Greg, like the show, lacks both direction and focus, but has way too much money.

>I think he likes being near Steven to move away just to have a big empty house
He could literally have a small house built there for him. Or even have an addition to his car wash.

>this thread again

Some charities are scams, unironically. That Susan K. Gomenasai or whatever it's called charity that is for research and treatment of breast cancer has most of its funds (donations from people, earnest or not) hogged by the CEO.

>This fucking thread again

So how do modern Christians deal with the fact that Jesus was basically a filthy commie/socialist?

SU is written by mentally imbalanced hippies who have no concept of how money actually works.

>When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
>Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Learn your good book, man.

>commie/socialist
Not even a Christian, but he wasn't. It's a gross oversimplification to say he was and in doing so shows your ignorance as to his message.

By doing what religious people do best: ignoring the parts of their doctrine that are inconvenient to them.

I didn’t watch this what did he do with all that money?

>Not even a Christian

Spent a day or two in New York city living like a king, then went back to living out of his van and working at the car wash like he was use to.

Mostly spend it on bullshit, he's poor again.

>through the charity of the lord it is possible
Wow

...

>all these clowns in SUPPORT of the ultra garbage tier plot device of CHARACTER GETS A LOTTA MONEY THEN LOSES IT MONEY AIN'T EVERYTHING

If you got a windfall of 10 million dollars you could hire an accountant for less than 1% of that to automatically invest and save the money in a manner that would generate 100% passive income for you that you could pass to your children. Or not, if you're worried they'd become spoiled or something. But you'd have a source of money that generates percentages of itself so that you'd never be wanting for emergencies or tragedies, etc.

Your actual desires and lifestyle choices wouldn't matter, you wouldn't have to let anyone know your finances or that it happened at all, you'd visit and/or call your accountant when necessary, it's your business. To not do something like this with that big a windfall is to be retarded. Hire the competency, like actual rich people do.

Sounds like being a decent person.

I give to Charity and laugh at protestants.

He never lost the money. You are arguing against something that never happened. You just went on a rant about your own fanfiction.

Self-effacement is the true victory. Emptiness is holiness.

he's not though
why are you making shit up

He said in one of the most recent episodes he's spent the last of the money

What episode?

I think it was Gemcation? It was an off handed comment

Communist Sup Forumsmblr strikes again.

I don't remember the exact quote, but it went something like "I can buy more hoses. I still have, like, nine million dollars left." His biggest expense to date was that boat that Lapis punched a hole through, and however much that night in Empire City ended up costing. But he still has to pay taxes on that, doesn't he?

He got $10 mil so then he's only spent $1 mil and the boat was probably the majority of it.

I dont keep up with this show, could someone fill me in on how he got rich?

You mean a monarchist.

>Writes song
youtube.com/watch?v=t3M47LlGAWU
>Scumbag former manager sells it as a burger jingle
youtube.com/watch?v=_UU_jHBlnv4
>Has to turn over the royalty check

>9 million dollars left
>WOW I CANT BELIEVE THEY MADE HIM POOR AGAIN SUGAR IS A HACK

why is Sup Forums so dumb

>doesn’t help his friends with their money problems
pretty sure he's still paying for all the damages

That makes me wonder, since the gems have been there for so long don't they own the land? Did Greg build a decent house with all the furnishings himself? Who pays all the bills at Stevens house?

I wouldn't be surprised if the gems are set for life or generate their own resources.

pretty sure greg pays for all their expenses.

they don't have any visible source of income and steven likes to eat out a lot (got to sustain the beach city economy).

just how do they go about asking greg for money though?

It might seem counter intuitive, but giving handouts is probably one of the most dangerous things you could do if you were wealthy. In fact 1/3 of people who have won the lottery in the millions end up poor for this reason. Poor fags would chase you for your money through any means necessary, whether it be through lawsuits or false friendhips. The more money you hand out, the more people will see you as a stingy little shit just because you didnt spend a little extra for another person.

He was a Jew

>becomes a millionaire through bullshit reasons
Any flash wealth is bullshit or at least stupid low. Let's just be happy it wasn't winning the lottery.
>doesn’t buy himself a home
he's lived in his van for what? 30 years? The guy is in his 50s and has never been big on the big life.
>doesn’t invest in a foundation or charity to help others
To split hairs we don't know what he has done with that wealth it's been brought up in what? Two episodes.
>doesn’t help his friends with their money problems
see above and add to the fact what money problems? Beach City is a nowhere town that some how keeps a pizza and fries joint going, every adult is basically living the life they want.
>hurr durr, money isn’t everything
It's not, it can help a lot but how much it solves in your life is a completely different story.

The way Beach city is portrayed it looks like a bum fuck nowhere town with nothing close to it, if it's anything like Oregon you can hit areas where people are basically living off the land in tents and what not avoiding taxes etc, because the owners of the area just don't care because they can't do anything with it. That shit can go south fast if the owners says "fuck it" and start something there.

> Rich people are inclined to help people with their money because they can afford it
I'm a poor college student, and you can fuck off with that mindset.
