What does it feel like to live in a densely populated city or country?

What does it feel like to live in a densely populated city or country?

I live within the red on the map and the biggest city I've ever been to has the population 72,000 in Sweden. And the biggest city in Norway I've been to is 50,000 population.

It's really annoying where you can walk for an hour and accidentally end up in Manchester.

kek does this happen?

It's really frustrating.

Between Stoke, Liverpool, Leeds and Blackpool, is about 20,000,000 people.

It just doesn't end. There's a hill, then another town of 50,000, then a river, then a field or two, then another.

I could walk in a straight line for 10 minutes in any direction and end up in someone's living room.

>live in NYC
>the people are smarmy, annoying as fuck liberals
>it's noisy all the time
>it's busy all the time
>everything is expensive
>trash everywhere
>it smells bad
>the women are degenerate whores
>nothing feels genuine or authentic
I will never understand the "live in a small town and my dream is to get out of here and move to a big city" meme. It's the exact opposite for me.

I live in southern part of Sweden but theres still nothing to do here. The stores closes early. We got like one espresso house that closes around 8 and people are in kind of a loop where they work sleep eat and shit.

When does the sun set in that part of the world in winter/summer?
Is there anything you can do?
How does it feel for you when you see youtube clips of big cities or warm countries?
Does it feels like you're not part of this world?

City: ~20 000 people.

Well, I wouldn't want to ever move to a dirty shithole like New York, well it's a shithole from what I've heard. Again I've never been there or any big city. But I don't see how there could be anything wrong with a warm climate, conservative city like Phoenix or Dallas. With good highway transport systems and good job opportunities, low taxes, low prices etc...

Skåne?

Sun here goes down 14:00 right now and probably an hour or two earlier in December and January, sun doesn't go down at all in summer which is actually pretty cozy.

>anything you can do?
Well, there is the internet. No there isn't much else to be honest, I do hiking and all of that stuff so I don't become a fat slob. But I pretty much go to work, do my shopping and go home.

>how does it feel when you see youtube clips of big cities or warm countries

Makes me want to go experience it for myself to be honest.

>does it feel like you're not part of this world?

It's not that bad.

Wow, sounds like some sort of megalopolis/megaregion. Without that green belt it would be much worse do you reckon?

kek I can't imagine living that far north.

t. östfolding

kek well anything north of sinsenkrysset is samis to you östjævler.

>Constant traffic jams, especially during rush hour
>No peace and quiet constant noises, sirens, helicopters etc.
>Litter and dirty streets everywhere
>Lots of inconsiderate people eg: parking right in the middle of the street and other asshole drivers
>Some nature but not much, if there is, it will be filled with dog walkers, chavs and joggers
>Crowded public transport and town centres
Yeah, city life is great...

London?

Nah near it though, in the South-East. Rural areas seem a real comfy place to live but I guess it's much harder to find a good job there? Here in the UK rural areas are more for richer and older people as there is so much demand to live there. Which is funny because they use to be poor working class villages.

When they say Britain is full they really werent kidding? Jeez.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lääne-Viru_County

> • Density 16/km2 (42/sq mi)

Well, London has pretty much grown into the entire south east right? jk, but seriously. The london commuter belt has become really large.

You know what ends up happening is people ignore herds of strangers and keep close to their own communities. It's like they're recreating a small town in spite of the city.

Only girls dream of moving to the city, why? Because the city has constant validation and cock availability without the small town gossip ruining their reputation. All of the upsides of fucking around like a slut, none of the downsides(atleast no percieved downsides)

It gets fucking annoying. I can't sit in my car at a stop sign or stop literally anywhere in the road for more than 15 seconds without someone pulling up behind me. Sometimes I like to stop for a second and look something up on my phone but you can't even do it on a secluded street or in the parking lot, there ALWAYS someone there.

What's your occupation?
Do you know anyone else who is redpilled/visits Sup Forums or the like?

STOCKHOLM: 5,000/km2 (13,000/sq mi)
>WAKE ME UP
>WAKE ME UP INSIDE
>CAN'T WAKE UP

In all honesty norskebroder, if you have a job and stuff I really don't see the problem. Sounds pretty comfy. Are there any girls there tho you can fug?

Basically Londons urban area continues to grow, the south east of the country is one of the most densely populated areas in Europe. As for commuting, it stretches halfway across the country, some people commute from Wales to work in London. Humanity was not meant to live like this. With the 300,000+ migration a year it is getting even more crowded, and we are not building enough houses.

>5,000/km2

Isn't Europe just one big city? They don't have any rural towns

I live in the SE too. Stopped at Folkestone motorway services en route to E Sussex for a day.
Blacks & arabs in the SS, everywhere.

Literal Hell

Yeah I've heard about that commute. I think it was someone who commuted somewhere between Swansea and Cardiff to London every single day. Crazy.

You've never been to NYC have you?

Is anybody here a village fag like me? 5-7 K people live here.

Orange-yellow areas have villages.

Hovedstaden checking in. You should come down here some time, it's fun.

Only one of my friends use Sup Forums as far as I know. I'm kind of in the closet when it comes to my right wing views. If they ask my political beliefs and such I answer them on that specific issue but I don't exactly go around throwing up any nazi flags to put it that way.

I work in public management at NAV. Yep it's really shit and boring, but it pays a good wage and luxurious benefits and pension.

Some nutjobs commute from France to London. Which is fine until the migrants cause Chunnel problems every day.

I've lived here my entire life you worthless piece of foliage goddamn are you lucky that my Sup Forums X fucked up and reset because I filtered your shitty flag and I never want to see one of your garbage posts again, you fucking unfunny subhuman retards.

Kind of. 10000 k

Imagine how cigarette smoke wafts across the room and can be inhaled by anyone who's near it.

Now imagine a whole street of this secondhand smoke.

Now take away the smoke and realize you're breathing in everyone else's air.

That's what it's like.

can I visit user? I like mountains and small towns

i go up north in norway often for work. would give up a testicle to live there, just heaven compared to this godforsaken shithole

havent experienced winter there though, might be rough

10000k wtf do you like in India or something?

All Norwegian bros in this thread.

How hard is it to get a job in your oil and gas sector, if you are a graduate chemical engineer? Would not speaking Norwegian be a hindrance? I would be able to pick it up if I lived there, I am sure.

Norway looks /comfy/ everywhere, and I like the idea of living in my ancestral homeland. I'm not a potato, despite the flag.

>live in NYC
You could've stop there.

The South-East is lost, nothing like it used to be as a child.

Even tax reasons are not worth that by a long shot.

Trondheim is pretty cozy except for the shitskins

We have to wait for the oil price to rise for any real job opportunities in that field again. But it shouldn't be too long. Maybe 3-4 years or less.

NYC fag here
ye also everything is expensive as fuck. and its also a liberal shit hole.
-20/10

my towns population is 11k, you don't know shit about nothing to do and small towns. I wouldn't mind living in a 80-100k~ pop city but not much above that.

I had to live in socal for years, the left is damaging to everything they touch.

And the left festers in populous areas like san diego.

>How hard is it to get a job in your oil and gas sector, if you are a graduate chemical engineer?
This is literally the worst possible time to enter the sector. Absolutely no position is safe.

Well, socal will die out as soon as government runs out of money. Literally the only way that desert shithole can exist is due to government water subsidies and such.

the whole state wants to secede.

I say let them, then build another wall to keep out commie defectors from the cesspool.

City people are internet-domesticated animals. There is no real connection to them, they are just shells. No soul, no nothing. Avoid cities, they are fundamentally sick.

Do you have any other chemical industries? Pharmaceuticals or food production maybe?

Yeah it feels like they don't even exist or have a purpose of existing.

>never having been to Oslo

kek

>Dallas
>Conservative
Not from Texas and that was my impression too. Go there for college and it completely defied all my expectations.
It's absolutely just as liberal as any other large city in the US.

I live in London, England

It's fucking gay, really fun as a kid though, if you ever saw the movie Kids about aids in new york teens that was basically my life but not in NYC

travel more

>Live in town of 4000
>Everyone is a sub 100 iq redneck
>Nothing to do
>Shitty schools
>Everyone does drugs and fucks like slavs
>Get tailgaited by assholes in pickups all the time
>Dream of leaving in a place with a decent population (50,000 would be nice)
>Understand that the big city life is even shittier

Small town life is only romanticized by people who don't live in one

Madrid is great desu. Clean, lots to do, great people.

I've actually flown a plane. Biggest city I've been to is Skellefteå. Which is a yearly drive there in the summer.

Outskirts of portland was fine by me.
Vast, rural countryside and forested areas.

IDC if there are a bunch of retarded rednecks, Getting high in the middle of a forest in a meadow next to a creek with my GF was the greatest thing I've ever done

Hmm, but Fort Worth can't be too bad, according to the polls it voted for Trump even. I like Dallas because for an american city it seems very clean and very orderly made, very functioning transport systems etc...

actually never flown in a plane*

kek
>weedman from portland

cliche/10

>I live within the red on the map and the biggest city I've ever been to has the population 72,000 in Sweden. And the biggest city in Norway I've been to is 50,000 population.
Go and travel a bit for fuck sake, i don't say you should travel around the world but at visit your capital city.

Hey i live there!
Oh wait, no I don't/ Everywhere in Britain is the same fucking grey floor, grey buildings, grey cars, grey sky. My mistake.

That's enough.

Now I know you Scandinavians are just making up words and tossing them in to see how long you can get away with spewing your letter-soup all over the internet. The joke's not funny any more.

I went to college in university park and it's very conservative in that area. The problem is the minority is hyper vocal crying shitbags.

I dislike it.

I visited portland, I don't live there.

Holy shit I would live in any part of oregon though omfg it was perfection

What?

I told that southeast norway faggot that they think that anything north of this point:
google.no/maps/@59.9374195,10.7849391,404m/data=!3m1!1e3

is samis and farmers.

y-you too

The the fuck brought you to Dallas from out-of-state?

Surely it wasn't TCU?

SMU

>Makes me want to go experience it for myself to be honest.
What's stopping you?

>16/km2
Wow, that's quite the coincidence

Cities are bad for mental health. Humans only care about a fairly small amount of people close to them. In a small village that could be everyone you meet in a normal day, or most people. In a city, you're surrounded by thousands of people outside of that group. You don't care about them and they don't care about you, everyone is worthless to everyone else.

It's why people record violence with their phones instead of helping. No one cares if someone dies, because there are thousands of other worthless people around anyway. It's not like this in smaller united communities.

When there is no group unity between people, it makes them more apathetic. It is bad for their mental health because no one aside from their close friends and family respects or values them and they have no one to respect or value. Big cities are a mistake really.

Shit, idk. Didn't think of that.

big cities create isolation and the socialism coupled with it creates violent crime

Ah I always forget about them

Interesting.

I live in the red, pop is 100,000 but you wouldn't know it. Kingston is really spread out suburbs basically, The only "downtown" area is one street polluted with homeless. Plus side is that I'm equal distance between Toronto and Montreal so many weary travelers stay here... I'd much rather live in Montreal though

I live in a town of 500 people :,)

>Lived in a nice town in the middle of the countryside, half of the town was oldy like and really relaxing to live in, there was space, sun, grass and freedom.
>Grew up there my whole life, occasionally visiting the nearest city which have me claustrophobia just walking around the cramped grey streets
>Happy and content in countryside town, there were so few niggers I could count them on my hands, everyone was white and happy.
>Enjoy doing shit in the countryside.
>Move to City in the south for university
>As I'm typing this I can hear niggers chimping out down the corridor of my student accommodation
>Its grey, small and miserable in the city
>Homeless people every 10 steps or so
>No space to do anything and everyone is in a rush
Feels bad man

>Noise pollution
>Arseholes
I just want to move back to the small town I came from and have friends there and a job added onto it. The people there are friendly, they don't rush everything, and you can relax on the side of a grassy hill while watching the clouds glide across the ocean, hearing the distant passage of cars but with no chance of someone walking on top of you.

Difference in america though is that you can drive for 10 minutes and you're already in a bigger city or on a major interstate. Here where I live there are massive distances between everything, also cities and even highways.

Was it Luleå you visited?

If only Canada kept it's British heritage in mind and didn't become Sweden 2.0 you could have come here.

Canada could have been a larger Britian but noooo, we gotta be fucking retards.

Skellefteå. Nice camping.

Is Norway really the Best Country On Earth™

>Weed

Kek. Stoners are tolerable. The biggest drug problem for my hometown was meth

Not necessarily.

I'm originally from a town of 4,000 in the middle of nowhere, Texas and it was a pretty good ways away to Austin or San Antonio.

But pop. density is directly negatively coordinated with suicide rate

Fair enough, its 8 miles to a 50k pop city and then half an hour north to Huntsville and maybe an hour south to burningham in Alabama so I guess it isn't so bad

I've been to London, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro etc.
Really don't get what is so fucking great about living in a huge city.

It takes forever to go anywhere because the subway and buses are slow/late/shit.

That odd degenerate who is the laughingstock of your small town? He and his friends make up a signifigant portion of big city populations.

Mudslimes/niggers are drawn to big cities like fly to shit.

Stockholm has hundreds more bars, nightclubs, coffeshops, malls, cinemas etc than my small town but people there still complain that they are bored and got nothing to do.

Everything is overpriced as hell.

I went there a few years ago, based town

Around 10k here, but only 15 minutes from a 150k town so more of a suburb I guess.

Oslo is the worst part of Norway bro, Trondheim is best city.

Pick a place and go. Bring a girl., if none are available visit Copenhagen or Amsterdam for the prostitutes. Be a degenerate for a weekend, it's kind of fun. Don't trust anyone though, we city folks are assholes. Walk down the wrong alley and you might lose a kidney.
