Have chemical engineering degree with 12 months co-op experience

>have chemical engineering degree with 12 months co-op experience
>graduated in 2014
>still can't find a job
>now make $26/hr working part time at a public school

who else here is a failure?

graduated ITT in sep before shit tier shut down.. have 28 a hour job.. before graduating..

Same story here but I graduated in 2012. Chem Eng is a dead field.

>$26/hr
>failure

I only make $30/hr as a chef at Wendy's. I know the feel lads

prob ugly senpai.

cheer up m8 your rich, unless those are cuck dollars

Nice bait. Guaranteed replies.

>have chemical engineering degree with 12 months co-op experience
I am guessing your unwilling to move? Oxychem in Texas would hire the shit out of you they are building an expansion. I would assume they would sponsor your visa.

It's not the money. It's the fact that you wake up everyday without a meaningful career or direction in life.

That's why you should've become a tradesman.

took chem eng too, ended up getting into a nuclear plant making 40/hr with increases every year. not quite in the same field of work but close enough. keep ur chin up m8 and keep applying

>have no education
>have no job
>give zero (0) fucks

artschool fag, pre occupy wallstreet awareness mind you fags.

went in hoping to learn the trade of drawing and painting as a freelance illustrator

fell for the artschool meme. saw dozens of red flags in the first year. but momma wanted a diploma, so i couldn't escape without being disowned

i now work 15$/hr in a warehouse.

i ran into a friend from the graduating year after me, and she said that only one person from her cohort got a job

one out of like 25

dead is an understatement

man if i was offered a job in texas id pack my shit up and leave straight away

I'm only earning $35 an hour at Burger King. I know the feels

22 year old NEET. I've done work experience as an aircraft mechanic, but I've otherwise never had a job.

>now make $26/hr working part time at a public school
Are you kidding me? Do you realise how hard it is to get a job in Aus? I'd be happy to work part time anywhere than be a NEET. I've been a NEET for 3 years and I haven't found anything. In my area, getting an interview for a fucking waitressing job is like winning the lottery.

Be thankful because many would kill to be in your position.

>uni civic engineering
>Literally the nigger tier of STEM
>If you fail 3 exams even after 2 tries each you get thrown the fuck out of uni
>Study diligently but still understand shit
>Failed every single exam
>Get blown the fuck out
>24, no degree , no nothing, total failure

Tfw when you are a moron

why is Austrila doing the whole 'immigration' thing?

Obviously you don't have refugees near by, there are plenty of people in the work force already

What is the reason

What went wrong with place where you did your co-op?

when even STEM degrees are starting to lose value in the labour market, shit's getting fucked. I met someone who got a masters in biology but was going back to school to get yet another degree

same. earning $50/h as a mcdonalds janitor and i have a masters degree in law

he is telling you to go ask and look stop expecting it too walk up to you, you obviously have the brains now go look.
t. 420 uni drop out who dreams of having a natural propensity towards science like you fucking lucky spergs all obviously are.

>have high school diploma'
>about 2 years of college
>enlisted in military
>MQ-9 sensor operator
>make about 3k monthly
>housing, food, medical paid for
>get to kill hajis daily.
it aint prime but it aint bad at all

So what engineering field has jobs? I know civil is bad, OP says chem, and there was a thread the other day about electrical. Are mechanical and aerospace still good?

lel I'm sure 6 years ago getting a degree in biology wasn't the best idea

oxy.com/careers/Pages/default.aspx you need to apply bogan.

>Do you realise how hard it is to get a job in Aus?

Nah it's just you. You're probably ugly/uncharismatic.

>Australian dollars

Same here but I'm slowly dying anyways so I don't have to worry about this shit anymore

Still I didn't want to die a failure but what can you do

are you a real girl?

Did you do your co-op at mcdonalds?

Electrical, mechanical, and computer/software are the best bets in my opinion.

>work at mcdonalds
>make 7.60
>would work full time if i wanted to
>most low level crew members make 8-9 hourly
>shortage of crew members

Why don't NEETs get working class jobs?

i know that feel

i got a degree in civil engineering. now i only take home 100k a month as chief fry cook for Carl's Jr.

I graduated with an ME degree 1.5 years ago and had multiple interviews and multiple offers before and after I graduated. Making 80k/yr right now.

...

>he fell for the college meme

sucks to be you straya

Could be worse. I work as a Lab Technician for a hospital after getting my BS in microbiology. It's got the highest projected job growth out of all jobs, and the pay is nice, so I'll never be a NEET.

The problem is that my job is literally extending the lifespan of old rich Jews like Soros so they can continue fucking our country.

I'm graduating with a bachelor's in chemistry this year and I'm basically fucked. I'm applying for my master's but I feel like that's just gonna add on to the bad decision. I shoulda switched to comp sci...

Just checked BLS job outlook. Chem has 2% growth, electrical 0%, mechanical 5%, and civil 8%. Electrical is actually losing jobs.

Was trying to figure out why you posted that picture and what it had to do with anything...

Then I chuckled heartily.

>be an electrician
>started at $14/hr eventually got to $22/hr after 4 years
> younger brother has a psychology degree
>your typical liberal cuck spouting nonsense
>works at a subway

>psychology
>im too smart for liberal arts but too dumb for anything else but meme science (biology, psychology)

Failure here, though it could be even worse.

>go to school at 18
>dumb and fall for the "follow your passion!" meme
>get poli sci degree, see red flags
>work a bunch of non-degree related internships
>get job as a data analyst doing GIS stuff for 18 an hour

Fuck my shit up fampai. Hopefully I will escape this trap. I honestly just want to buy a small lot, build a cuck shed on it and work part time for the rest of my life cutting grass. I hate the rat race.

>math degree
>300k starting salary
>any job I want

>t. 420 uni drop out who dreams of having a natural propensity towards science like you fucking lucky spergs all obviously are.
you don't have to be good at science to get an engineering degree
t. got 54 in physics in high school, now have an EE degree

afaik there's no growth in engineering jobs
>aerospace
meme engineering. get an EE or ME degree and specialize
>civil
i think this will be the first engineering field to get automated

>work at a shitty grocery store, minimum wage
>No college because I don't trust the Jews and all my friends who went got brainwashed
>Have plans to move to a commune and become self sufficient

Someday I won't be bottom tier scum

too long since ive seen this guy, what kind of retard takes SEVEN years to graduate in math ?

The best way to check is to just go onto indeed.com and do a search for "new graduate X engineer". If your search turns up 10 results like Chem Eng usually does for example, then you know the field is fucked. Alot of job growth might be coming from companies looking for experienced engineers of 10+ years.

Damn, all you intelligent fuckers...
>tfw you can't fix stupid

Is computer networking a decent avenue to pursue?

I ain't no mafs genie-us.

>graduate in chem eng from usyd
>apply for jobs
>interviews are almost entirely Indian guys
>never get a job because I'm white and they assume that means I'm lazy

aerospace is good. There's about to be a lot of job turn around in the next couple years. Most of the work force at a lot of these government agencies are nearing retirement. Gotta get that fresh blood.

This, shit is worse there than here

College dropout. Make $110,000 jerking off and writing JavaScript. TFW LinkedIn says my former classmates went back to stirring up lattes.

Geht oben und wieder versuchen.

>graduate with meme culinary degree in 2005
>work in restaurants for a few years
>get sick of all the mexicans
>apply for baking job at state mental asylum
>transfer to vacant locksmith position
>$22 an hour and tons of paid vacation +full benefits
government work is pretty good lads, sit in a remote office cutting keys and shitpost all day

those blessed by kek are living the dream

You must have went to a shit school or be socially retarded if you can't a job with that degree and coop experience.

My sister has a degree in chem eng and got a job with Shell within 6 months making >$100,000 per year (she moved to Ablerta).

It's about location user.

chef at wendy's here. 600k starting with phd in math.

also i have a 9 inch dick

>tfw you try to learn programming languages but it's all so boring.

sheit.
I'm going to graduate with chemE this year, I'm thinking about a masters in CS

I'm sure being female had alot more to do with it.

Learn something else while you still can, don't get stuck like typical salarymen. And don't get stuck learning forever.

>graduating CS in May with a decent GPA and good work experience
>tossed out about ~10 applications so far jus to test the waters
>already 5 call backs and 3 interviews

Do the masters and use that to make connections in industry. I'm trying to go back for a masters but haven't heard anything back yet. I've probably been forgotten about like usual.

I was a business major but switched over to computer science. Had to go to community college for this year and next but looking to finish at Tufts or Northeastern.

Me and my friend own a 215 Medical Marijuana delivery service, we got our LLC last month but was underground for 2 years prior

We bring in 35-40k a month as a business. But most of it goes back into the biz as reinvestment. But life is comfortable. I'm pretty happy I dropped college a while ago but I'm thinking of taking some business classes down the road to get a degree. But it would really be just to network. We go to all the 215 conventions stateside and meet a lot of new potential business connections. Have 3 indoor cultivation ops and looking to get land up north to do some greenhouse operations on a semi large scale.

Also opening up a satellite branch back in our home county.

>$26 australian dollaroos

lel OP

I did chem eng at syd uni, left in 2nd year when i realized i wanted to work in research but didn't have the confidence, motivation or support to do a md/phd

Doing property and business at ICMS now, 1 more year.
Making more now off online web coaching and supps distribution then i ever would have with chem eng, it's sad but science fields pay fuck all in aus and are highly underappreciated

yeah, I went to the UW and they have a professional masters program. I'll try to find a job in seattle and then do that after working for a few years

Graduated with BS economics degree.

Couldn't find job for 9 months, settled into a temp gig doing it consulting (I literally knew nothing I was doing, just guessing and failing a lot)

Temp gig ran out, worked for minimum wage in fast food restaurant.

Contacted by temp employer to apply for FTE gig

6 yrs later I'm making 70k salary and paid off all my student debt.

Still have a shit degree but work experience is pretty good.

Barely escaped the college debt jew

I'm in the same boat, except 2016. Fuck oil.

Weed sells itself

Good business to be in famalam

What are Sup Forums's opinions on Nuclear engineering (the best engineering)?

It is still around 20 bucks

That really isnt shitty pay

>tfw economy is kill because war and oil prices
>entire management department is fired at my job
>the new one decided to terminate my position and outsource it
I'm thinking about drawing furry porn for life, heard it pays well

Thanks bud

Took a lot of work but it's paying off nicely

My cousin actually does.

He's depressed in the sense that it isn't dignifying work, but it pays well. Pays all his bills and he can work from home or wherever really

Cool stuff. If I were to to do another type of engineering it would be nuclear

I was in college for 3 years before I got out due to not having any friends.

>bioinformatics degree
>graduated 2015
>have never even gotten an interview in the field, ever

I'm just like you, except I'm a chemist and had a full blown mental breakdown and became homeless after i couldn't find any work. I'm now on disability and live in social housing.

tfw neet master race

For all you jobless NEET bros with engineering degrees, be honest - how good is the university you went to?

Hate to break it to you but the reputation/perception of your school is just as important as your major.

I worked in my field for two years on a contract and couldn't find a job after that. I inherited some small rental properties and now I cosplay as mini-Trump. I'm not sure what to think about this turn of events.

>go to excellent STEM school
>majoring in materials Engineering
>graduating spring
>pursuing additive manufacturing of aerospace alloys
Feelsgoodman

>ChemE

Let me guess, you don't want to work in the mines out in whoop whoop or work in sewage treatment plants.

An engineering degree doesn't entitle you to a job where you can still live with your parents you actual retard. travel Australia or even the world, Australian engineering degrees are fucking gold

i 2nd this. i work with a girl at a fucking nuclear plant who got in before she even graduated. not university mind you. FUCKING COLLEGE.

theres alot of implications in this post mr frog

no one in this thread has suggested that it entitles people to a job. im happy to work anywhere, the geographic location of a job doesnt bother me

if you have any experience with travelling the world with an engineering degree let me know, otherwise you arent adding anything to this conversation. ive applied to several jobs overseas to no avail so far

Spending power isn't just about how much the dollar is worth on a global scale, it's about the price of goods.

Shit here is expensive.

Wow, thanks for the pile of shit you just wrote as if we didn't know this already. If there were jobs in a shit location I'd have moved there already. There are no jobs period.

>charge a grand to build a website in a single day for clients I get through referrals.
>4 to 5 clients a week
started little over a month ago with 3 clients in the first week. Already have 5 clients for next week at double the price.

Haven't gone to class practically all semester. Not even going to bother with my exams.

>tfw I live in the middle of nowhere in California with my parents and my only option is college

I'm fucking horrid in the maths so science and math related shit is unrealistic for me to major in. Narrowed down my options to Psychology and Geography.

>$26/hr
Fuck you

Your post genuinely gave me hope, thanks friend

That's that penal colony tax for you turboniggers.
