Isn't this sort of thread against the "rules"?

is he /our guy/

He was a fascist. In other words, he was retarded and gay.

....Anglo.

You Brits are all over the map. It's like you love/hate the guy.

so he was one of us?

Left the Labour party and formed the BUF to tackle unemployment and poverty that young men had faced following WWI. Later into the 30s he anticipated another world war was being manufactured and campaigned for peace in Europe. Adopted the blackshirt after commies and kikes kept attacking him and his supporters. Was imprisoned on the outbreak of WWII and the BUF disbanded.

The fuck was he imprisoned for?

Read his book

Brilliant economist that left the Labour government over their rejection of his 'Mosley Memorandum' which theoretically could've created more jobs in Britain but at a later date. This threw him into non-parliamentarian politics where he formed the New Party, which was protectionist and gradually became more fascistic. He eventually, after visiting Italy and meeting Mussolini, embraced fascism and formed the British Union of Fascists. The BUF was a well-known and iconic group with only about 40,000 members. Being the premier nationalist movement in the country at the time, a lot of British National Socialists like William "Lord Haw-Haw" Joyce--who became a traitor to Britain during the war, broadcasting via radio in favour of Germany--were members and became a significant faction of the organisation.

It was banned in 1940 and Mosley was interned the same year under the accusations of being a Fifth Column in Britain for the Nazis.

After the war, he advocated for fascism shortly but overall focused on Pan Europeanism, forming the Union Movement, calling for repatriation of Afro-Caribbean immigrants and decolonisation of Africa. He was never an anti-Semite, though was critical of the Jews as an entity up to the war, mainly to satisfy his party, but because he believed that the Jews, by declaring war on Germany ("Judea") was acting against European interests. He was staunchly anti-war, having served in the First World War.

oh gee i wonder

Always beady.

A hostile environment.

I looked it up because fuck it why not, "18B" or simply for being a suspected nazi sympathizer. It wasn't proper prison, he lived in a house. It's still fucking creepy.

...

They feared his fascist leanings would cause him to turn traitor against Great Britain in favor of the Nazis so they pre-emptively imprisoned him after the outbreak of the war.

Eventually he was released.

Just wish he stayed with a brit form of fascism with the buf, rather than trying the natsoc route. Brits aren't soulless robots like the krauts, that regimented shit wasn't going to fly here, we're too contrarian.

Had never thought about that way.

Biopic when?
