You also have to work the bolt from a pistol grip after every shot which again is easier to do with a traditional rifle stock.
Pistol grips have no place on boltguns, if you were using a semi automatic rifle in a DMR role then that's fine but there is no advantage to it on a bolt gun and as I stated before it's a hindrance

Protip, it's kind of a non issue because you don't wrap you're thumb around the grip in either case for most styles of precision shooting.
The grip, whether a pistol grip or a semi pistol grip just serves as a point of reference for your hand, your thumb stays inline with the action to avoid inadvertently rolling the gun by squeezing it.

Pistol grips tend to allow for a straighter presentation at the wrist than traditional rifle stocks, which is better most of the time; basically any time you aren't in a traditional, static sport shooting stance.
There's a reason that even in the high end bolt gun world pistol grips are way more common than they used to be.
