Was Sup Forums really liberal during the Bush years?

Hey guys.

I've read from a few people on this board that Sup Forums used to be EXTREMELY liberal during the Bush administration. Is that true or were you guys further right then?

Back then it was /new/ not Sup Forums, and no. They always had a reputation for being far right.

I actually view this place as anarchist more than anything. That means they have no right or left view.

Anarchist?

With all the historical revisionism and blatant honesty from this place, anarchy seems like the last thing this place wants.

Mainly because Darwinism may as well be the same thing as actual anarchy.

I was a hardcore neocon. I was 18 and most of my friends were a bunch of anti war pussies. As the war drug on and it became clear that we were lied to & bush was an idiot at best, I moved towards libertarianisim.

I was here doing the very end of the /new/ era and it was nothing but conspiracies and Stormfront. Can't speak for the Bush years.

Mote contrarian than anarchist, the true hipsters.

Anarchy means no rulers dipshit.

...

I used to be very liberal and I would say there were more leftys here in the early days. But Sup Forums has always been Nationalist leaning. It was never a safe space for the left, tho rightys used to get btfo sometimes.

Bush was a globalist pawn

also pol wasnt around yet

...

Sup Forums wasn't around back then.
But still, we made fun of Bush because it was funny. We were never liberals, at least what you would consider liberals today.

Anarchy means no rulers. It does not mean no rules.

Libertarian/nationalist, not liberal. The reason luggade lad had to re-make the board again and again, was because the plebbitors that swarm many other boards here get so fucking triggered by Sup Forums-opinions. That should tell you something about the attitude here vs. most other boards (many of which are as bluepilled as their theme).

Bush era Sup Forums went from being largely apolitical to libertarian with Ron Paul memes.

There were no boards dedicated to politics during Bush era so who knows, can only speak for the website as a whole.

Sup Forums didn't exist during the Bush era.

If you're referring to /new/, then I can assure you it was anything but liberal during its existence.

Who here donated to the original 5th of November money bomb in 2008?

>There were no boards dedicated to politics during Bush era so who knows, can only speak for the website as a whole.
There was /new/, my newfag friend. And it wasn't solely "Ron Paul memes", as a lot of newfags suggest; it still had a large stormfag population and a right-leaning orientation.

>being an 18 year old neo-con

are you an orthodox or reform jew?

>Was Sup Forums really liberal during the Bush years?

No. Not ever. Anyone telling you that is a new fag from redshit.

Yeah, that's true as well.

I always have considered anarchy as pockets of rulers continually killing each other and hop scotching one over the other.

I was around back before /new/, when we were /n/.

Wanna know why we were deleted in the first place? Cause we were as racist as we always were.

>It does not mean no rules.

Horse shit.

Extremely liberal.

>ron paul Sup Forums

you have to go back

>Extremely liberal.

Spotted the lying newfag

>Read through thread
>Read this

Nice one Shlomo.

Sup Forums is just based
You are but a child
I still post in threes.

/new/ was shit

>I'm a retard
You can still have inter-personal contracts and deals (i.e. rules) going on, the only problem is YOU will have to be the one to enforce them if someone tries to screw you over.

Didn't say it wasn't.

I was here then and hated niggers since i was born. First words were "zionist controlled niggers"

All of Sup Forums is shit, friendo.

You're right, but don't kid yourself; Sup Forums has had a gigantic redditor influx over the past 2 years thanks to our exposure in the mainstream media.

This. Shit used to be just anti-Bush, not liberal though.

Thank you Sven.

This place is always jittery.

That makes more sense.

We've always been liberal, we've just matured into classic liberalism. Though we arent without our fruit cakes.

>all these newfags not actually knowing when /new/ appeared

Also racist. Always racist.

There was no Sup Forums, Sup Forums is the third of it's kind

/new/ Puge /new/ Purge Sup Forums

It was largely divided between Libertarians and National Socialists. Now we've descended to frogposting and leftypol. I wonder what the next step will be

>We've always been liberal

1. No we haven't.

2. No one here says "we." That's a classic new fag mistake. Back to redshit with you.

if only there were an old meme we could track and use as a litmus test to the politics of old Sup Forums

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...............(elipses)

From what I remember Sup Forums was never really that political. It's always been big on freedom of speech and personal freedom (ie. the right to fap to cartoons) but never really took and active role in mainstream politics.

/new/ was like Sup Forums but without the political stuff. It was basically a board for complaining about niggers up until it's deletion.

...

I guess it was left leaning up until the left emerged as the true enemies of free speech.

Free speech is basically the only thing this place has ever been 100% in agreement of.

/new/ was a mix of libertarians, conservatives, liberals, and stormfags. It wasn't "extremely liberal," more conservative than Sup Forums as a whole was but more liberal than Sup Forums is now (and in general less radical)

Sup Forums didn't exist while Bush was president... newfag

lol at this revisionism. Obama was /ourguy/ in 2008. 2012 was when Sup Forums started to become Stormfront entirely.

wat is it normiefagits don't understand?

you are our pawns

we play with you

like a cat does a mouse

Only oldfags will remember 9/11 on Sup Forums.

I came here to post the better version.

No, real old fags will remember the Civil War and Vietnam.

didly diddle do punk rock

>not recalling the birth of the Christ

i shig

They failed to get a girlfriend.

pol hates the establishment. During the Bush Jr era Sup Forums was the right environment to hate him. Therefore Sup Forums had a more diverse user base. Those jewish late night comedians were OK, because the fought against the establishment.

When Obama became president, those comedians became lackeys of the government and the establishment shifted far more to the left.

A lot of classical liberals became frustrated and disgusted, when those "progressives" rose in power. Defending a dangerous religion, Islam, became "liberal" and SJW doubled down on their victimhood ideology. This lead to "reasonable" liberals to move right on the political spectrum (relatively speaking).

2012 was a big year for Ron Paul, but the RNC killed his chance on the presidency. This also led to more hate against the establishment. The party affiliation didn't matter. More and more people wanted the establishment to burn.

Trump was the torch to burn everything to the ground.

In short: the user base changed in more than one way.

Damn, I was only around for the battle of 1453.

Before Sup Forums there was /new/ and old /n/ and they were deleted for being too 'hardcore, right wing, nazi-ish.'

But they were popular. In my opinion too popular. As Sup Forums is one of the most trafficked boards, so we're its predecessors. But Sup Forums has something that they lacked. Appeal through memes. The same things we talk about now on Sup Forums were discussed a decade ago on /n/ and /new/ and even then you could see the redpill slowly begin to take shape l and seep through to the other boards. Moot and the mods tried to direct discussion towards more PC topics but they failed and that's why /n/ and /new/ were deleted. Even now we see people try to steer Sup Forums into a more liberal and progressive direction but Sup Forums not only resists but expels the invasive and unnatural ideas. Look at Anti-GG, CTR, etc. They all came here with war chests in the millions and failed to sway Sup Forums. Not only that but Sup Forums may have inadvertently redpilled many a shill into questioning their beliefs. And how did Sup Forums do it? Through sheer force of will. That's why the MSM refuses to mention us by name. They use terms like alt-right because if the average American was to discover Sup Forums not only would their core beliefs be shocked but their instinctual beliefs would rise to the surface once more.

I guess people just really feel a certain way without being taught. And there's nothing that the MSM, Shills like soros, nor the progressive movement can do about it.

No. Only libertarian

I'm from Sup Forums. We always liked liberals and colored waifus before Sup Forums or /cuckold/ existed. Drink your koolaid.

>implying that /new/ is surpassed in fun by anything other than pre-Sup Forums-harbor Sup Forums
ishy giddit

>being this new
c'mon senpai, you gotta lurk for at least 666 years before posting.

>I guess people just really feel a certain way without being taught.
It's honesty, user. The left hate their own instincts are are afraid of their emotions. Women aren't born into honesty to begin with, and the pussification of men (especially white) over the last 50 years has weak men thinking like women and afraid to criticize them. Since leftist women are afraid of masculinity (and everything else), therefore so are these vaginal men.

it was racist, and that's about it

Sup Forums has always been contrarian

under bush it was more

"alright niggers, explain to me why this monkey faced fuck gets to be president. HARDMODE: no "because his daddy was president"

under obama it was

"i hate this fucking nigger, explain how this fuck got to be president. HARDMODE: not mentioning the jews"

the more mainstream something becomes, the more people will come here to share their opposition to it.

the more contentious the views expressed are, the more replies and visibility the post gets.

What a retard. Ron Paul was our guy. Then Romney in 2012

Liar

/ourguy/ would have end the fed

More anti-establishment than just contrarian.

There was no Sup Forums in 2007 you fucktard.

I remember being on Sup Forums during 9/11 everyone was cheering and saying America deserved it.

You people have shit memories. /new/ was a degenerate shitfest - atheists trolling traditionalists, progressives trolling neocons, so much shilling for Obama in 2008... thank Kek that's over.

Sup Forums in its present form is the furthest right it's ever been, and it's glorious.
