Decent question..... Jewish God I guess kinda has a form in the Torah. He actively converses with people but also seems to be able to take the form of different things (burning bush, visions, etc). He's kinda just the watchmaker to the watch that is our universe, I guess? You'll get a different answer based on the sect of Judaism you ask. Mine is more along the lines of "divine and benevolent creator figure" while others consider God more of a force than an active manipulator.

The Rabbinic takeover of the faith and their subsequent creation of the laws that define modern Judaism is the only reason the faith didn't die with their temple. Kol Nidre is "THE" prayer for Yom Kippur, our highest holy day. It is basically your last attempt to ask god to forgive you for failing to meet your promises you gave to others. After that prayer your fate for the year is sealed. You may not have been "written in the book of life" if you do not sincerely ask for forgiveness for your failure to meet obligations. You're also supposed to personally ask those you've wronged for forgiveness before saying Kol Nidre. You do have to atone for fucking over Goyim. It's been explicitly decided on by rabbis hundreds of years ago.
