Discuss, buy some books, read more. Don't be an illiterate nigger

But are you illiterate and a nigger? Post a book you've read

I hate that these threads get barely any comments, yet obvious bait threads get +100.

anyone ITT have a goodreads account? is there a Sup Forums group?

also lurking

Yeah I hate that too. Those stupid 'if you don't reply you mother dies in her sleep' things get 100 replies, and actually informative threads that might give you the tools to better understand the world get glossed over.

I don't, but I have nearly all books ever made. If you need something just say so.

How was this?

>The mismeasure of man
>Guns Germs Steel

You guys got trolled. Get rid of those for sure. Where is A Troublesome Inheritance?

No De Maistre's Considerations on France

...

>engineering student
>go to university bookstore
>literally have none of these suggestions

I don't know why I tried mates

university bookstores are shit
just buy them online retard

I didn't make that list.
You don't need to be 100% politically aligned with the writer of a book to read it. Guns, Germs, and steel is actually a superbly written book that indeed does have some shortcomings, but that is to be expected of a book with such a scale.

Instead you mention 'a troublesome inheritance,' now that is utter tripe and weakens your argument significantly.

>Guns, Germs, and Steel is a superbly written book

author literally fabricated his own evidence

Some people take the intimidation shit too far. They don't realize that it eventually backfires.

Basic Economics - Thomas Sowell

>not reading books by living white male exclusively

Alright thread, lets get this out the way

>pic related

Is an overrated piece.

>overuse of Shakespeare
>Bland writing style
>plain characters
>ideologically defunct
>Tries too hard to be grotesque

Lets get this straight as well, Huxley was an urbanite with no touch on reality, who assumes that due to muh Malthusian Theory of Population Growth we increasingly grow more prone to kill each other via greater masses of WMD's until we enter a totalitarian state of eugenic control and eternal childlikeness. Except for an (((Elite few))) who don't because of their own capacity for reason which the savages (non-urbanites and plebian urbanites) can never understand.

Not even remotely redpilled.

Tragedy and Hope is a must read

Imperium?

Unabomber Manifesto. He was wrong in his justification for using violence to spread his message but he really got things right in examining the left and their motivations.

A friend told me Spengler cites homosexuality as, I'm not sure which, a sign of decline or a compounding factor. Is that true? I can't find it.

Speak for yourself.

My university literally has the Turner diaries.

Is it the same people in these threads every time?

>inb4 muh Machiavelli and muh Sun Tzu

Huxley hated socialism and saw where it was going to lead almost a century ago. BNW is a parable against European progressive nanny states, it doesn't get more based than that.

Anyways, I love these threads but do get bored of posting the same lists over and over. Here's a slightly different list than the usual suspects. Just saw it for the first time in a thread the other day.

How many other philosophers were this based?

Came here to post this.

Also:

>Churchill, Hitler and the Unneceasary War
>The Ascent of Money
>The Science Delusion/Science Set Free

You can't just read books that align with your bias.

Deal with (((it))).

bookstore ≠ library

My Uni also has almost all books ever written, but the bookstore is a shitty corner shop with maybe 200 textbooks and 100 novels.

>with your bias
Also known as "the truth"

Only Hume

>parable against

Definitely supports the inevitable decline of the west into a nanny state regardless due to his own urbanite perspective. He treats the progressing into an authoritarian state as something which is consequential, not something which he presents as a benefit to mankind.

misread his post, my apologies.

Reminder that Spengler was a Jew and that Jews are not the enemy. Leftist and Globalist Jews are the enemy for their leftism and globalism, not their Jewish faith or ancestry.

Yeah that's what I tried to say to that poster in my reply.
Look how exposed echo chamber thinking was in the last US election cycle. People should really know better by now.
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” - Sun Tzu

He was barely jewish, and political, organized jewry is indeed the enemy.

Except that Steven Jay Gould literally falsified his data to fit his political ideology.

Proof?

Occassionally someone will post a mega link to tons of /pol books...anyone here have the link?

Mein Kampf is hardly worth reading. Maybe to understand Hitler a bit better but there are far better books on fascism.
Even in Germany it was hardly all that successful as propaganda.

well I'm so starved I actually started reading the jack reacher series because its the only thing around... I need some books to read

>remember reading guns germs and steel when it came out
>some kid from UCLA commends me for reading it while I'm working at a gas station on I-5
>says his professor is always talking about it and how it explains the world

finish book
>the most brainwashed apologist bullshit ever written that goes beyond the darkies aren't incompetent, it actually says the Coliseum is equal in achievement to polynesians populating SE Asian archipelago.

anyways give me some good shit. no Nietzsche that guy fucked me up back in high school edgieness. whats that series about the confederates going to South Africa and taking over the world after WW2?

...

Should be required reading for all Anglos.

go find the redpill book thread on 8ch, theres like links to mega's with huge zips of files

Well the opposing argument of GGS is 10000 year explosion, you could start there.

I just read this. Has anyone read it? Really made me think.

Political, organized Jewry created the alt-right, both the Milo-tier anti-SJW one and the rebranded White Nationalism. Jews are more than pulling their weight on the Right.

>Political, organized Jewry created the alt-right
Nonsense.

I can't agree with you enough. He hits the nail on the head x10 with his analysis of the left. If you read even one part of it, at least read the part about the left

Excellent taste
I'd recommend "Thee True Believer" by Hoffer.

He gets the psychology of your average libtard but he doesn't identify cultural marxism.

Is there anyway I can read the freemason's bible without being a mason ?

It did not create the Alt-right, but it is trying to subvert it.

The Shadow Factory
read it because of /k/

>All about NSA and DOD circumventing constitution to become domestic spying organizations aka secret police
>goes in detail all about NSA facilities in Utah and the vastness of the server rooms
best part
>author rages about how MOSSAD is used to spy on Americans by having them process all the information on the taps they have on every major communications hub, AT&T, verizon, comcast, etc.

Political alignment is no reason to dismiss Guns, Germs, Steel. The fact that it is an incredibly simple and naive view of how the world developed put forth by a man who is politically motivated is plenty enough reason to be distrustful of it. The ideas of geographic determinism are not bad ideas or even wrong, but many of the conclusions Diamond draws from it can be easily verified as incorrect though. Since it's publishing, many of it's central points have been completely refuted. Time was not the book's undoing though, the points presented at the time could be easily refuted at the time, though further research in the field has amassed more evidence against it. A Troublesome Inheritance itself refutes many of Diamonds claims. For some reason you don't like that book, maybe because it's based on genetic research and a good understanding of evolution. Diamond's book is a simple feel good book. It's a simple world view that people want to be true. That's why it's popular. Diamond has always been a politically and emotionally driven researcher. Even back when I was in college and studied his work on Island biogeography this was clear and professors openly discussed his poor and unscientific methods of research. It's common knowledge in academic circles that he comes up with his conclusion and tries to work backwards to justify it. Diamond has almost no idea of why western Europe succeeded, which is not because of geography. Diamond has no understanding of how social and political development in western Europe occurred and how they played an extreme role in it's success. If you want better insight into that, you should read The Origins of Political Order. If you want to know the role sociological evolution played, read A Troublesome Inheritance. Guns, Germs and Steel is mostly useless at best, and complete misinformation at worst.

This I agree.

This one is pretty interesting, Mongolians were basically the Medieval Borg in terms of their methods of conquest.

Red flag books like that are just excuses schools use to put you on a list.

This. They squash grassroots movements by planting their own shitty leaders to discredit the movement. See: Milo

Jared Diamond is a fucking genius. Give him another chance and read the Worst Mistake in The History Of The Human Race

I recall seeing an imgur with all the Sup Forums monthly reading charts on it. At least 10 images/charts last time I saw it. Anyone have any idea what I mean?

Post a link pls

Just received this in the mail. Anyone who's already read it care to comment?

>genghis dindu nuffin he beez to all kinds of churches
Nigger garbage.

Considering I go to an ultra liberal school that's probably true kek.

I have them all. Where's a good place to upload that doesn't require making an account? Sick and tired of making temp accounts on MEGA.

If I was on my computer off post the mega link to the massive pol approved reading list. Instead I'll just to you of that it exists, and it has digital full text copies of a lot of good shit.

All things considered for the time period, Genghis Khan is pretty mild in terms of both governance and conquest. A lot of those numbers of his massive kill count are pretty inaccurate as well, along with most numbers like that from the ancient and medieval era. Many of the first hand sources who were contemporaries of the Khan were also his enemies, leading to some numbers that just wouldn't have been possible with all the population numbers we know from the regions he conquered.

I still say you should give the book a try, it might surprise you how an illiterate fucking Mongolian became one of the greatest conquerors in history.

An awful book to read if you're just starting out in traditionalism / Evolan texts.

Don't be deluded user, I'm no liberal. If you live in an echo chamber you're no better than they are.
You need to be challenged, you need to see different views. Use these to affirm your own beliefs.

Which books would you recommend starting with?

I actually agree with you on most points concerning Diamond's methods. Maybe I've been easy on him because I knew about the caveats before starting the book. I still feel like I learned a lot about general topics such as the Columbian Exchange, the influence of availability of different animals for domestication around the world, and agriculture in general. Your argument gets weakened however by continuing to push Wade's book while at the same time criticizing Diamond's methodology. While Diamond has received some criticism in academic circles, Wade has been totally denounced and disregarded.

Daily reminder that if you have not read through and properly critiqued at least 5 of Shakespeare's plays you are not white.

>Othello
>(((Merchant))) of Venice
>Midsummer Night's Dream
>Othello (who is not black)
>Romeo & Juliet
>The Taming of the Shrew
>Macbeth
>The Tempest
>Hamlet
>King Lear
>Caesar

Basic Economics. Good read so far.

Paul Gottfried is Jewish. He started the Alt Right and was Richard Spencer of NPI fame's mentor. Gottfried and Spencer have been around much longer than this board. You claiming they are trying to subvert the Alt Right like you're not the johnny-come-latelies is laughable.

The anti-SJW nu-alt-right represented by Milo and co. are doing good in their own way and is also filled with Jews. Ezra Levant isn't trying to make the alt right look bad, he's doing what he thinks is right and his enterprises got labeled alt right along the way. Same with Andrew Breitbart, another Jew.

Don't be a blind fool.

>implying Shakespeare was white
>implying Shakespeare wasn't a proud black man of color who taught whitey all there is to know about the fine art of literature

I see (((you))) white devil

Good pile of books, especially The Art of War and Meditations. I like coming back to the Federalist Papers every time I find something in the U.S. political structure baffling or questionable. Hamilton and Madison have a very clear way of explaining why the U.S. government was created as it was.

>All things considered for the time period, Genghis Khan is pretty mild in terms of both governance and conquest.
No he's not, he depopulated eurasia. You can literally see the effect of his depopulation in mineral data because there was a sharp drop in the % of CO2 in the atmosphere after his conquests due to so many depopulated lands reverting back to being forests.

>inb4 vegans and other environment nuts spin this in a positive way.

>I still say you should give the book a try, it might surprise you how an illiterate fucking Mongolian became one of the greatest conquerors in history.
Genghis Khan was no doubt one of the greatest leaders of men and one of the greatest generals in history. But he was an intellectual midget, and his legacy is one of destruction and civilizational decline. He was no Alexander or Napoleon.

I guess I should read some flat earther books to be "challenged", since according to you I need to shut off my brain and accept any moronic and nonsensical argument by virtue of "exposing myself to other viewpoints"

Hegel's Phenomenology of the Spirit

Paul Gottfried is in no way a member of organized or political jewry, you dense fuck.

By organized jewry, I mean the ethnocentric leftist/zionist political and media elite. Not any Jew who writes about politics.

Shakespeare's actually really good. I was initially reluctant to start reading him because I hate assigned school readings

>meditations
Mad dog approves.

>ghost in the shell
>not the Silmarillion

shiggy diggy

It's worth reading, but if you're new to Evola, read Men Among The Ruins first - it's a much more accessible orientation to what's involved and applies Evola's thought much more concretely to the world. I'd read Revolt after that, which will give you an exploration of what underpins the ideas you were exposed to in Men Among The Ruins.

If not the imgur, anyone have any of those charts saved that they wouldn't mind posting?

Do you mean the monthly book club charts? Go to the polbooks Wordpress site, they're all listed there.
